What we offer

John Murtha Johnstown Cambria County (JST) Airport Sprinter Van Rental

Land at JST and leave in one vehicle. Our 14 passenger Sprinter vans carry corporate teams, ski groups, and wedding parties from Johnstown Airport to the Laurel Highlands, with luggage space to spare.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van Rental at John Murtha Johnstown Cambria County (JST) Airport

Flights into Johnstown land at a compact terminal in Richland Township, and a group stepping off the United Express arrival from Washington Dulles or Chicago O'Hare usually wants one vehicle waiting for everyone. Our Pennsylvania airport Sprinter van service puts a chauffeured Sprinter at the curb outside baggage claim, ready for up to 14 passengers along with luggage, ski gear, or trade show cases. Whether the group is bound for a Laurel Highlands resort, a campus visit at Pitt Johnstown, or a plant tour in Cambria County, Union Limousine handles the ride with one confirmed booking and one professional behind the wheel.

Why Groups Pick a Sprinter Van at Johnstown Airport?

JST receives two scheduled arrivals a day, so a whole team often lands together. Splitting that team across rental cars means separate counters, separate keys, and separate directions on Route 219. A Sprinter van keeps everyone in one cabin with a high roof, forward facing captain style seating, and a rear cargo area that takes suitcases and equipment cases without a second trip.

Built for Laurel Highlands Roads

The routes out of Johnstown climb quickly. US 219 toward Somerset, US 22 toward Ebensburg and Altoona, and the ridge roads into Windber all involve grades and weather that change fast in winter. Our chauffeurs drive these corridors regularly and plan around snow, fog, and holiday traffic near the Pennsylvania Turnpike interchange at Somerset.

Who Rides With Us from JST?

  • Corporate teams visiting defense and manufacturing employers around the Johnstown Industrial Park and Richland
  • Wedding parties moving between the terminal, downtown hotels, and venues in Ligonier or Hidden Valley
  • University groups connecting to Pitt Johnstown, Saint Francis University in Loretto, and IUP in Indiana
  • Ski and golf groups headed to Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, and Sunnehanna Country Club
  • Families arriving for Thunder in the Valley, the Flood City Music Festival, or a Johnstown Tomahawks game
  • Medical travelers and visiting specialists heading to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center

Our Pennsylvania Fleet by Group Size

The Sprinter van anchors our Sprinter van service for airport groups, though we run a full fleet so a single call covers every passenger count:

  • Sedans (up to 3 passengers): executive arrivals, solo consultants, and couples who want a quiet ride to a downtown hotel
  • SUVs (up to 6 passengers): small families with car seats, hunting parties with gear, and winter trips that call for extra traction
  • Stretch limousines (up to 20 passengers): wedding parties, milestone birthdays, and prom groups across Somerset and Cambria counties
  • Sprinter vans (up to 14 passengers): corporate teams, sports squads, and tour groups who want luggage room and a walk in cabin
  • Party buses (up to 30 passengers): bachelor and bachelorette weekends, brewery tours, and concert nights at 1st Summit Arena
  • Mini charter buses (up to 35 passengers): campus visits, church retreats, and conference shuttles between the airport and Ebensburg
  • Full size charter buses (up to 56 passengers): reunion weekends, fan trips to Pittsburgh games, and multi day itineraries through the Laurel Highlands

Where a JST Sprinter Van Can Take You?

Johnstown and Cambria County

Downtown Johnstown sits about 15 minutes from the terminal. We regularly deliver groups to the Johnstown Inclined Plane, Peoples Natural Gas Park, the Cambria Iron historic district, and the hotels clustered along Route 219 near the Galleria. Ebensburg, the county seat, is roughly 30 minutes north, while Windber and its recreation park are a short hop east. Our Cambria County car service page covers point to point rides within the county for smaller parties.

Resorts, Memorials, and Neighboring Airports

Seven Springs and Hidden Valley in Somerset County are about an hour away, and the Flight 93 National Memorial near Shanksville is a frequent stop for visiting delegations. Groups sometimes fly into Johnstown and out of a larger hub, and we coordinate those splits too. A Pittsburgh International Airport Sprinter van rental fits when the return flight leaves PIT, an Arnold Palmer Regional Airport Sprinter van rental covers Latrobe and Westmoreland County itineraries, and an Altoona Blair County Airport Sprinter van rental serves Blair County trips along US 22.

Statewide Coverage from One Booking

Because our Pennsylvania Sprinter van service operates across the Commonwealth, a group can land at JST, spend two nights in Somerset, and finish the trip in Harrisburg or Philadelphia without changing vehicles or drivers. Union Limousine dispatch coordinates the full route, so one confirmation covers every leg.

How Sprinter Van Booking Works at Johnstown Airport?

Reserve

Send your flight number, passenger count, and luggage details. We confirm the vehicle, quote a flat rate, then assign a chauffeur.

Meet

Your chauffeur tracks the United Express arrival, waits inside the terminal with a name sign, and helps load bags at the curb lane just outside the doors.

Ride

The Sprinter departs once everyone is aboard. Add stops, hourly time, or a return pickup at any point.

Flight Tracking Included

JST flights connect through Dulles and O'Hare, so weather delays at either hub ripple into Johnstown. We watch the inbound leg and adjust the pickup time at no charge.

Hourly and Multi Day Options

Conference planners often keep a Sprinter on hourly hire for shuttle loops between the airport, downtown hotels, and 1st Summit Arena at the Cambria County War Memorial.

A Note on Winter Travel

From December through March we recommend building an extra 20 minutes into any run over the Allegheny Front toward Altoona or the Turnpike.

About John Murtha Johnstown Cambria County (JST) Airport

Address: 479 Airport Rd, Johnstown, PA 15904, United States. Phone: +1 814-536-0002. Official website: https://flyjst.com/

History and Regional Role

Johnstown's first airfield opened in Westmont in 1929 with a dedication crowd that included Amelia Earhart. Operations moved to the present Richland Township site in 1948, and the field later took the name of longtime Congressman John Murtha, who championed the terminal and runway improvements that keep it certified for commercial jets. Today it anchors aviation for Somerset County as well as Cambria County, hosting an Air National Guard presence, Nulton Aviation, a Civil Air Patrol squadron, and the Saint Francis University aviation programs housed in an education center beside the runway.

Airlines and Destinations

United Express, operated by SkyWest, is the only scheduled carrier. Service runs daily to Washington Dulles (IAD) and Chicago O'Hare (ORD), both United hubs, which opens connections across the country and overseas on a single ticket. Tri State Charter also flies private jet charters from the field.

Terminal, Traffic, and Parking

The single terminal opens at 4:00 AM and closes at midnight daily, with the airport authority office across from the ticket counter during business hours. Balance Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch inside the terminal seven days a week. Passenger counts are modest, measured in the low tens of thousands per year, which means short security lines and quick baggage delivery. Parking is free in a lit, monitored lot with room for over 100 vehicles, as described on the airport's passenger information page.

Pickup and Drop Off Guidance

The arrivals door and departures door share one curb. For pickups, your chauffeur meets you inside near baggage claim and walks you to the Sprinter. For departures, we drop at the curb about 60 minutes before a domestic flight, or 90 minutes if you are connecting to an international leg, which matches the airport's own recommendation.

Ground Transportation Options at JST

On site choices include Hertz rental cars, a short list of independent taxi and rideshare drivers posted by the airport, and CamTran public buses in the wider Johnstown area. None of these can seat 14 with luggage in one vehicle.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • The evening O'Hare arrival lands close to midnight, so confirm your pickup before boarding
  • Bring layers; the field sits at 2,284 feet and runs noticeably cooler than Pittsburgh
  • Cell coverage is strong at the terminal but fades on some ridge roads, so share the itinerary with the group before departure
  • The Johnstown Flood Museum downtown, run by Heritage Johnstown, is a worthwhile first stop for visiting groups with an afternoon to spare

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at JST?

Rideshare availability at Johnstown is thin and partly weekend only. The airport itself publishes a handful of individual drivers by phone number because app based coverage is unreliable, especially for the late night arrival. A prebooked Sprinter removes that gamble: the vehicle is confirmed in advance, sized to the group, and driven by a chauffeur who already knows the flight number.

About 15 minutes in normal traffic. The terminal sits in Richland Township off Route 219, and the ride to the Inclined Plane, Peoples Natural Gas Park, or a downtown hotel is roughly nine miles.

Yes. Our Sprinters run on all season or winter tires and our chauffeurs drive US 219 and the resort access roads throughout ski season. We add buffer time when snow is forecast.

We do. The O'Hare flight is scheduled to land close to midnight, and we monitor it from departure. If it runs late, your chauffeur adjusts and waits inside the terminal.

The rear cargo area holds roughly 14 standard checked bags plus carry ons. Ski bags, golf clubs, and trade show cases fit when we know about them in advance.

No. Flight tracking is included, and we adjust the pickup time to the actual arrival. Waiting time only applies after the flight has landed and bags are available.

Yes. The run to PIT takes about 90 minutes via US 22 and the Parkway West. Many groups fly into Johnstown and out of Pittsburgh, and we quote that leg as a flat rate.

Inside the terminal beside baggage claim, holding a sign with your name or company. The Sprinter is parked at the curb just outside the doors.

We do. The memorial near Shanksville is about 40 minutes from JST, and we can hold the Sprinter on site while your group visits, then continue to Somerset or return to the airport.

Yes. Hourly hire works well for loops between the airport, downtown hotels, 1st Summit Arena, and Pitt Johnstown, with a minimum block that we confirm at booking.

Yes, on request. Tell us the ages and number of children when you book and we will fit forward facing or booster seats before the chauffeur leaves for the terminal.
