Ellison Onizuka Kona International (KOA) Airport Limo Service
Wedding parties, Ironman crews, and corporate retreats book our Ellison Onizuka Kona International (KOA) Airport Limo Service to move all guests together in Sprinters, party buses, or charter coaches.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Ellison Onizuka Kona International (KOA) Airport
Arrival at Keahole puts you on a lava field with the ocean on one side and Hualalai rising on the other, and the last thing anyone wants after a five hour Pacific crossing is a hunt for a ride. Our Hawaii airport limo service places a licensed chauffeur at the Kona curb before your wheels touch the runway, ready to carry you to the Kohala Coast resorts, a Kailua Kona vacation rental, or a coffee farm up the slopes of Holualoa.
Union Limousine has moved travelers since 1997, and our island operation follows the same playbook that families, executives, and wedding parties trust on the mainland: fixed quotes, live flight monitoring, and spotless vehicles sized to your group. From one guest with a carry on to a fifty person incentive group, we plan the trip around your arrival time and your luggage.
Why Big Island Visitors Reserve a KOA Chauffeur?
Kona flights cluster in the afternoon, which means rental counters and rideshare queues stretch at exactly the moment you land. A reserved chauffeur removes that wait and gives you a clear plan from the gate to the lanai.
- Flight tracking: we watch your inbound flight from Seattle, Los Angeles, or Honolulu and adjust pickup time when it runs early or late.
- Flat quotes: the fare is confirmed at booking, with no surge pricing during Ironman week or holiday peaks.
- Luggage help: chauffeurs meet you near baggage claim and load golf bags, dive gear, and strollers.
- Island knowledge: drivers know the Queen Kaahumanu Highway, resort gate procedures, and the best routes up to Waimea.
- Return trip planning: we schedule your departure ride around TSA lines and car return traffic at the open air terminal.
Our Kona Airport Fleet and Group Capacity
Every vehicle in the Union Limousine lineup is commercially insured, detailed before each run, and matched to the size of your party and the volume of your bags.
Luxury Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)
Ideal for business travelers heading to meetings in Kailua Kona, honeymoon couples bound for Hualalai, or a solo guest checking into a Keauhou condo. Trunk space fits two large suitcases plus carry ons.
Premium SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)
A family of five with snorkel bags or a foursome carrying golf clubs to Mauna Lani rides comfortably in our SUVs. Higher clearance also suits trips toward Waimea and the Hamakua side.
Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)
Choose a stretch for wedding party arrivals, milestone birthdays, or a celebratory welcome to the Kohala Coast. Groups of 8 to 20 enjoy lighting, sound, and room to toast the start of vacation.
Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)
Our most requested option for KOA corporate retreats and multigenerational families. Sprinters carry 10 to 14 guests with dedicated luggage space and standing headroom.
Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)
Bachelor and bachelorette weekends, reunion groups, and sunset tour crowds of 20 to 30 use party buses for transfers plus evening outings along Alii Drive.
Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)
Conference shuttles, sports teams, and school travel groups of 25 to 35 move together from the airport to Waikoloa or Kailua Kona in a single coach.
Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)
Incentive programs, Ironman support crews, and large wedding guest lists of 40 to 56 travel on full size coaches with under floor baggage bays and restrooms on select units.
Where We Drive From Keahole?
Most of our KOA trips head north to the resort corridor, though plenty point south to Kailua Kona or east across the island. Travelers who split their stay between coasts often pair this ride with our Hilo International (ITO) car service for an east side departure, and groups planning a full island itinerary can browse every limo service in Hawaii we operate.
Kohala Coast Resort Transfers
Waikoloa Beach Resort, Mauna Lani, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Fairmont Orchid, and the Four Seasons at Hualalai all sit within a short drive of the terminal. Chauffeurs coordinate with valet and bell staff so bags reach your room without a second handoff.
Kailua Kona, Keauhou, South Kona
Downtown Kailua Kona, the Alii Drive condo strip, Keauhou Bay, and the coffee country around Kealakekua and Captain Cook are popular drop offs for longer stays and family reunions.
Weddings and Special Events
We stage guest arrivals for beachfront ceremonies, run shuttles between hotels and venues, and keep a vehicle on standby for the couple through the reception.
Golf and Event Group Notes
Tournament groups at Kings', Francis H. Ii Brown, and Hapuna courses should share tee times when booking so we can plan club storage and staggered pickups.

History and Importance
Keahole opened in 1970 to replace the small Kailua airstrip and grew into the primary gateway for West Hawaii. In 1994 the runway was lengthened to 11,000 feet, opening the door to wide body jets and international service. The state renamed the field in honor of Kona native astronaut Ellison Onizuka, the first Asian American in space, who was lost aboard Challenger in 1986. A small space center bearing his name once stood beside the terminal.
Airlines Serving KOA
Hawaiian Airlines, Alaska Airlines, United, American, Delta, together with Southwest, operate the bulk of the schedule, joined by Mokulele for interisland hops and by WestJet, Air Canada, and Japan Airlines on international routes. Seasonal frequencies change often, so confirm with your carrier.
Domestic Destinations
Nonstop domestic flights connect Kona with Honolulu, Kahului, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Phoenix, Dallas Fort Worth, San Jose, and Sacramento, with seasonal service such as Salt Lake City added in winter.
Terminal Information
KOA keeps its signature open air layout: low thatched pavilions split into Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, linked by one central security checkpoint. There are no jet bridges, so passengers walk across the ramp to board. Baggage claims A and B sit outside each arrival area.
Passenger Traffic
The airport handled about 4.1 million passengers in 2025, and state planners are reviewing a long range master plan with terminal upgrades to absorb continued growth.
Parking Overview
A public lot sits directly across the roadway from both terminals, and a new parking system rolled out in January 2026. A cell phone waiting lot near the international arrivals building lets drivers wait up to one hour. Monthly passes were discontinued in 2024.
Pickup and Drop Off Guidance
Departing travelers are dropped at the curb in front of their airline check in area. Arriving guests collect bags at claim A or B, then cross to the center median, where rideshare, rental shuttles, and commercial vehicles load. Prearranged operators must hold airport permits, which our chauffeurs carry.
Ground Transportation Options
Choices include rental cars, taxis waiting near claim A, Uber and Lyft from the median, SpeediShuttle shared vans, and the county's Hele On airport bus service, which stops on the center island and links KOA with Kailua Kona, Waimea, the Kohala resorts, and Hilo.
Tips for Arriving Passengers
- Pack a light layer; Waimea and Volcano run far cooler than the coast.
- Declare fruit and plants on the agriculture form before leaving the plane.
- Text your chauffeur after you collect your bags so the car is at the median when you step out.
- Allow extra road time during Ironman in October and the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival in November.
Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Is Often Easier?
Taxi supply at KOA is thin after evening arrivals, and rideshare drivers often travel from Kailua Kona, which adds wait time and surge fares. Rental car lines can run long when several wide body flights land together. A Union Limousine reservation locks in the vehicle, the rate, and a chauffeur who is already tracking your flight, so your first island hour is spent on the drive and the view.
How Your KOA Booking Works?
- Share your flight number, party size, and drop off address.
- Receive a flat quote and vehicle confirmation by email.
- Get your chauffeur's name and phone number the day before arrival.
- Meet your driver at the median and relax on the drive to your hotel.
Need a professional driver for the whole stay? Our chauffeur service in Hawaii covers hourly bookings for meetings, dinners, and island sightseeing, while point to point needs are handled by our KOA car service team.
