What we offer

Williamsport Regional (IPT) Airport Charter Bus Service

From Little League week in South Williamsport to Knoebels outings and Penn State game days, we pair IPT arrivals with sedans, Sprinter vans, party buses, and full coaches driven by trusted chauffeurs.

Charter Bus Rental Service to and from Williamsport Regional (IPT) Airport

Group arrivals at Williamsport Regional Airport go smoother when a coach is already waiting at the curb in Montoursville. We run Williamsport Regional (IPT) Airport charter bus rental service for sports teams, wedding parties, corporate crews, and tour groups, and this route belongs to our wider Pennsylvania airport charter bus rental network. Every trip starts with a vetted chauffeur, a clean vehicle sized to your headcount, and live flight tracking from the moment you book.

Union Limousine has moved travelers since 1997, and our north central Pennsylvania routes cover Lycoming County, the Susquehanna Valley, and the college towns around them. You can reserve a single sedan for an executive landing on the morning jet or a 56 passenger coach for a baseball program headed to South Williamsport. Pricing is flat and quoted up front, with tolls, wait time rules, and gratuity spelled out before you confirm.

Group Travel Built Around IPT and North Central Pennsylvania

Downtown Williamsport sits roughly five miles west of the terminal, and the ride takes about 15 minutes by way of Interstate 180. That short hop is the easy part. The bigger jobs begin once you leave the city: a crew heading to a field office in Tioga County, a youth team checking into dorms on a college campus, or a family reunion bound for a lake cabin near Eagles Mere. We plan each leg with your landing time, luggage count, and final address in hand.

Who Books Our Williamsport Airport Coaches?

  • Little League World Series teams, families, and media crews visiting the ballpark complex in South Williamsport each August.
  • College athletic squads, admissions visitors, and graduation guests traveling to Lycoming College, Pennsylvania College of Technology, and Bucknell University.
  • Energy, manufacturing, and healthcare teams reaching plants, well sites, and hospital campuses across Lycoming, Clinton, and Tioga Counties.
  • Wedding parties moving between the airport, hotels, and reception venues along the West Branch Susquehanna River.
  • Tour operators running fall foliage trips to Pine Creek Gorge, often called the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania.

Fleet Choices for Williamsport Regional Airport Groups

Our vehicles range from three seat sedans to 56 passenger motorcoaches, so you can match the ride to the group without paying for empty rows. Each vehicle is late model, commercially insured, and driven by a background checked chauffeur who knows the roads between Montoursville, Lewisburg, and State College.

Smaller Parties and Executive Travel

Sedans: Up to 3 Passengers

A sedan fits one to three travelers with standard luggage. Executives flying in for a board meeting, a physician visiting a Williamsport hospital, or a couple heading to a bed and breakfast in Wellsboro will find it the most efficient choice.

SUVs: Up to 6 Passengers

An SUV carries four to six guests and holds golf bags, camera cases, and winter gear with room to spare. Small sales teams and families arriving for a college move in weekend book this size most often.

Stretch Limousines: Up to 20 Passengers

Stretch limousines seat 10 to 20 guests and suit milestone events. Wedding parties, anniversary celebrations, and prom groups use them for the ride from IPT to a reception hall or downtown hotel.

Midsize and Large Group Vehicles

Sprinter Vans: Up to 14 Passengers

Sprinter vans seat 8 to 14 passengers with high ceilings and rear cargo space. They work well for corporate site visits, film crews, and wedding guests who want to arrive together.

Party Buses: Up to 30 Passengers

Party buses host 15 to 30 guests with wraparound seating, premium sound, and LED lighting. Bachelor and bachelorette groups, birthday outings, and brewery tours around downtown Williamsport favor this layout.

Mini Charter Buses: Up to 35 Passengers

Mini charter buses move 20 to 35 riders in forward facing seats with rear or under floor luggage storage. School trips, church groups, and travel baseball squads with coaches and parents fit comfortably.

Full Size Charter Buses: Up to 56 Passengers

Full size motorcoaches are the backbone of our charter bus service, carrying 36 to 56 travelers with reclining seats, onboard restrooms, and deep storage bays beneath the cabin. Conference delegations, marching bands, and multiday tour groups rely on them for longer drives across the state.

Onboard Comforts on Our Coaches

  • Reclining seats with armrests, seat belts, and overhead racks for small bags.
  • Onboard restrooms on full size coaches for trips toward Harrisburg or Philadelphia.
  • Power outlets and wireless internet on most units.
  • Individual climate controls and reading lights at each row.
  • PA systems and video screens for tour narration or team meetings.

Luggage Planning Tip

Plan on roughly one checked bag and one carry on per rider for a full coach. Teams with bat bags, bands with instrument cases, or crews with equipment trunks should tell us ahead so we can assign a larger vehicle or add a cargo van.

A Brief History of IPT

The airport was dedicated in the summer of 1929, and aviator Amelia Earhart flew in for a ceremony that drew tens of thousands of spectators. During World War II the field supported Army Air Forces pilot training. For decades Allegheny Airlines, and later US Airways, linked Williamsport with Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. The Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority opened the current terminal on October 15, 2018, a $15.9 million building constructed beside the old one, which was later removed to add parking. Today the field has two asphalt runways of 6,825 feet and 4,273 feet, an air traffic control tower, and FedEx Feeder cargo flights.

Airlines Operating from IPT

Contour Airlines is the incoming scheduled carrier. The airline announced daily nonstop jet service between Williamsport and Charlotte Douglas International Airport beginning October 19, 2026, on a 30 seat regional jet. Airport leaders described an early departure around 6:15 a.m. with an evening return near 6 p.m. The Charlotte route fills the gap left when Southern Airways Express suspended its Washington Dulles flights on August 1, 2026, so the terminal has no scheduled airline departures until the launch date. Energy Aviation serves as the fixed base operator for private and charter aircraft.

Domestic Destinations

Charlotte is the only nonstop city on the IPT schedule. From that hub, Contour's partner airlines open onward connections to hundreds of cities across the United States. Travelers who want more nonstop choices often drive to larger airports, and our coaches cover those routes too, as outlined in the connections section below.

Terminal Information

IPT operates one compact terminal with a jet bridge, an airline ticket counter, a TSA checkpoint, a baggage carousel, and rental car counters. Free wireless internet covers the building, an ATM stands beside the inbound baggage carousel, and meeting space is available. Published terminal hours run roughly 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends, although hours shift with flight times, so call ahead before a late arrival. The TSA checkpoint usually opens 30 to 45 minutes before a scheduled departure.

Passenger Traffic

Williamsport is a small regional airport. FAA figures from 2016 counted close to 40,000 passengers for the year, and volume ran lower during the era of nine seat turboprop flights to Dulles. Regional business leaders have called the new Charlotte jet a major win for local growth. For groups, light traffic means short lines, a quick walk from gate to curb, and an easy meeting point for your chauffeur.

Parking Overview

Parking at IPT is free for passengers, and the lot sits a short walk from the terminal doors. Group leaders who drive in to meet a coach can leave personal vehicles there, though it is wise to confirm longer stays with airport staff. Our coaches never occupy passenger stalls; chauffeurs stage nearby and pull forward once your group reaches baggage claim.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

The airport permits curbside drop off and pick up in front of the terminal as long as the driver stays with the vehicle, and unattended vehicles are not allowed in the loading zone. Our chauffeurs arrive early, confirm your flight, and hold the curb only for active loading. Bags go from the carousel straight into the cargo bay, and your group is rolling within minutes.

  • Send your flight number so dispatch can follow the Charlotte arrival in real time.
  • Name one lead contact with a mobile number for the chauffeur to call.
  • Tell us about wheelchairs, strollers, or oversized equipment before travel day.

Ground Transportation Options

Arriving travelers can use the rental car counters inside the terminal, local taxi companies, or rideshare apps, and River Valley Transit runs city bus routes within Williamsport. Rideshare coverage in Lycoming County is thin, especially at dawn and after dark. The terminal sits at the end of South Loyalsock Avenue in Montoursville. Westbound drivers on Interstate 180 use Exit 21, while eastbound drivers take Exit 23 at Warrensville and continue straight to Broad Street before following the airport signs.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Carry a REAL ID compliant license or a passport, which Pennsylvania travelers have needed for domestic flights since May 7, 2025.
  • Confirm the Contour schedule for your exact date, since a single daily round trip leaves little room for disruption.
  • Build a generous layover in Charlotte to protect the one evening flight home to Williamsport.
  • Text your chauffeur when the jet reaches the gate so the coach is at the curb when you walk out.
  • Pack a light jacket, since mornings in the West Branch Valley often run cool.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Service Wins at IPT?

With one evening jet from Charlotte, up to 30 passengers reach the curb at the same moment, and a small market like Williamsport has only a handful of taxis and rideshare drivers on call. Groups that wait for an app risk long delays or a split party. A prebooked Union Limousine chauffeur is confirmed days ahead, tracks your flight, meets you with a name sign, and loads every bag into one vehicle. Your rate is locked at booking, so a late arrival never triggers surge pricing, and the whole team, wedding party, or tour group stays together from terminal to final stop.

Popular Routes from IPT Across Pennsylvania

Most of our Williamsport trips stay within an hour or two of the airport, and we also plan longer charter bus rental in Pennsylvania itineraries to Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Hershey, and Pittsburgh.

Williamsport and Lycoming County Stops

The Little League complex in South Williamsport sits about 15 minutes from the terminal, and August traffic around the stadiums builds quickly, so we schedule drop offs around team check in windows. Closer to downtown, Lycoming College publishes campus directions that lead visitors to the Krapf Gateway Center lot on East Fourth Street, a handy meeting point for admissions tours and athletic visits. Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Community Arts Center on West Fourth Street round out our most requested local stops.

Day Trips and Regional Venues

Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, about an hour southeast, offers free admission, free parking, and free pavilion space for booked group picnics, which makes it a favorite for company outings and school trips. Bucknell University in Lewisburg is roughly 35 minutes south, Penn State fans bound for Beaver Stadium face about a 75 minute drive west, and Pine Creek Gorge near Wellsboro draws autumn tour groups about an hour north.

Connecting to Larger Airports

When a Williamsport flight does not fit your schedule, we meet groups at bigger airports and bring them north. Our Harrisburg International (MDT) charter bus pickups sit about 90 miles south, and our Elmira Corning Regional (ELM) airport charter bus runs cover the curb roughly 75 miles north along US 15. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh transfers are available for large delegations with international connections.
