What we offer

Fairbanks International (FAI) Airport Limo Service

Group transfers from FAI to Denali, Chena Hot Springs and North Pole run on schedule with Fairbanks International (FAI) Airport Limo Service, pairing SUVs, Sprinters and coaches with one booking desk.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Fairbanks International (FAI) Airport

Flights into Fairbanks touch down at the northern edge of the Interior, where the runway lights glow against snow for half the year and midnight sun washes the apron for the other half. Our Alaska airport limo service places a licensed chauffeur at the FAI terminal curb before your wheels touch the ground, with the engine warm, the cabin heated and your name on a sign. From the moment the jet bridge opens, the only decision left for you is which seat to take.

We built this service for travelers who refuse to gamble on a cold curb. A plane from Seattle may land on schedule while a connection from Minneapolis slips two hours; either way, your chauffeur has already adjusted. Every reservation includes live flight tracking, meet and greet inside the terminal, help with heavy winter luggage and a route planned around current road conditions on Airport Way and the Parks Highway.

Chauffeured Arrivals and Departures at Fairbanks International Airport

Fairbanks International Airport sits five miles southwest of downtown, close enough that a sedan reaches most hotels on Cushman Street or near the Chena River in under fifteen minutes when roads are clear. Our limo service in Alaska treats that short hop with the same care as a two hour transfer to Denali: confirmed pricing, a vetted chauffeur and a vehicle that has been inspected for the season.

Who Books an FAI Airport Limo?

Aurora Season Travelers and Winter Visitors

Between late August and April, Fairbanks fills with visitors hoping to watch the northern lights dance over the Chena. Many arrive on late evening flights, exhausted after two or three legs, carrying parkas, tripods and boots that take up a surprising amount of trunk space. Our SUVs and Sprinter vans swallow that gear with room to spare, and chauffeurs know the dark side roads toward Murphy Dome, Cleary Summit and Chena Hot Springs Road where the sky opens up.

Oil, Mining and University Business Travel

Engineers bound for the North Slope, mining consultants heading to Fort Knox and faculty visiting the University of Alaska Fairbanks all pass through the same eight gates. We match each itinerary with a quiet executive sedan or SUV, a chauffeur who respects a working commute and an invoice that lands cleanly on a corporate expense report. Repeat accounts receive priority scheduling during the busiest summer weeks.

Military Families Near Fort Wainwright and Eielson

Permanent change of station moves bring families into FAI with car seats, pets in carriers and a dozen bags. A Sprinter van or SUV with a patient chauffeur eases the first hour in Alaska, whether the destination is base housing at Fort Wainwright on the east side of town or Eielson Air Force Base twenty six miles down the Richardson Highway. We also run reunion pickups for deploying and returning service members.

Where We Drive From FAI?

Fairbanks, North Pole and the Borough

Our most common transfers run from the terminal to downtown Fairbanks, the hotels along Airport Way, the Pike's Landing waterfront, North Pole and the neighborhoods spread across the Fairbanks North Star Borough. The City of Fairbanks tourism information page gives a useful picture of the riverfront, Pioneer Park and downtown districts that sit within an easy ride of the airport, and our chauffeurs know the fastest approach to every one of them.

Denali, Chena Hot Springs and Beyond

Longer drives form the heart of Interior travel. We carry guests roughly two hours south on the Parks Highway to the Denali National Park entrance area at Healy and Glitter Gulch, an hour northeast to Chena Hot Springs Resort, and along the Steese and Elliott Highways toward Circle and the Dalton Highway junction at Livengood. Each of these routes is priced as a point to point transfer or as hourly service with waiting time included.

Long Distance Transfers by Appointment

For Anchorage, Talkeetna, Tok or Delta Junction, we assign a chauffeur rested for the full distance and confirm fuel, timing and rest stops with you in advance. Travelers connecting through Ted Stevens Anchorage International can also pair this page with our Anchorage airport limo service so that both ends of an intrastate trip are covered under one account.

Winter Road Readiness

Every vehicle that works FAI from October through April rolls on studded or dedicated winter tires, carries an engine block heater, emergency blankets, extra fuel margin and a satellite capable communication device for stretches where cell coverage fades. Chauffeurs complete cold weather driving refreshers each autumn.

Our Fleet for Fairbanks Airport Transfers

We size every booking to the people and the baggage on board. All capacities below reflect comfortable seating with standard luggage; winter gear and oversized items may reduce the count.

  • SUVs (up to 6 passengers): families with ski bags, photographers with tripod cases, small teams traveling to Fort Knox or Pogo Mine offices.
  • Stretch limousines (up to 20 passengers): wedding parties arriving for a Chena riverside ceremony, milestone birthdays, prom groups and celebration pickups.
  • Sprinter vans (up to 14 passengers): tour groups with luggage racks, military family relocations, university athletic staff and conference delegations.
  • Party buses (up to 30 passengers): bachelor and bachelorette weekends, Midnight Sun Festival outings, brewery tours and team celebrations.

History and Regional Importance

FAI opened in 1951 to take scheduled airline traffic away from Ladd Army Airfield, which became Fort Wainwright. Pan American had been flying into Fairbanks since 1932, and Alaska Airlines ran its main hub here through the 1950s before shifting operations to Anchorage. The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities owns and operates the field today as one half of the Alaska International Airport System, alongside Anchorage. For the Interior, FAI is the lifeline: it moves passengers to the Lower 48, carries mail and groceries to dozens of roadless villages and anchors a growing winter tourism economy.

Airlines Operating From FAI

Alaska Airlines carries the largest share of passengers, with Horizon Air flying many of the regional legs under the Alaska brand. Delta Air Lines and United Airlines add mainline jets, with United concentrating on summer. Interior carriers Wright Air Service, Everts Air Alaska and Warbelow's Air Ventures operate scheduled bush routes to villages such as Fort Yukon, Bettles, Galena and Anaktuvuk Pass. Air North runs seasonal charters to Dawson City in the Yukon.

Domestic Destinations

Year round nonstops connect Fairbanks with Anchorage and Seattle Tacoma. Seasonal service widens the map each summer with Portland on Alaska Airlines, Minneapolis St. Paul on Delta, and Chicago O'Hare and Denver on United. A federally supported push for a Dallas Fort Worth link remains under discussion. Bush carriers reach Deadhorse and Prudhoe Bay, Arctic Village, Kaktovik, Nulato and roughly two dozen other Interior and Arctic communities.

Terminal Information

A single passenger terminal, completed on October 11, 2009, replaced the original 1948 building. It holds eight gates, six of them fitted with jet bridges for mainline aircraft and two reserved for commuter carriers. Ticketing and security sit on the upper level, with baggage claim and the ground transportation curb on the lower level. Large windows face the main 11,800 foot runway, and the East Ramp across the field hosts general aviation hangars, flight schools and the float pond that serves as a water runway in summer and a ski strip in winter.

Passenger Traffic

FAI handled 1,195,288 passengers in fiscal year 2025 across 20,377 aircraft landings, and the Alaska International Airport System reported a seven percent passenger gain across Anchorage and Fairbanks in the first half of 2026, with July 2026 setting a record for the two airports combined. Summer cruise tour traffic and the winter aurora season now give the terminal two distinct peaks, so the curb is rarely quiet.

Parking Overview

Public parking fills the main lot in front of the terminal, split into short term and long term sections, with a secondary lot on University Avenue South at the East Ramp. The first thirty minutes are free in both main lot areas, short term tops out at $20 per day, long term runs $15 per day with a $90 weekly cap, and the East Ramp lot charges $5 daily. Electrical plug ins for block heaters are provided throughout, a detail spelled out on the airport's official parking and transportation page. Rates listed there took effect in April 2026 and can change, so confirm before a long stay.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

Departing guests are dropped at the upper level ticketing curb, where chauffeurs unload bags directly beside the airline doors. Arrivals meet their chauffeur inside the lower level baggage claim hall; we never ask you to wait on a frozen sidewalk. Once bags are collected, the chauffeur retrieves the vehicle from the nearby commercial staging area and pulls to the lower curb. Allow a few extra minutes in January, when windshields and door seals need a moment to clear.

Ground Transportation Options

Taxis queue outside baggage claim, rental counters line the lower level, several hotels run courtesy shuttles and the borough's Metropolitan Area Commuter System bus network operates a route through the airport area on a limited timetable. Rideshare apps function in Fairbanks, though driver supply thins late at night and in deep cold. Prebooked chauffeur service through our Fairbanks airport car service is the one option that guarantees a specific vehicle and a specific driver before you leave home.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

Keep a warm layer in your carry on, because the walk from the curb to a vehicle can feel brutal at forty below. Check the aurora forecast published by the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks before deciding whether to head straight to the hotel or straight to a viewing spot. Summer arrivals should expect bright skies at midnight and pack an eye mask. Bush flight passengers connecting to village routes should confirm baggage weight limits, which are far stricter than mainline rules.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at FAI?

A taxi line moves at the pace of the cars that happen to be present; a rideshare match depends on who is awake and willing to drive to the airport at 1 a.m. in February. A prebooked chauffeur removes both variables. Your vehicle is assigned, your rate is locked, your chauffeur knows the flight number and the cabin is already warm. Our airport chauffeur service in Alaska also handles the details a meter cannot: child seats installed in advance, multiple pickups for a group, and the patience to wait when customs or baggage runs slow.
