What we offer

Athens-Ben Epps (AHN) Airport Limo Service

Football weekends, commencement, and weddings run smoother with a stretch limo or Sprinter van at the field. Book Athens-Ben Epps (AHN) Airport Limo Service for groups of 2 to 56 all over Georgia, GA.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Athens-Ben Epps (AHN) Airport

Private flights into Athens deserve a chauffeur standing on the ramp side of the terminal before the cabin door opens. Union Limousine runs a dedicated Athens-Ben Epps (AHN) Airport Limo Service from 1010 Ben Epps Drive, matching every tail number with a licensed chauffeur, a tracked arrival time, and a spotless late model vehicle. The program belongs to our wider Georgia airport limo service, which means the same booking desk, the same vetted drivers, and the same fixed quote apply to arrivals in Athens, Augusta, or Savannah.

Executive teams visiting the University of Georgia, families flying in for commencement, recruits and boosters on a Friday night charter, and wedding parties bound for a venue outside Watkinsville all pass through this small, efficient airfield. We built our AHN program around that mix. Sedans for one or two passengers, Sprinter vans for a delegation, and full coaches for an entire athletic staff are available on the same page, with pricing confirmed before you board your flight.

Why Georgia, GA Travelers Book Our AHN Limo Service?

Athens has no scheduled airline, so nearly everyone landing here arrives on a private, corporate, or charter aircraft with a tight itinerary. Our service is shaped for that traveler.

  • Flight tracking by tail number, so a chauffeur adjusts to early arrivals and holding delays without a phone call from you.
  • Ramp side or curbside meeting at the Athens Ben Epps Flight Center, with a name board and help with luggage.
  • Flat, written quotes for Athens, Oconee County, Lake Oconee, and the Atlanta metro, with tolls and gratuity shown up front.
  • Chauffeurs who know Loop 10, GA 316, and gameday closures around campus, and who plan routes before you land.
  • Vehicles from a 3 passenger sedan to a 56 passenger coach, all dispatched from one reservation.
  • Live support around the clock for schedule changes, added stops, and return leg confirmations.

Chauffeured Rides From AHN Across Northeast Georgia

The airport sits three miles east of downtown on 425 acres, which puts the Classic City, the UGA campus, and the Athens Perimeter within a short drive of the ramp. Our Georgia limo service extends that reach to Gainesville, Lake Oconee, Madison, Jefferson, Monroe, and the Atlanta suburbs along GA 316, and a dedicated Clarke County car service covers local errands, campus visits, and hotel transfers once you are in town.

Downtown Athens, UGA, and The Classic Center

Conference delegates and touring acts arrive at AHN and head straight for The Classic Center on North Thomas Street, home to the convention halls, the theatre, and Akins Ford Arena. Our chauffeurs drop at the Thomas Street entrance for the convention center and at the East Broad Street entrance for arena events, following the Classic Center parking and arrival guidance so your group steps out at the right door. From there, the Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Hotel, the Georgia Museum of Art, the State Botanical Garden, and the restaurants of College Avenue are all minutes away.

Gameday Transfers to Sanford Stadium

Fall Saturdays bring boosters, alumni groups, and corporate hosts into AHN on everything from a King Air to a Gulfstream. A stretch limousine or party bus from the ramp to the campus perimeter keeps the group together, and your chauffeur manages the closures on Sanford Drive and Lumpkin Street that trip up visitors who try to self drive. Review the Sanford Stadium policies and gameday procedures for bag rules and gate information, then let us handle the tailgate drop, the post game pickup, and the ride back to the FBO before your departure slot.

Connections to Hartsfield Jackson and Other Georgia Airports

Many Athens trips begin or end with a commercial flight out of Atlanta, about 70 miles southwest on GA 316 and Interstate 85. We run that leg daily, and our Atlanta airport limo service schedules the departure around TSA wait times at the Domestic Terminal. Corporate flight departments also use AHN alongside Peachtree DeKalb (PDK), Gwinnett County Briscoe Field (LZU), Lee Gilmer Memorial in Gainesville (GVL), Barrow County (WDR), and Jackson County (JCA), and one chauffeur can position a vehicle at whichever field your aircraft is cleared into.

Our Fleet for Athens-Ben Epps Airport Transfers

Every vehicle below is detailed before dispatch, carries commercial insurance, and is driven by a chauffeur who completed a background screening and road test with us.

Sedans, Up to 3 Passengers

Executive sedans suit a single traveler or a couple arriving for a campus interview, a donor meeting, or a quiet weekend in the historic districts. Leather seating, bottled water, and a trunk that holds two large cases plus carry ons come standard.

SUVs, Up to 6 Passengers

Full size SUVs carry a family with luggage, a recruiting group, or a small leadership team heading to the Georgia Center or Lake Oconee. The raised seating and generous cargo bay make them the usual pick for golf trips and multi day stays.

Stretch Limousines, Up to 20 Passengers

Stretch limousines turn a Sanford Stadium weekend, a wedding at a Watkinsville farm venue, or a milestone birthday in downtown Athens into an occasion from the moment you leave the ramp. Fiber optic lighting, a premium sound system, and privacy glass are included.

Sprinter Vans, Up to 14 Passengers

Sprinter vans move a board delegation, a film crew, or a visiting faculty group with room to stand, work, and store equipment. Executive configurations add captain chairs, charging ports, and a rear luggage area for a full day of site visits across Clarke and Oconee counties.

Party Buses, Up to 30 Passengers

Party buses handle bachelor and bachelorette weekends, brewery tours on the West Side, and large tailgate groups. Perimeter seating, a bar area, and a dance floor keep the celebration moving between AHN, the hotels, and the venues.

Mini Charter Buses, Up to 35 Passengers

Mini coaches serve athletic teams, student organizations, and conference breakout groups who need undercarriage luggage storage and reclining seats for a longer run to Augusta, Macon, or the North Georgia mountains.

Full Size Charter Buses, Up to 56 Passengers

Full size motorcoaches carry a marching band, a corporate retreat, or a church group arriving on a chartered jet, with restroom, climate control, Wi Fi, and overhead bins for an entire day on the road.

Athens-Ben Epps (AHN) Airport Information

The details below help you plan a smooth arrival at one of the busiest general aviation fields in northeast Georgia.

Airport Details

  • Airport name: Athens-Ben Epps (AHN) Airport
  • Airport code: AHN (ICAO KAHN)
  • Address: 1010 Ben Epps Dr, Athens, GA 30605, United States
  • Phone: +1 706 613 3420
  • Official website: accgov.com/airport
  • Owner and operator: Athens Clarke County Unified Government, overseen by the Airport Authority

History and Importance

The field carries the name of Ben Epps, the mechanic who built and flew the first aircraft in Georgia in 1907 and later opened the airfield that became today's airport in 1917. Over the past century it grew into a county owned, FAA towered facility with two asphalt runways, Runway 9/27 at 6,122 feet and Runway 2/20 at 3,995 feet, serving light jets, midsize jets, turboprops, and a growing share of large cabin business aircraft. A 2020 Georgia Department of Transportation study credits the airport with a measurable share of the local economy, and the Airport Authority runs it as an enterprise fund that pays its own way without drawing on the county general fund. State and federal grants totaling over 20 million dollars in the past seven years funded the Runway 2/20 overlay, new lighting, and obstruction clearing.

Airline Service and Destinations

AHN has had no scheduled airline since 2014, when the federal subsidy that supported the route ended and the last carrier withdrew. Earlier eras saw twice daily flights to Charlotte, then short lived commuter links to Atlanta, Macon, and Nashville. In 2024 the Airport Authority opened talks with five carriers operating 70 to 120 seat aircraft about restoring commercial service, and local leaders have made that return a stated priority. Until a schedule is announced, every passenger arriving here flies on a private, corporate, fractional, or charter aircraft, and domestic destinations are set by the operator, with Teterboro, Westchester, Palm Beach, Nashville, Dallas, and Chicago among the common city pairs we see on the ramp.

Terminal Information

The county operated Athens Ben Epps Flight Center is the passenger terminal and primary FBO, with a lounge, crew facilities, fueling for Jet A and 100LL, and ramp services. AirStar Flight Support operates a second hangar complex with maintenance and inspection capability, and Firefly Aviation provides rentals and flight training. The control tower operates from 8 AM to 8 PM local time. There is no security checkpoint, no gate area, and no baggage carousel, so passengers walk directly from the aircraft to the lobby or to a vehicle staged by the FBO.

Passenger Traffic and Activity

With no airline enplanements reported, activity is measured in aircraft movements and hangar demand. All 77 hangars on the field are leased with a waiting list, flight training keeps the pattern busy during tower hours, and airport staff have told county commissioners that the field now handles larger private aircraft carrying more passengers per flight. University athletic charters, military rotations, and corporate traffic tied to the Atlanta region make up the bulk of the arrivals.

Parking Overview

Public parking is a surface lot in front of the Flight Center, free of charge, with no deck or long term lot. Spaces fill on football weekends and during major campus events, and the Airport Authority has listed a new parking lot as a strategic priority because interested airlines named parking capacity as a condition of service. Leaving a car on the lot for a week is a gamble during peak season, which is one reason so many travelers book a chauffeur for both ends of the trip.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

Ben Epps Drive runs off Lexington Road on the east side of the city and ends at the Flight Center entrance. Chauffeurs wait in the designated area beside the terminal or, with FBO approval and a passenger request, drive onto the ramp for a planeside transfer. For departures, we recommend arriving 20 to 30 minutes before the operator's requested show time, which leaves room to load bags and brief with the crew without rushing.

Ground Transportation Options

Rental cars are available by advance arrangement through the FBO, Athens Transit runs a free city bus network with about 20 routes that does not stop at the airfield, and rideshare drivers are thin on the east side at night. The Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau transportation guide lists shuttles to Hartsfield Jackson and local limousine operators for travelers comparing options. A prearranged chauffeur is the only choice that guarantees a vehicle at the curb at the exact minute your flight blocks in.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Send your tail number and operator name when you book so our dispatcher can follow the flight on arrival.
  • Ask the FBO to pass your chauffeur's name to the line crew if you want a planeside meet.
  • On home game Saturdays, add 30 minutes to any drive that crosses campus or the Perimeter.
  • Cell coverage is strong at the field, and the Flight Center lobby has Wi Fi if you need to work during a weather hold.
  • Jet A and 100LL are available, and the tower closes at 8 PM, so late arrivals operate on the common traffic frequency.

Why Travelers Prebook a Chauffeur at AHN?

Taxis rarely stage at a general aviation field, and rideshare availability east of Loop 10 drops sharply after dark and during campus events. A prearranged chauffeur tracks your aircraft, waits through delays at no extra cost, loads luggage, and already knows the route to your hotel, the Georgia Center, or a venue in Oconee County. The fare is fixed before wheels up, there is no surge pricing on gameday, and the same vehicle returns for your departure leg.

How Booking Works?

Reserve online or by phone with Union Limousine, share your aircraft details and passenger count, and receive a written confirmation with the vehicle, the chauffeur's contact, and the total price. Clients who prefer an executive sedan without the limousine styling can book our AHN airport car service through the same desk, and travelers planning events elsewhere in the state can review the full limo service catalog for Savannah, Augusta, Columbus, Macon, and Albany arrivals.

What We Confirm Before Your Flight Lands?

Our dispatch team checks three items on every AHN reservation the evening before travel.

Flight Tracking and Timing

We log the tail number, confirm the filed arrival time with the operator where possible, and schedule the chauffeur to be on site 15 minutes ahead of the estimate.

Meet and Greet Instructions

You choose a lobby meet with a name board, a curbside meet beside the terminal, or a planeside transfer coordinated with the FBO, and we note any accessibility needs, child seats, or extra stops.

Reserve Your Athens Airport Limousine Before You File

Our Georgia reservation desk is open every hour of the year, and a confirmed booking takes a few minutes. Sedans and SUVs can often be arranged the same day. Stretch limousines and coaches for football or commencement weekends should be booked two to four weeks ahead.
