What we offer

Phoenix Goodyear (GYR) Airport Limo Service

Groups flying into Goodyear can ride together in a Sprinter van, party bus or 56 seat coach. Our Phoenix Goodyear (GYR) Airport limo service covers Luke AFB, Glendale and all of the West Valley daily.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Phoenix Goodyear (GYR) Airport

Phoenix Goodyear Airport sits on the far west side of the Valley, where Litchfield Road meets a cluster of corporate hangars, airline pilot academies and wide body maintenance bays that keep the field active around the clock. Our Phoenix Goodyear (GYR) Airport limo service meets private jets, charter arrivals and training center visitors with a chauffeur who already knows which hangar door you will walk through. As part of our Arizona airport limo service, every GYR booking includes tail number tracking, a licensed chauffeur and a vehicle sized to your party, from two executives heading to a Goodyear logistics campus to forty guests arriving for a wedding at a Litchfield Park resort.

Goodyear has grown from a quiet farming town into a city of over 111,000 residents, and the airport has grown right alongside it. Lux Air Jet Centers handles business jets and government aircraft on the ramp, United Aviate Academy trains hundreds of future airline pilots every year, and AerSale keeps airliners as large as the Boeing 777 cycling through its hangars. Each of those operations brings travelers who need ground transportation they can count on, and We built this page to explain exactly how our GYR limo service works for every one of them.

Why Book a Limo at Phoenix Goodyear Airport?

GYR is a general aviation field, so there is no taxi stand, no rideshare queue and no shuttle counter waiting outside the terminal. Passengers stepping off a Gulfstream at Lux Air or wrapping up a visit to the pilot academy need a car that is already positioned on Litchfield Road when they walk out the door. Union Limousine arranges precisely that, with a chauffeur who checks your tail number before wheels down, parks within sight of the FBO lobby and loads your luggage while you sign out at the front desk.

  • Chauffeur meets you inside the FBO lobby, at your hangar or at the terminal entrance, whichever you name on the booking
  • Live tracking for private, charter and training flights so a delayed departure from California or Colorado never leaves you waiting
  • Flat quotes to Sky Harbor, downtown Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and every West Valley suburb, confirmed in writing before pickup
  • Vehicles from three passenger sedans to 56 passenger coaches, all based in the Phoenix area and dispatched from a single office
  • 24 hour dispatch for red eye repositioning flights, early flight school check ins and late ramp arrivals

Who We Serve at GYR?

The passengers moving through Phoenix Goodyear Airport fall into a few distinct groups, and We have built service plans around each of them.

Corporate Flight Departments and FBO Guests

Lux Air Jet Centers hosts a steady flow of business jets, air ambulance operators and government aircraft, and many of those passengers continue on to meetings in Goodyear, Avondale and Phoenix. Union Limousine positions a black sedan or SUV beside the FBO before your aircraft blocks in, so the handoff from cabin to car takes under two minutes.

Pilot Academy Students, Instructors and Visiting Families

United Aviate Academy can train up to 500 airline pilots a year on this field, and Lufthansa plus the German Air Force train here under a sublease. Students arrive with months of luggage, families fly in for graduations, and instructors shuttle between the academy and Sky Harbor at odd hours. A pre booked SUV or Sprinter van turns those trips into a fixed cost with a known arrival time.

Spring Training, Sports and Event Travelers

Goodyear Ballpark is only a few minutes from the runway, and GYR sees a jump in jet traffic every February and March when the Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds open camp. We run stretch limousines and party buses for groups who fly in for a long weekend of Cactus League games, Phoenix Raceway weekends in Avondale or an Arizona Cardinals home game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

Luke Air Force Base and Defense Contractors

Luke Air Force Base in Glendale sits a short drive north of GYR, and military contractors routinely route private aircraft into Goodyear because the field accepts larger jets and keeps 24 hour ramp access. Our chauffeurs understand base gate procedures and can hold at the visitor reception center while you clear access.

Phoenix Goodyear Airport (GYR) at a Glance

Phoenix Goodyear Airport (airport code GYR) is located at 1658 S Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ 85338, United States, about 2.2 miles south of Interstate 10 on Litchfield Road and roughly 25 miles west of Phoenix Sky Harbor. The airport is owned and operated by the City of Phoenix Aviation Department and can be reached at +1 855 442 0994, with current notices published on the official Phoenix Goodyear Airport website. GYR covers 789 acres at an elevation of 969 feet and operates one of the longest general aviation runways in the state, a fact that shapes everything about the traffic it attracts.

History and Importance of the Airport

The field began life in 1941 when Goodyear Aerospace offered land to the federal Defense Plant Corporation during World War Two. The Navy opened Naval Air Facility Litchfield Park on the site, later upgraded it to a full naval air station, and from 1945 to 1965 used the dry desert air to store and preserve surplus aircraft, with over 5,000 planes parked on the ramps at one point. The Korean conflict briefly returned the base to active duty before the Navy consolidated its storage operations in Tucson and declared the 800 acre property surplus. The City of Phoenix bought the airport in July 1968 to serve as a general aviation reliever for Sky Harbor, a role it still fills today. A master plan followed in 1986, the current terminal opened in 2000, the plan was refreshed in 2018, and United Aviate Academy opened its training campus in 2021 with its first graduating class in January 2023. Over $24 million in capital projects landed on the field in the eight years leading up to 2023, and the airport projected over $175 million in further public and private investment across the following five years, including a $10 million Boeing 767 parking apron.

Airlines and Operators at GYR

No scheduled passenger airline serves Phoenix Goodyear Airport. The aircraft on the ramp belong to corporate flight departments, charter operators, air medical companies, flight schools and the airlines that send jets to AerSale for heavy maintenance, storage and disassembly. Visitors regularly spot Boeing 737s, 747s and Airbus widebodies parked along Litchfield Road, but those aircraft are not boarding passengers. The five commercial tenants on the field are Lux Air Jet Centers (the fixed base operator), United Aviate Academy, AerSale, Fly Goodyear Flight School and Galaxy International, which inspects and repairs aircraft parts. Anyone arriving on a private or charter flight should book ground transportation in advance, because none of these tenants runs a public shuttle.

Domestic Destinations

Because GYR traffic is private and charter based, its destination map changes daily. Business jets most often connect Goodyear with Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego, Denver, Dallas, Salt Lake City and the Bay Area, while training aircraft from the academies fly cross country legs to Tucson, Prescott, Flagstaff, Yuma and airports across New Mexico and Southern California. Airline ferry flights bring aircraft in from hubs nationwide for maintenance, and medical flights link the West Valley hospitals with specialty centers in other states. Our chauffeurs track each of those movements by tail number, so the car is ready regardless of where the flight originated.

Terminal Information

The main terminal is a 5,500 square foot building completed in 2000, and it functions as an administrative and passenger lobby for the general aviation ramp. Most private passengers pass through Lux Air Jet Centers, a 66,000 square foot complex with 18,000 square feet of office space, three 12,500 square foot hangars and a 10,000 square foot FBO building that offers pilot lounges, crew cars and conference space. Goodyear Tower operates from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the field reverting to a common traffic frequency overnight. Runway 3/21 measures 8,500 feet by 150 feet, long enough for a Boeing 747, and is supported by a GPS approach, a lighted helipad and 24 hour access.

Passenger Traffic

GYR measures its activity in aircraft movements, and the numbers are substantial for a single runway field. The airport logged 157,277 operations in 2025, including 60,628 air carrier training and ferry movements, 96,282 general aviation flights and 367 military operations. That total followed an unusually busy 2024 of 212,081 movements and a 2022 count of 164,484. In mid 2023 the airport reported that it ranked as the 11th busiest general aviation airport in the country and the busiest single runway airport anywhere, with 294 based aircraft, 147 hangars and 22 covered tie downs on the field. For travelers, that volume means ramp activity at nearly every hour and a steady need for scheduled pickups that match real arrival times.

Parking Overview

Parking at Phoenix Goodyear Airport is surface only. The terminal and FBO each keep an open lot for passengers, crews and visitors, with no garage, no shuttle and no overnight pricing tiers. Spaces fill quickly on spring training weekends and during academy graduation ceremonies, and the lots sit in full sun, which matters when afternoon temperatures pass 110 degrees from June through September. A chauffeured pickup removes the parking question entirely, since your vehicle waits in the pickup lane with the air conditioning already running.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

Private aviation pickups work differently from airline terminals, so We confirm your exact meeting point on every reservation.

Arrivals at GYR

Your chauffeur monitors the tail number and arrives at the FBO about 15 minutes before the scheduled block time. For Lux Air arrivals, the chauffeur waits in the lobby holding a name sign and escorts you to the vehicle parked in the front lot. For hangar based operators, the car waits at the hangar's street side gate.

Where We Meet You at GYR

Passengers can choose any of three meeting points when they book, and the chauffeur confirms the choice by text the morning of travel.

Lux Air Jet Centers Lobby

The default meeting point for business jets, charter flights and air ambulance transfers, open 24 hours for line service with front desk staff from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Main Terminal Entrance

The best choice for academy visitors, airport business meetings and anyone arriving by small aircraft on the public ramp.

Tenant Hangar Gate

Used for AerSale crews, Galaxy International technicians and corporate flight departments with their own hangar space along the north ramp.

Departures from GYR

For outbound flights, the chauffeur drops you at the FBO door of your choice and carries bags to the lobby. Because there is no TSA checkpoint for general aviation departures, most passengers arrive 20 to 30 minutes before wheels up, and We schedule the drive from Phoenix, Scottsdale or the East Valley with that window in mind.

Ground Transportation Options

Public transit does not reach the airfield. Valley Metro buses serve parts of Goodyear and Avondale, but the nearest stops are a long walk from the ramp along a road with no shade. Rental cars can be arranged through the FBO with advance notice, taxis must be called from Phoenix and typically quote a 30 to 45 minute wait, and rideshare availability on the far west side thins out after dark. A pre booked chauffeur is the only option that guarantees a vehicle on the property at the exact moment you need it.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Send your tail number, operator name and FBO to the booking desk so the chauffeur can track the flight directly
  • Carry a photo ID and your confirmation number, since FBO staff may ask who is collecting you before releasing baggage
  • Summer monsoon storms arrive between late June and September and can ground flights for an hour, as the University of Arizona monsoon guide explains, so build buffer time into evening arrivals
  • Keep a bottle of water in your carry on, because the walk from the ramp to the lot takes place in direct sun for most of the year
  • Tell the chauffeur if you need to stop at the Goodyear Ballpark box office, a hotel in Litchfield Park or an industrial park on the way into the city

Pre Booked Chauffeur Service Compared With Taxis and Rideshare

Taxis and rideshare apps were built around airline terminals with dense, predictable passenger flows. Phoenix Goodyear Airport has none of that. Drivers on those platforms rarely stage in Goodyear, so a request from the FBO at 10 p.m. can go unanswered or arrive with surge pricing attached. A pre booked chauffeur eliminates the uncertainty: the price is fixed before you fly, the vehicle is on the property before you land, the chauffeur knows which lobby to enter, and the car has room for the luggage a corporate team or a flight student actually carries. For groups, the difference grows, because no rideshare option seats 14, 30 or 56 people in a single vehicle with one driver and one bill.

Our Fleet for Phoenix Goodyear Airport Transfers

Every Union Limousine vehicle below is licensed for commercial airport transfers in Arizona, inspected on a fixed schedule and driven by a chauffeur who completes a background check and local route training.

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

Black executive sedans suit solo business travelers, couples and small crews moving between GYR and downtown Phoenix, the Biltmore corridor or Scottsdale. Leather seating, bottled water and a quiet cabin make them the standard choice for FBO pickups.

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Full size SUVs carry up to six passengers with room for academy luggage, golf bags or sample cases. They are the most requested vehicle for pilot academy families, hospital executives visiting the West Valley and corporate teams heading to a Goodyear industrial site.

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Stretch limousines seat anywhere from eight to twenty guests and are booked for wedding parties arriving at GYR, milestone birthdays, prom groups in Goodyear and Litchfield Park, and sports fans heading to a spring training game in style.

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

Executive Sprinter vans hold up to 14 passengers with standing room, individual seating and a luggage bay. Corporate flight departments favor them for site visits, and academy instructors use them to move a full class between campus housing and Sky Harbor.

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Party buses seat up to 30 guests with perimeter seating, lighting and sound systems. They are the natural fit for Cactus League group outings, bachelor and bachelorette weekends and Phoenix Raceway race days when the group lands at GYR together.

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mini charter buses carry up to 35 passengers with forward facing seats, overhead storage and climate control. They handle conference groups flying in by charter jet, church and school trips, and defense contractor teams moving between Goodyear and Luke Air Force Base.

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Full size motorcoaches seat up to 56 passengers with restrooms, reclining seats and underfloor luggage bays. We deploy them for airline crew movements tied to AerSale maintenance visits, large sports tours and corporate retreats arriving at GYR on a single charter aircraft.

Serving Goodyear and the West Valley from GYR

The airport sits inside the City of Goodyear, one of the fastest growing communities in the United States, with a population that climbed from around 18,000 in 2000 to over 111,000 today. Our chauffeurs cover every neighborhood around the field, including Estrella, PebbleCreek, Palm Valley and Verrado, plus the surrounding cities of Litchfield Park, Avondale, Buckeye, Tolleson, Glendale and Surprise. Interstate 10, Loop 303 and the extended Loop 202 give direct routes into Phoenix, Tempe and Chandler, and the same limo service in Arizona that covers the West Valley reaches Tucson, Flagstaff, Prescott and Sedona on request.

Venues and Destinations Near GYR

Spring training is the busiest season on the west side, and Goodyear Ballpark sits about 2.5 miles south of Interstate 10 at 1933 S Ballpark Way, within ten minutes of the FBO. Phoenix Raceway in Avondale draws NASCAR crowds twice a year, State Farm Stadium and Desert Diamond Arena anchor the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, and the Wigwam resort in Litchfield Park hosts conferences, weddings and golf outings all winter. Families often ask for a stop at Wildlife World Zoo or Estrella Mountain Regional Park, while corporate guests head to the logistics parks along Loop 303. Our airport chauffeur service covers each of those venues with the same pickup standard We apply at the airport itself.

Other Airports We Connect With

Many GYR passengers split a trip between the private ramp and a commercial flight, and our Sky Harbor limo service handles the 25 mile connection to Terminal 3 or Terminal 4 with a chauffeur who knows the curb assignments. We also run transfers to Glendale Municipal Airport, Buckeye Municipal Airport, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, Scottsdale Airport and Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport for crews repositioning aircraft or travelers meeting a second flight across the Valley.

Your chauffeur waits inside the Lux Air Jet Centers lobby by default, holding a name sign. You can also choose the main terminal entrance or a tenant hangar gate when booking, and the meeting point is confirmed by text on the day of travel.

No taxi stand or rideshare zone exists on the property. Drivers must be called in from Phoenix, which often means a long wait or surge pricing, so most private aviation passengers reserve a chauffeur before they fly.

GYR sits roughly 25 miles west of Phoenix Sky Harbor along Interstate 10. The drive takes 30 to 40 minutes outside rush hour and closer to an hour during weekday peaks, and our chauffeurs plan the route around live traffic.

Yes. Send the tail number or charter operator with your booking and the dispatch desk tracks the aircraft directly, adjusting the pickup time automatically if the flight departs late or lands early.

Absolutely. Stretch limousines, party buses and charter buses are booked heavily every February and March for Guardians and Reds games, with pickup at the FBO and drop off at the ballpark entrance.

Group arrivals can choose Sprinter vans for up to 14, party buses for up to 30, mini coaches for up to 35 or full size motorcoaches for up to 56 passengers, all with luggage space and a single chauffeur.

Most general aviation passengers arrive 20 to 30 minutes before their scheduled departure since there is no security checkpoint. We recommend reserving at least 24 hours ahead, and earlier for spring training and holiday weekends.

Yes. We regularly transport contractors and visiting personnel between the airport and the base in Glendale, and chauffeurs can hold at the visitor reception center while passengers complete access screening.

Every quote is confirmed in writing before pickup and includes the vehicle, chauffeur and standard wait time. There is no surge pricing, and the rate does not change if your flight runs late.

Certainly. Add any stop to the reservation, from a hotel check in at the Wigwam to a hospital, an office park along Loop 303 or a restaurant in Avondale, and the chauffeur builds it into the itinerary.
