What we offer

University Park (SCE) Airport Sprinter Van Rental

Land at State College Regional Airport and ride as one group. University Park (SCE) Airport Sprinter van rental seats 14 with ample room for luggage and gear for game day, weddings, and campus visits.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van Rental at University Park (SCE) Airport

Flying into State College with a team, a family reunion, or a wedding party? Our University Park (SCE) Airport Sprinter van rental places a chauffeured 14 passenger van at the curb of State College Regional Airport the moment your flight lands. We cover every arrival and departure at SCE, and our Pennsylvania Sprinter van rental coverage continues from the terminal on Fox Hill Road to Penn State, downtown State College, Bellefonte, Boalsburg, and any address across the Commonwealth.

Groups of eight to fourteen often discover that two rideshare cars from SCE cost as much as one van and split the party in the process. A single Sprinter keeps everyone together, with room for golf bags, hockey gear, trade show cases, and a week of luggage for Happy Valley. Our chauffeurs monitor inbound flights from Chicago O’Hare, Philadelphia, and Washington Dulles, so a late connection never leaves your group standing at baggage claim.

Group Ground Transportation at State College Regional Airport (SCE)

The airport known to airlines and boarding passes as SCE adopted the name State College Regional Airport in November 2023, though thousands of travelers still search for University Park Airport. Whichever name you use, our vans meet you at the same single terminal in Benner Township, about six miles north of the Penn State University Park campus. Our Pennsylvania airport Sprinter van service covers SCE on the same footing as Philadelphia International, Pittsburgh International, and Harrisburg International, and we run transfers between State College and each of those larger hubs whenever a schedule out of SCE does not fit your plans.

  • Research delegations and grant reviewers bound for Innovation Park and the Millennium Science Complex
  • Wedding guests arriving for ceremonies at The Nittany Lion Inn, Boalsburg estates, and vineyards near Bellefonte
  • Corporate teams calling on employers along Benner Pike, North Atherton Street, and the Science Park Road corridor
  • Alumni groups returning for Homecoming, Blue White Weekend, and class reunions

Sprinter Van Rental for Penn State Weekends and Central Pennsylvania Trips

Football Saturdays and Bryce Jordan Center Events

Home football weekends pour over 100,000 fans into a borough of roughly 40,000 residents, and traffic on Park Avenue and University Drive reflects that. A chauffeured Sprinter from Union Limousine lets your group tailgate, watch the game, and ride back to the hotel while a professional handles the crawl out of the stadium lots. The same applies to concerts and commencement at the Bryce Jordan Center, THON weekend in February, and the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts every July.

Corporate, Research, and Conference Groups

Penn State hosts conferences year round at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, and companies at Innovation Park fly in clients and candidates every week. We schedule vans to meet the morning United Express arrival, shuttle attendees between hotels and sessions, and return them to SCE ahead of evening departures. Flat quotes, a single invoice, and one point of contact keep expense reporting simple.

Long Distance Transfers From SCE

When the nonstop routes from SCE do not line up with your itinerary, we drive your group to the airport that does. Harrisburg International sits about 90 miles southeast via US 322, Pittsburgh International roughly 140 miles west along US 22, and Philadelphia International around 190 miles east. Our Sprinters make these runs daily, and reclining seats, USB power, and enclosed luggage bays turn the drive into productive travel time. Regional trips to Altoona, Lewistown, and Huntingdon are handled through our Centre County car service desk and neighboring Blair County car service team.

Our Pennsylvania Fleet for SCE Arrivals

Sprinter vans anchor this page, yet one call to the Union Limousine reservation desk can place any of the following vehicles at the SCE curb or anywhere in Pennsylvania.

  • Sedans, up to 3 passengers: executive arrivals, solo travelers with checked bags, quick campus meetings
  • SUVs, up to 6 passengers: coaching staff, small families, winter travel on Route 322 and I 99
  • Stretch limousines, up to 20 passengers: weddings, proms, milestone birthdays, and anniversary dinners downtown
  • Sprinter vans, up to 14 passengers: sports teams, recruiting visits, corporate groups, and wedding parties
  • Party buses, up to 30 passengers: bachelor and bachelorette outings, brewery tours, and game day celebrations
  • Mini charter buses, up to 35 passengers: conference shuttles, alumni reunions, and youth tournament travel
  • Full size charter buses, up to 56 passengers: marching bands, department retreats, and multi day tours of Central Pennsylvania

How SCE Sprinter Van Rental Works?

Our Sprinter van service is priced by the hour or by the transfer. Reserve online or by phone with your flight number, passenger count, luggage estimate, and destination. We confirm the vehicle, chauffeur name, and total price in writing before pickup, and waiting on a delayed flight never triggers a surprise surcharge. Smaller groups can book our SCE airport car service in sedans and SUVs, and our SCE airport limo service is available when the occasion calls for a stretch.

Meet and Greet at Baggage Claim

SCE has a single baggage claim area a short walk from the gates. Your chauffeur waits inside the terminal holding a sign with your group name, helps load bags, and escorts everyone to the van staged in the short term area directly outside the doors. Wheels down to wheels rolling typically takes under 20 minutes.

What to Have Ready?

Keep your chauffeur’s phone number handy, confirm the passenger count the day before travel, and tell us about car seats, oversized equipment, or accessibility needs when booking so the right van is assigned.

University Park (SCE) Airport Information

History and Regional Importance

A small airfield opened in the 1950s on land leased from Penn State just north of State College, and the Centre County Airport Authority was created to guide its growth. Scheduled airline service began in 1978 under the SCE code that still prints on tickets today. The current passenger terminal opened in 1993, the runway was lengthened to 6,701 feet in 1997, and in November 2023 the airport took the name State College Regional Airport. In February 2026 Penn State and the authority announced an agreement to transfer ownership of the airport to the Centre County Airport Authority. Corporate and private aircraft use the separate Penn State Aviation Center on the field, which provides fueling, hangar space, and a crew lounge. Address: 2493 Fox Hill Rd, State College, PA 16803. Phone: +1 814-237-2011. Official website: https://www.flysce.com/.

Airlines and Domestic Destinations

Two carriers serve SCE. American Eagle operates regional jets to Philadelphia International, with Charlotte Douglas appearing on select schedules, and United Express flies to Chicago O’Hare and Washington Dulles. Those hubs open one stop connections to the rest of the country and to international gateways. The airport reported 148,196 passenger enplanements in 2025, its strongest year since 2019 and the third highest total in its history, and a regional alliance led by the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County has launched a Fly State College Fund to recruit additional routes.

Terminal Layout and Passenger Facilities

Everything at SCE happens inside one compact terminal. Airline ticket counters, the TSA checkpoint, gates, baggage claim, and rental car desks sit within a short walk of one another, and free Wi Fi and charging points are available throughout. Because the checkpoint is small, lines build quickly before the early morning departures, so plan to arrive about 90 minutes ahead of your flight.

Parking Overview

The Centre County Airport Authority operates the paid parking lot directly in front of the terminal. On peak days around Penn State breaks and football weekends the main lot fills, and drivers are directed to an overflow lot about a mile away that is served by a shuttle. Groups who reserve a Sprinter skip the parking question entirely.

Pickup and Drop Off Guidance

Departing passengers can be dropped at the curb outside ticketing. Arriving groups should collect bags and meet their chauffeur inside the terminal; vans stage in the short term area steps from the exit. Traffic on Fox Hill Road stays light compared with the campus core, so curbside waits are brief even on busy weekends.

Ground Transportation Options

The airport’s official ground transportation page lists taxis, hotel shuttles, and rental car companies. Local taxis generally wait only when a flight is arriving, so travelers without a reservation call for a cab after landing. CATA bus service reaches the terminal on weekday trips timed to airline schedules. For groups of seven or larger with luggage, a chauffeured Sprinter is the practical choice because it carries everyone and their bags in a single vehicle.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Check flight status before leaving for the airport; connections through Chicago and Philadelphia are sensitive to weather
  • Winter arrivals should allow extra time on Route 322 and I 99 when snow is forecast
  • Book ground transportation early for football Saturdays, commencement weekend, and Arts Festival week
  • Downtown State College enforces two hour street limits and uses designated curbside drop off zones for pickups, so a chauffeur who knows the borough saves time

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at SCE?

Rideshare coverage in Centre County thins out late at night and on holidays, and surge pricing during football weekends can double fares. A prebooked Sprinter van rental locks in the price, guarantees a vehicle large enough for the whole group, and puts a professional chauffeur who tracks your flight inside the terminal before you walk out. There is no waiting on an app, no splitting the party across three cars, and no scramble when the last United Express arrival lands after 11 p.m.

The terminal at 2493 Fox Hill Road sits about six miles north of University Park. A Sprinter reaches the Bryce Jordan Center or The Penn Stater in roughly 15 minutes outside of game day traffic.

Yes. Chauffeurs track your inbound flight from Chicago, Philadelphia, or Dulles and adjust the pickup time automatically. Airline delays do not add waiting charges to the quote.

Each Sprinter seats up to 14 passengers with a separate rear luggage bay. For groups of 15 to 35 we recommend a mini charter bus, and full size coaches carry up to 56.

We do. Game day packages include hotel pickup, tailgate drop off near Beaver Stadium, and a return ride after the final whistle. Book several weeks ahead for home games against ranked opponents.

The official name changed to State College Regional Airport in November 2023, but the SCE airline code, the Fox Hill Road address, and the terminal are unchanged. We honor bookings under either name.

Transfers to Harrisburg International are quoted as a flat rate based on the date, time, and passenger count. The drive runs about two hours via US 322, and a written quote is provided before you confirm.

Yes. Both airports are regular destinations for our vans. Pittsburgh International is roughly three hours west and Philadelphia International about three and a half hours east from the SCE terminal.

Your chauffeur stands inside the terminal near baggage claim with a sign showing your group name. Once bags are collected, the van is a short walk away in the short term area outside the doors.

Every van has an enclosed rear cargo area that holds full size suitcases for 14 passengers. Hockey bags, golf clubs, and trade show cases fit as well; mention oversized items when you book.

Reserve at least three to four weeks before spring commencement, THON, or Arts Festival week. Vans sell out early for those dates because hotel and airline demand peaks at the same time.
