Stretch Limo Service to and from Ottumwa Regional (OTM) Airport
Corporate jets, charter flights, and training aircraft all use the airfield on Highway 63, and every arrival deserves a ride that is ready when the cabin door opens. Our Iowa airport limo service gives Ottumwa Regional (OTM) passengers a professional chauffeur, a spotless vehicle, and a fixed quote before the trip begins. We serve executives, families, wedding parties, and visiting teams across Ottumwa, Wapello County, and the rest of southeast Iowa.
Why Choose Our Ottumwa Regional (OTM) Airport Limo Service?
Ottumwa sits in the heart of Wapello County, and OTM is the field that connects its manufacturers, colleges, and event venues to the rest of the country. A general aviation arrival has its own rhythm: the aircraft taxis to the FBO, bags come off the plane, and your car should already be waiting. Union Limousine has provided chauffeured service since 1997, and we bring that experience to OTM by meeting you exactly where your aircraft stops.
What You Receive With Every OTM Booking?

- A fixed quote confirmed before the trip, with no meter running
- Vehicles ranging from a 3 passenger sedan to a 56 passenger charter bus
- Door to door service to hotels, offices, campuses, and event venues
- Reservation support by phone and online at any hour

History and Importance of the Airport
The story of OTM begins with World War II. The Navy chose Ottumwa for a primary flight training base in the summer of 1942, and crews broke ground on August 6 of that year. The first Navy plane arrived on January 23, 1943, and the base operated as Naval Air Station Ottumwa until training ended in 1945. City records show 397,214 training flights across 925 days of operation, and the Friends of NAS Ottumwa museum credits the base with graduating 4,626 Navy pilots. The last Navy aircraft departed on October 2, 1947, the City of Ottumwa leased the property that month, and ownership passed to the city in September 1957.
Today the Ottumwa Regional Airport covers 1,440 acres along Highway 63, north of town. The field has two runways, rental hangars, certified mechanics, flight instruction, and an industrial park with manufacturing and trucking tenants. The city renamed the field from Ottumwa Industrial Airport to Ottumwa Regional Airport in 2008, and a $3.9 million renovation followed in 2009. Its importance comes from the access it gives local employers, charter operators, and visitors who need to reach Ottumwa without a long drive from a larger airport.
Airlines Operating at OTM
No scheduled passenger airline serves OTM at this time. Great Lakes Aviation flew from the field beginning in 1985, and that service ended in 2001. Travelers who need an airline seat usually book through Des Moines International or Eastern Iowa Airport, and we arrange the ground transfer through our Des Moines International Airport limo service.
Domestic Destinations
Because OTM has no scheduled airline, it lists no published domestic routes. Charter and private operators can fly to destinations across the country on request, and the airport offers charter service. Airline passengers reach domestic destinations through Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, both roughly an hour and a half from Ottumwa by road.
Terminal Information
OTM serves general aviation, so its facilities center on aircraft services: fuel (100LL and Jet A), hangar and tiedown space, aircraft rental, maintenance, flight instruction, and charter arrangements. The field has no control tower. Passengers step from the aircraft to the FBO building or directly to a waiting vehicle on the ramp, depending on the operator's procedures.
Passenger Traffic
OTM reports no scheduled airline boardings, and we found no published passenger totals. Activity comes from private owners, corporate flights, charter operators, and flight training. Traffic stays light, which keeps arrivals quick and makes advance coordination with the FBO simple.
Parking Overview
OTM offers surface parking at the airfield. The city has not published a rate schedule that we could find, so call the airport office at +1 641 683 0619 before you arrive, particularly for stays of several days. A chauffeur pickup removes the need to park at all.
Pickup and Drop Off Guidance
Your chauffeur meets you at the general aviation entrance, or at the aircraft when the operator allows vehicle access to the ramp. For departures, we arrive ahead of your scheduled departure window and help load bags before the drive to the field.
Meeting Your Chauffeur at the Field
Details to Share When You Book
- Aircraft tail number or flight number
- Expected arrival time and the name of your operator or FBO
- Passenger count and number of bags
- Destination address in Ottumwa or elsewhere in Iowa
- A mobile number for the chauffeur to reach you on arrival
Note for Private Flights
Check ramp access rules with your operator or the FBO ahead of time. We coordinate timing with them so the vehicle is in position when your aircraft taxis in.
Ground Transportation Options at OTM
- Car rental: the city reports that rental service began at the airport in early 2026 through a servicing agent
- Prebooked chauffeur: a vehicle and driver confirmed ahead of your arrival, with your destination already set
- Taxi service: availability can vary in smaller markets, so confirm in advance
- Rideshare: coverage near the airfield can be limited, particularly late in the evening
Tips for Arriving Passengers
- Share your tail number and operator with your chauffeur so pickup timing follows your actual arrival
- Check Iowa weather before departure, since winter conditions can shift arrival times
- Keep photo identification within reach for hotel check in and rental counters
- Confirm FBO hours by phone when arriving early in the morning or late at night
- Reserve your return ride at the same time as your arrival ride
Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Suits OTM Arrivals?
A small airfield has few vehicles waiting at any moment, and a prebooked car fills that gap. Union Limousine confirms your vehicle, price, and pickup point before you fly, so there is nothing to arrange once the aircraft stops. Taxi and rideshare drivers in a smaller market may sit far from the field when you arrive, and a chauffeur who has your tail number removes that uncertainty.
- Your driver is at the field before the aircraft arrives
- The price is fixed and agreed in advance
- Group vehicles up to 56 passengers are available for large parties
- Luggage, golf bags, and equipment travel with you in one trip
