Ted Stevens Anchorage International (ANC) Airport Limo Service
Winter roads, late landings and oversized gear are handled for you. Our Ted Stevens Anchorage International (ANC) Airport Limo Service pairs flight tracking with studded tires and a warm, ready cabin.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Ted Stevens Anchorage International (ANC) Airport
Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport receives the majority of passenger flights into the state, and every one of those arrivals ends with the same question: who is waiting at the curb? Our Alaska airport limo service answers it with a licensed chauffeur positioned at baggage claim before your wheels touch the runway. From the South Terminal arrivals level to the North Terminal international hall, we handle the pickup so you can focus on the journey ahead, whether it ends in downtown Anchorage, Girdwood, the Mat Su Valley or a cruise ship berth on Prince William Sound.
ANC sits on the western edge of the city, bordered by Lake Hood, Kincaid Park and the waters of Cook Inlet. Traffic here follows the seasons. Summer brings cruise coaches, rental car queues and midnight sun departures; winter brings frozen lanes, reduced daylight and flights that land late because of ice. Our chauffeurs work this airport in all twelve months and know which doors, lanes and exits keep a transfer moving.
Why Alaska Travelers Prebook ANC Limo Transfers?
Flight Monitoring and In Terminal Meet and Greet
Red eye flights from Seattle, delayed connections through Denver and weather holds over the Chugach Mountains all shift arrival times. Union Limousine tracks your inbound flight number and adjusts the chauffeur's dispatch automatically, so a late landing costs you nothing extra and an early one still finds a driver in place. Inside the terminal, your chauffeur holds a name sign at the carousel, manages the luggage cart and walks you to a warmed cabin.
Flat Rate Pricing Built for Alaska Distances
An Anchorage airport run can be a six mile hop downtown or a 125 mile drive to Seward. We quote a flat rate in advance that already covers fuel, winter equipment and wait time, so the number you approve is the number you pay. Corporate accounts receive monthly invoicing and ride reports, and travel managers can book repeat crew rotations with a single email.
Winter Ready Vehicles and Chauffeurs
Driving conditions around Anchorage change fast between October and April. Every vehicle we dispatch to ANC in those months is prepared for it:
- Studded or winter rated tires and all wheel drive SUVs for icy approach roads
- Engine block heaters and preheated cabins for pickups in subzero temperatures
- Emergency kits, extra blankets and traction aids on every long distance run
- Chauffeurs trained for glare ice, moose crossings and reduced daylight driving
Fleet Choices for Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport
Match the vehicle to the headcount and the luggage. Fishing rod tubes, ski bags and expedition duffels fill a trunk quickly, so tell us what you are bringing and we will size the vehicle accordingly. Each class in the Union Limousine Anchorage fleet is detailed, climate controlled and driven by a professional chauffeur.
- Sedans, up to 3 passengers: executive arrivals, couples bound for downtown hotels, solo travelers heading to Midtown offices
- SUVs, up to 6 passengers: families with gear, winter transfers on unplowed side roads, lodge runs toward Girdwood and Eagle River
- Stretch limousines, up to 20 passengers: weddings at the Hotel Captain Cook, anniversary surprises, VIP and celebrity arrivals
- Sprinter vans, up to 14 passengers: fishing parties, photography tours, corporate teams carrying equipment cases
- Party buses, up to 30 passengers: bachelor and bachelorette weekends, brewery crawls, milestone birthday arrivals
- Mini charter buses, up to 35 passengers: cruise line transfer groups, sports teams, church and school delegations
- Full size charter buses, up to 56 passengers: conference shuttles, military family reunions, tour operators moving a full flight
Who Rides With Us From ANC?
Cruise and Rail Passengers
Tens of thousands of cruise guests land at ANC each summer bound for ships that sail from Whittier and Seward. Our Whittier cruise terminal car service times departures around the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, which opens to Whittier bound traffic once an hour on the half hour, and our Seward runs follow the Seward Highway along Turnagain Arm with photo stops available on request. Rail passengers connecting to the Alaska Railroad depot downtown ride with us too, with luggage loaded straight from carousel to trunk.
Business, Energy and Government Travelers
Oil and gas executives, engineers rotating through the North Slope, fisheries buyers and federal contractors all pass through Anchorage. We deliver them to the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center, the Midtown towers along C Street and the corporate offices downtown with time to spare. Personnel and families headed to Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson should note that visitors without Department of Defense credentials need a pass from the Boniface or Richardson Visitor Control Center, as explained on the JBER base access page; we drop at the gate or carry sponsored guests through once the pass is issued. Solo executives who prefer a sedan can also reserve our Anchorage Airport car service for the same flight tracked pickup.
Weddings, Reunions and Celebrations
A stretch limousine idling at the South Terminal curb turns an ordinary arrival into the first photo of the weekend. Our limo service in Alaska handles wedding parties flying in from the Lower 48, military reunions at Fort Richardson National Cemetery, Iditarod spectators arriving for the ceremonial start on Fourth Avenue and hockey parents following teams to the Alaska Airlines Center.
Lodge and Resort Transfers
Girdwood and Alyeska Resort sit about 40 miles south along the Seward Highway, a road that hugs Turnagain Arm beneath the Kenai Mountains and ranks among the most scenic drives in North America. We also reach the lodges of Talkeetna, 115 miles north toward Denali, the fishing lodges of the Kenai River near Soldotna and the ski cabins of Hatcher Pass above Palmer, with a chauffeur who knows where the pavement ends.
Destinations We Reach From Anchorage Airport
Anchorage Neighborhoods and Landmarks
Downtown is roughly six miles and fifteen minutes east via International Airport Road and Minnesota Drive. We deliver guests to the Hotel Captain Cook, the Hilton Anchorage, the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts and the Anchorage Museum at Seventh Avenue and C Street, which opens daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in summer. Midtown, Spenard, South Anchorage, the Dimond Center and the University of Alaska Anchorage campus are all inside a twenty minute radius, and the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail trailheads are minutes from the terminal.
Mat Su Valley, Eagle River and the Kenai Peninsula
Eagle River lies about 20 miles northeast on the Glenn Highway, with Wasilla and Palmer another 25 miles beyond in the Mat Su Valley. Southbound, the Seward Highway reaches Girdwood in 40 miles, Whittier through the tunnel in about 60, Seward in 125 and, via the Sterling Highway, Soldotna and Kenai in roughly 150. Homer at the end of the road is a 220 mile journey that we complete in a single comfortable leg with a stretch break in Cooper Landing.
Connecting to Other Alaska Airfields
ANC shares its control tower with Lake Hood Seaplane Base, the busiest floatplane base in the world, where summer brings hundreds of takeoffs and landings a day. The Alaska Aviation Museum on the south shore of the lake at 4721 Aircraft Drive displays over 25 vintage aircraft and sits a five minute drive from the terminal. Merrill Field east of downtown handles general aviation, and many visitors land at ANC before continuing by air taxi to a lodge or by Alaska Airlines to Fairbanks, Juneau, Kodiak or Bethel. Our Alaska airport chauffeur service also covers Fairbanks International and Kenai Municipal, so a multi stop itinerary stays with one provider.

History and Statewide Importance
The airport opened in 1951 as Anchorage International Airport and took the name of Senator Ted Stevens in 2000 to honor the longest serving Republican senator of his era. Through the 1970s and 1980s it earned the nickname Crossroads of the World as a refueling stop for passenger flights between Europe and East Asia, and that geography still matters: freighters bound across the Pacific stop here to top up fuel and swap crews. The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities owns and operates ANC through the Alaska International Airport System alongside Fairbanks International, and airport studies credit the facility with supporting roughly one in seven jobs in the greater Anchorage region. In 2025, Airports Council International ranked ANC the busiest cargo airport in North America, with about 3.9 million metric tons handled.
Airlines Operating From ANC
Alaska Airlines carries well over half of all passengers and treats Anchorage as a hub, with year round service to the Lower 48 and an in state network reaching Fairbanks, Juneau, Kodiak, Nome, Kotzebue, Bethel and Deadhorse. Delta and United fly year round, and the seasonal lineup has grown sharply: American launched Phoenix flights on May 21, 2026, Southwest began daily Denver and Las Vegas service in May 2026, and JetBlue and Sun Country return each summer. International seasonal service includes Condor from Frankfurt and WestJet from Calgary. Regional carriers such as Aleutian Airways, which started direct Kenai flights in June 2025, and Grant Aviation connect smaller communities.
Domestic Nonstop Destinations
Seattle is by far the most frequent nonstop, followed by Portland, Denver, Chicago O'Hare, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas Fort Worth, Houston, Salt Lake City, Honolulu, Sacramento and San Diego. Summer 2026 added first time Alaska Airlines nonstops to Boise, Spokane and Boston, the latter a 3,300 mile Saturday flight on a 737 MAX 9, plus Washington state links to Bellingham, Paine Field and Pasco.
Terminal Information
ANC uses two passenger terminals. The South Terminal, also called the Domestic Terminal, hosts nearly every airline and public service across Concourses A, B and C, with ticketing on Level 2 and baggage claim on Level 1. The North Terminal handles international arrivals, customs and a few seasonal carriers. A heated, covered walkway links the two buildings landside, which means you exit security to change terminals, and a free shuttle loops between the South Terminal, the North Terminal and the Rental Car Center every 15 minutes around the clock.
Passenger Traffic
ANC moves over five million passengers in a typical year, and 2026 is tracking toward a record. Anchorage and Fairbanks together handled over 3.2 million passengers in the first six months of 2026, a 7 percent increase on the same period of 2025, and July 2026 became the busiest month ever recorded at the two airports with nearly 460,000 travelers. International passenger counts at ANC grew close to 24 percent in 2025 as new Canadian and European routes took hold.
Parking Overview
Republic Parking runs the lots. The South Terminal garage gives the first 30 minutes free, charges 3 dollars for the first hour and tops out at 16 dollars for a 5 to 24 hour stay. The North Terminal short term lot caps at 13 dollars a day. The long term lot beside the South Terminal costs 13 dollars a day or 78 dollars a week with a 90 day maximum, and the Park, Ride & Fly lot on International Airport Road is the economy choice at 9 dollars daily, 40 dollars weekly or 100 dollars monthly, served by a free shuttle every 15 to 20 minutes. Lots fill during cruise season, which is one reason many Alaskans book a chauffeur for the airport leg.
Pickup and Drop Off Guidance
Departing passengers are dropped at the Level 2 ticketing curb of the South Terminal or the ground level curb of the North Terminal; curbside stops are for active loading only. Arriving passengers meet their chauffeur inside baggage claim on Level 1 and walk to the commercial vehicle lane across from door 4, the same lane used by the terminal shuttle, which the airport's ground transportation page maps in detail. The taxi queue sits across from door 3, rideshare pickups happen upstairs on Level 2 at doors 1 or 8, and at the North Terminal all commercial pickups use door 2 on the inner lane. Any limousine collecting passengers at ANC must display an airport commercial vehicle permit and hold a Municipality of Anchorage limousine permit, and ours do.
Ground Transportation Options
Beyond prebooked chauffeurs, travelers can choose Alaska Yellow Cab or Independent Taxi from the island outside baggage claim, Uber and Lyft from the departures curb, People Mover bus Route 40 to the downtown transit center about once an hour, hotel courtesy shuttles outside door 6 and nine rental car brands at the Rental Car Center reached by shuttle. The Alaska Railroad operates a seasonal platform at the South Terminal for cruise line charters, with regular departures from the downtown depot on Ship Creek.
Tips for Arriving Passengers
- Alaska Airlines bags can take 20 to 30 minutes to reach the carousel in summer, so use the time to pull on a coat before stepping outside
- Customs and immigration at the North Terminal add 30 to 60 minutes for international flights; share your flight number and we build that into the pickup window
- Cell coverage inside the garage is weak; send your chauffeur a text from baggage claim before walking out
- Winter arrivals after 10 p.m. meet fewer open services in the terminal, which makes a confirmed ride worth more
- Moose wander the airport perimeter and the Coastal Trail at dusk; let the chauffeur handle the wildlife and the driving
- If you are connecting to a Lake Hood air taxi, allow 15 minutes for the drive around the lake even though it looks close on the map
Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at ANC?
Taxi fares downtown start around 20 dollars and climb once the meter meets Minnesota Drive traffic, while rideshare prices surge whenever a wave of Seattle flights lands at once and drivers thin out after midnight. Neither option tracks your flight, and neither will carry four ski bags and a cooler to Girdwood without a second trip. A prebooked chauffeur from Union Limousine is a fixed cost, a confirmed vehicle sized for your group and a driver who has already checked the road conditions on the Seward and Glenn Highways before leaving the lot.
Our ANC Pickup Promise
Your chauffeur is on the ground 15 minutes before the scheduled landing, waits in the terminal with a name sign, loads every bag and departs when you are ready, with the first hour of flight delay wait included in the rate.
What to Have Ready for Your Chauffeur?
- Airline and flight number for every traveler, including separate inbound flights
- Final passenger count and an honest estimate of oversized luggage
- Destination address and any gate, lodge or marina access instructions
- A mobile number that will work once you land in Alaska

Reserve at least a week ahead between May and September, when cruise transfers fill the Anchorage fleet quickly. Winter bookings can usually be confirmed within 24 hours, though holiday weekends and Fur Rendezvous sell out too.
Yes. We monitor your flight number from departure to touchdown and shift the pickup automatically. A weather hold over the Chugach or a late push back in Seattle never leaves you without a driver.
Inside baggage claim on Level 1, holding a sign with your name. Once the bags arrive you walk together to the commercial vehicle lane across from door 4, where the vehicle is waiting with the engine running.
Absolutely. The run is about 60 miles and 90 minutes, and we schedule it around the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel openings so you reach the pier with time to clear ship security before boarding closes.
A Sprinter van carries up to 14 passengers with rod tubes, coolers and duffels loaded in the rear. Larger charters bound for the Kenai or Homer move in mini charter buses with underfloor luggage bays.
We operate year round. Vehicles run winter tires, carry emergency kits and are driven by chauffeurs trained for ice and low visibility. If the state closes a highway we tell you immediately and rebook or reroute.
Plan on 15 to 20 minutes for the six mile trip along International Airport Road and Minnesota Drive. Summer cruise traffic and winter road conditions can add ten minutes at peak times.
Yes. Your chauffeur waits outside customs in the North Terminal arrivals hall and loads at door 2 on the inner lane. We pad the pickup window for immigration processing on flights from Frankfurt and Calgary.
Infant, convertible and booster seats are available at no charge on request. Tell us the age and weight of each child when booking so the right seat is installed before the chauffeur leaves for the airport.
Rates for the 40 mile transfer are quoted flat in advance and depend on vehicle class and date. Request a quote with your passenger count and arrival time and you will have a firm price within the hour.
