What we offer

Greater Binghamton (BGM) Airport Charter Bus Service

Fly into BGM and roll straight to Manhattan on a 56 passenger coach with a restroom, Wi Fi, and a driver who tracks your Delta flight. Fixed fares for teams, weddings, and corporate groups. Book soon.

Charter Bus Rental Service to and from Greater Binghamton (BGM) Airport

Landing at BGM with a full group and no plan for the road south is a mistake many New York, NY organizers make once and never repeat. Union Limousine runs a New York airport charter bus program that meets flights at Greater Binghamton Airport in Johnson City and carries wedding parties, athletic teams, corporate delegations, and campus groups straight to Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Every reservation comes with a licensed motorcoach driver, a confirmed meeting point at the terminal curb, and live flight monitoring, so a late Delta arrival changes nothing about your ride.

Why New York, NY Groups Choose Our BGM Charter Buses?

The Southern Tier to New York City run covers about 180 miles and takes a little over three hours on Route 17 and Interstate 81 before the final approach through New Jersey or the Hudson Valley. That is long enough for a group to want restrooms, reclining seats, overhead storage, and power outlets, and short enough that a single driver completes the trip without a relief change. We stage the coach outside the terminal before the flight lands, so passengers walk from baggage claim to their seats in under two minutes. Return legs from the city are timed against the single daily Delta departure, with a buffer built in for Interstate 81 construction around Binghamton.

Trip Types We Handle From Greater Binghamton Airport

  • Binghamton University, SUNY Broome, and Cornell student groups heading to New York City for weekend programs, conferences, and campus visits
  • Wedding guests flying into BGM for celebrations in Westchester, Long Island, or the five boroughs
  • Corporate teams moving between Southern Tier manufacturing sites and Manhattan headquarters
  • Youth and adult sports teams playing tournaments across the tri state region
  • Church, senior, and civic groups touring the Hudson Valley on the way to the city
  • Cruise passengers connecting a BGM arrival to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal or Cape Liberty in Bayonne

Coverage Across New York, NY and the Southern Tier

Our charter bus service in New York covers pickups anywhere in Broome County and the neighboring counties of Tioga, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, and Tompkins, plus one way and round trip transfers between BGM and every corner of New York City. Groups that split their travel between airports can pair a BGM arrival with a return through Ithaca Tompkins, Elmira Corning, or Syracuse Hancock, and we also cover Wilkes Barre Scranton across the Pennsylvania line for organizers whose flights land there.

Our Fleet for Greater Binghamton Airport Groups

Every vehicle below is available for BGM transfers, and Union Limousine matches the vehicle to head count, luggage volume, and the length of the drive. Smaller groups often ride better in a Sprinter van with a full aisle, while anything above 30 passengers belongs on a coach with underfloor bays.

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

A Cadillac CT6 sedan suits a keynote speaker, a visiting executive, or a couple traveling ahead of the main party. Two full size suitcases fit in the trunk with carry ons on the rear seat.

  • Advance team arrivals before a group coach lands
  • Executives who need a quiet ride to Manhattan

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

The Cadillac Escalade SUV carries a family or a small leadership group with room for five bags behind the third row. All wheel drive matters on Route 17 in a Southern Tier winter.

  • Families meeting relatives at BGM before a Long Island wedding
  • Board members traveling together to a Midtown meeting

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Our Escalade ESV stretch limo turns the BGM to Manhattan drive into part of the celebration, with perimeter seating, a bar console, and mood lighting. Luggage rides in a trailing SUV when the party packs heavy.

  • Bachelor and bachelorette groups flying in through Detroit
  • Milestone birthday parties bound for a Brooklyn venue

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

The luxury Sprinter van is the most requested vehicle on this route. Standing headroom, individual leather seats, USB power, and a rear luggage cage make it the right call for a team of ten with gear. We also run a dedicated Sprinter van service at BGM for groups who want the van without a coach.

  • Corporate teams of 8 to 14 with roller bags
  • Wedding parties who want to arrive together

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

A 30 passenger party bus with wraparound seating, a sound system, and a stocked bar area keeps a large celebration group entertained for the full three hour drive. Ideal when the destination is a Manhattan nightlife district or a Hamptons weekend.

  • Reunion groups arriving on the same Delta flight
  • Concert and festival crews heading to the city

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

The 36 passenger mini coach gives a mid size group forward facing reclining seats, overhead racks, a restroom, and a rear luggage bay. It also fits into venue loading zones that a full size coach cannot use.

  • School and university groups on a New York City program
  • Conference delegations with a fixed Midtown hotel block

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Our 56 passenger coach handles the largest BGM arrivals with a restroom, Wi Fi, power at every row, a PA system, and underfloor bays that swallow 56 checked bags plus carry ons. Two coaches can be staged together for groups above 56.

  • Sports teams with equipment bound for tri state tournaments
  • Tour groups combining a BGM arrival with a Hudson Valley route

Greater Binghamton (BGM) Airport Information

History and Regional Importance

Opened in 1945 as Broome County Airport, the field now operates as Greater Binghamton Airport and carries the honorary title Edwin A. Link Field after the Binghamton inventor of the flight simulator. The Broome County Department of Aviation owns and runs roughly 1,200 acres in the Town of Maine with a mailing address in the Village of Johnson City, eight miles north of downtown Binghamton. A $54 million revitalization completed in July 2025 delivered new entry canopies, a reconfigured ticketing lobby, a renovated departures lounge and baggage claim, relocated rental counters, geothermal heating and cooling, and a 6,400 square foot customs facility for international general aviation arrivals. The airport supports over $56 million a year in regional economic activity.

Airlines and Domestic Destinations

Delta is the only scheduled airline at BGM. Delta Connection, operated by Endeavor Air, flies a 76 seat CRJ 900 with first class and main cabin seating once daily to Detroit Metropolitan (DTW), where passengers connect to over 100 onward destinations with a single stop. The route was set to end on February 14, 2026, then Delta reversed course and daily flights resumed on May 7, 2026. The aircraft lands in early afternoon and departs about an hour later, so most group arrivals reach the curb between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. United withdrew in 2016, American in 2017, and Avelo ended its Orlando route in August 2024, so plan all BGM group travel around the single Delta rotation.

Terminal Layout

BGM operates one terminal. Ticketing, the TSA checkpoint, and the departures lounge sit on the main level, with baggage claim and the Avis and Budget counters on the same floor near the exit doors. The 2025 project moved the general aviation lobby inside the main building and added garden courtyards past security. Free Wi Fi runs throughout, and the Fly BGM app posts live arrival and departure times.

Passenger Traffic

The airport boards over 36,000 passengers a year, which keeps the curb calm even at peak. A coach staged for a 1:30 p.m. arrival shares the loading area with a handful of private cars at most, so your group boards without the queue you would face at JFK or LaGuardia.

Parking Overview

Both lots use a card based Flash Parking system. The short term lot in front of the terminal offers the first 15 minutes free, then $11 a day or $77 a week. The long term lot runs $8 a day or $56 a week. An attendant staffs the exit for one hour before and after each flight; outside that window the gates accept credit cards only, and a lost ticket carries a $100 fee. Confirm current rates through the parking office at +1 607 763 4456 before travel, since the airport adjusts pricing periodically.

Pickup and Drop off Guidance

The curb under the new canopy is for active loading only. Our driver meets arriving groups inside baggage claim holding a sign with the group name, then radios the coach forward from the staging area once everyone is together. Departing groups are dropped at the canopy 90 minutes before the Delta departure, which leaves time for counter check in, bag drop, and the single TSA lane.

Ground Transportation Options

Avis and Budget are the only rental counters, with Avis open weekdays from 7 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. Taxis are arranged by phone through the airport's rental cars and taxi cab referral page, no public bus stops at the terminal, and rideshare pickups can take 20 minutes or longer during off peak hours. None of these options fits a group of 15 or more with luggage, which is why organizers reserve a coach in advance.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Share your Delta flight number when booking so we can track the Detroit departure in real time
  • Collect all checked bags before the group walks to the curb; the coach cannot hold the loading zone for stragglers
  • Pack a jacket between November and March, since the walk from the canopy to the bus is outdoors
  • Nominate one group leader to text the driver on landing; the driver's number arrives with your confirmation
  • Allow 3.5 hours to Midtown on a weekday afternoon and plan a restroom break at the Route 17 rest area near Roscoe

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at BGM?

Local taxi fleets are small, and a party of 20 stepping off the CRJ 900 would need five cabs, none of which will run 180 miles to Manhattan at a fixed fare. Rideshare drivers rarely wait at a terminal with one flight a day. A prebooked coach has a confirmed price, a driver who already knows the group name, and a schedule that moves with the flight, so the group leaves together the moment the last bag arrives.

Local Stops Worth Adding to a BGM Charter Itinerary

Groups with time before the drive south often build in a stop. The Kopernik Observatory and Science Center sits on a 1,740 foot hilltop at 698 Underwood Road in Vestal, opens to the public every Friday evening, and offers weekday tours by appointment, which works well for STEM student groups. The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park at 60 Morgan Road opens daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., dates to 1875 as the fifth oldest zoo in the country, and offers a group admission rate for parties of ten or more. Both sites have bus accessible parking, and our drivers know the approach roads.

How to Book Your BGM Charter Bus?

Send us the flight number, passenger count, luggage estimate, and New York City drop address, and Union Limousine returns a fixed quote the same day. Every fare includes the driver, fuel, tolls, and gratuity, with no surcharge for a delayed arrival. Groups who need a smaller vehicle for an advance party can add a car service at BGM or a limo service at BGM to the same reservation, and our full list of services covers hourly charters, multi day tours, and shuttle loops once the group is in the city.

Reserve Your Greater Binghamton Airport Coach Before Your Flight

Delta sells one rotation a day into BGM, which means every group on that flight is competing for the same afternoon vehicles. Lock in your charter bus service now and Union Limousine will confirm the coach, the driver, and the meeting point in writing within hours. Call, text, or complete the online quote form, and a dispatcher will walk through the timing with you before the group ever boards in Detroit.

We stage the coach 30 minutes before the scheduled Delta landing and adjust that time automatically when the flight tracker shows a delay, so the bus is never late and never billing idle hours.

Yes. The drive is about 180 miles, well within a single driver's legal hours, and the onboard restroom means no mandatory stop. Most groups still ask for one 15 minute break near Roscoe.

Every mini coach and full size coach carries a restroom, Wi Fi, and power outlets. Sprinter vans and party buses include Wi Fi and USB charging but no restroom.

Nothing changes for you. The dispatcher watches the Detroit departure and the inbound flight, moves the coach accordingly, and there is no waiting fee for airline delays.

Airport transfers to New York City are priced as a flat one way or round trip fare with no hourly minimum. Local hourly charters around Binghamton carry a three hour minimum.

Coaches stage in the commercial vehicle area beside the terminal and pull under the canopy only when the group is assembled, because the curb permits active loading only.

Yes. Many organizers put the main party on a coach and send an advance team or a VIP group in a Sprinter or SUV. Both vehicles appear on one confirmation and one invoice.

The underfloor bays hold one full size checked bag per seat plus carry ons in the overhead racks. Sports equipment and instrument cases are welcome with advance notice.

We do. Return legs are timed against the single afternoon Delta departure, and we build in a buffer for Interstate 81 roadwork so the group reaches check in 90 minutes early.

Yes. Multi day itineraries through the Hudson Valley, the Catskills, or New York City keep the same coach and driver, with overnight driver lodging included in the quote.
