What we offer

Gary/Chicago International (GYY) Airport Limo Service

Groups of 1 to 56 ride comfortably with our Gary/Chicago International (GYY) airport limo service, offering sedans, Sprinter vans, and coaches for teams, weddings, and executive delegations statewide.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Gary/Chicago International (GYY) Airport

Private jets, air charters, and corporate aircraft roll onto the ramp at Gary/Chicago International every day, and each passenger stepping off those planes needs a ride that matches the flight. Our Indiana airport limo service covers the GYY ramp, the FBO lobbies on Airport Road, and every route that fans out from Gary toward Lake County, Porter County, and downtown Chicago. Union Limousine sends a vetted chauffeur, a spotless vehicle, and a fixed quote, so your ground plan is settled before the wheels touch the runway.

orthwest Indiana travelers call on us for executive arrivals, international customs clearances, sports team charters, and family getaways that begin at the lakefront. We follow every tail number or charter itinerary you share, adjust for early arrivals, and keep your car staged near the FBO so nobody stands around on the apron waiting for a ride.

Why Northwest Indiana Books Our GYY Airport Limo Service?

Private Aviation Know How

GYY serves as the business aviation front door for the greater Chicago region, and private flyers expect discretion, punctuality, and calm professionalism. Union Limousine chauffeurs understand FBO arrival etiquette, ramp access rules, and the quiet confidentiality that corporate passengers and public figures count on. Every reservation includes:

  • Live flight and charter tracking with automatic pickup adjustments
  • Meet and greet service inside the Gary Jet Center or B. Coleman Aviation lobby
  • Careful handling for luggage, golf bags, and team equipment
  • Flat rate quotes with tolls and gratuity listed before you confirm
  • Bottled water, phone chargers, and cabin temperature set before arrival
  • Round the clock dispatch staffed by real people who answer fast

Routes We Drive Across Indiana and Chicagoland

From the airport we run daily trips to Merrillville, Crown Point, Hammond, Munster, Schererville, Valparaiso, Chesterton, and Michigan City, along with the Chicago Loop about 25 miles to the northwest. Longer statewide journeys to Indianapolis, South Bend, Lafayette, and Fort Wayne travel on the same booking, and families returning home often reserve our limo service in Indiana for the full ride from runway to driveway.

Linking GYY With Chicago's Commercial Airports

Plenty of itineraries mix a private leg at Gary with an airline leg at O'Hare or Midway. We coordinate those airport to airport transfers on one reservation, and South Side travelers frequently pair this ride with our Chicago Midway limo service for the return portion later in the week.

Our Fleet for Gary/Chicago Airport Transfers

Every vehicle arrives detailed, insured, and driven by a background checked professional. Pick the size that fits your group and your plans.

Sedans (1 to 3 Passengers)

Executive sedans suit solo business travelers and couples heading to a Merrillville hotel, a Hammond office park, or a downtown Chicago meeting. Expect leather seating, quiet cabins, and trunk room for two large suitcases.

SUVs (4 to 6 Passengers)

Luxury SUVs carry small leadership teams, families with car seats, and golfers with full bags. Extra cargo space makes them the go to choice for winter arrivals with heavy coats and snow gear.

Stretch Limousines (8 to 20 Passengers)

Stretch limousines bring a sense of occasion to wedding parties flying in for lakeshore ceremonies, anniversary trips, and celebrity arrivals. Ambient lighting, privacy partitions, and plush lounge seating make the short trip to a Gary or Hammond venue feel like part of the event.

Sprinter Vans (8 to 14 Passengers)

Executive Sprinter vans handle corporate delegations, film crews, and bands traveling with gear. Standing headroom, forward facing seats, WiFi, and power outlets let your team work or rest between the ramp and the venue.

Party Buses (15 to 30 Passengers)

Party buses keep the energy going for bachelor and bachelorette weekends, casino outings to the Hard Rock in Gary, and milestone birthdays. Premium sound systems, LED lighting, and wraparound seating turn the drive itself into the celebration.

Mini Charter Buses (20 to 35 Passengers)

Mini coaches move mid sized groups such as college athletic squads, conference attendees, and church groups. Underfloor luggage bays and reclining seats keep everyone comfortable on runs to Valparaiso, Notre Dame, or McCormick Place.

Full Size Charter Buses (36 to 56 Passengers)

Full size motor coaches carry professional teams, corporate retreats, and large wedding guest lists in one trip. Restrooms, overhead storage, and video screens suit longer hauls to Indianapolis or Milwaukee.

Gary/Chicago International (GYY) Airport Guide

Quick Reference

History and Regional Importance

The field first opened to aircraft in 1954 on 763 acres beside the Lake Michigan shoreline and today markets itself as the third airport for the Chicago metropolitan area, supporting O'Hare and Midway. The main runway, 12/30, grew from 7,003 to 8,859 feet and reopened in June 2015, which opened the field to heavy business jets and cargo freighters. Boeing chose Gary to base its Midwest corporate jet fleet, and 2026 brought a $12 million private aviation hangar, a $24 million air cargo campus, and groundbreaking on an $18 million air traffic control tower.

Airlines and Domestic Destinations

GYY currently has no scheduled passenger airline. Allegiant Air operated the last regular route, to Orlando Sanford, until August 2013, and earlier carriers including SkyValue, Skybus, and Hooters Air came and went. Airport leaders continue talks with carriers about restoring commercial flights. Present traffic consists of private jets, corporate shuttles, UPS cargo flights, and on demand charters linking Gary with business hubs from New Jersey to Texas.

Terminal and FBO Facilities

The terminal building on Airport Road houses airport administration and a staffed federal inspection station, while most passengers move through one of two fixed base operators. Gary Jet Center, an independent operator with nearly 30 years at the field, and B. Coleman Aviation both offer passenger lounges and ramp side access. International visitors should review U.S. Customs and Border Protection travel requirements before departure, since clearance happens right at GYY.

Passenger Traffic and Operations

With no scheduled airline, activity at Gary is measured in aircraft movements. The airport logged roughly 22,000 operations in 2022, and international arrivals set a new monthly benchmark in February 2026, followed by a customs milestone that April.

Parking Overview

Parking at GYY consists of surface lots beside the terminal and the FBO buildings, with arrangements handled through each operator. Pilots and frequent flyers usually leave vehicles with their FBO, while visiting passengers rarely need a space at all once a chauffeur takes care of the trip.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

  • Share your tail number or charter operator plus the FBO name when you book
  • Your chauffeur arrives 15 minutes before scheduled arrival and waits inside the FBO lobby
  • Planeside pickup depends on FBO approval and airport security rules
  • Departing passengers are dropped at the FBO entrance on Airport Road
  • For international arrivals, we stay on site until you clear customs

Ground Transportation Options

Rental cars usually need to be arranged through the FBO ahead of time, taxis do not wait at the curb, and rideshare coverage around Gary can be thin late at night. The South Shore Line station named for the airport sits about a mile south of the terminal with trains to downtown Chicago, though that walk is awkward with luggage. A reserved GYY car service or limousine stays the most dependable way to reach your destination.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Confirm your FBO before departure, since each one sits in a different spot on the field
  • Expect lake effect snow from November through March and allow spare travel time
  • Traffic on the Borman Expressway (Interstate 80/94) peaks on weekday mornings and evenings
  • Keep passports handy, because customs clearance comes before you meet your chauffeur
  • Planning a lakeshore weekend? Indiana Dunes National Park is about a 20 minute drive east of the airport

Why a Pre Booked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare?

A taxi may never show at a general aviation airport, and app drivers often struggle to find FBO entrances or refuse long runs into Chicago. A confirmed reservation gives you a named chauffeur, a guaranteed vehicle sized for your luggage, and a price that never surges. Union Limousine also trains drivers in private aviation protocol, which matters when executives, athletes, or entertainers step off a jet. Travelers who want a dedicated driver for a full day of meetings can book our airport chauffeur service by the hour.

Local Venues and Destinations We Serve

Our drivers know the region well, from the Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana and Horseshoe Hammond to Indiana University Northwest, Purdue University Northwest, and Valparaiso University. In Chicago we drop off at Soldier Field, the United Center, Wrigley Field, and McCormick Place, and GYY served as staging grounds for the 2026 Chicago Air and Water Show.

Corporate Accounts for Lakefront Businesses

Steel, logistics, and energy firms along the Indiana lakefront hold corporate accounts with us for monthly invoicing, saved traveler profiles, and priority dispatch during busy event weeks.
