What we offer

Hays Regional (HYS) Airport Limo Service

A United Express flight out of Hays runs on a tight clock. Your chauffeur arrives at the terminal on time, loads your bags, and drives you across Ellis County or down Interstate 70 on a firm schedule.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Hays Regional (HYS) Airport

Hays Regional Airport is the front door to northwest Kansas, and Union Limousine meets it with chauffeured rides that start on time and finish at the right address. Our Hays Regional (HYS) Airport Limo Service covers departures, arrivals and group transfers across Ellis County and the Interstate 70 corridor. If you have booked a Kansas airport limo service before, you know the value of a driver who already holds your flight details and your destination. We bring that same routine to HYS.

United Express runs the daily schedule from this compact terminal, and the Denver connection places Hays travelers within reach of cities around the world. A reserved ride takes the guesswork out of both ends of that trip. Your driver follows the flight, waits at the terminal and takes you directly to Fort Hays State University, a hotel on Vine Street, a farm gate or a medical campus.

Why Travelers Choose Our HYS Airport Chauffeurs?

Hays sits in the middle of a long stretch of Interstate 70, so a missed connection or a no show ride costs real time. We built our HYS service around the problems local travelers describe most often. For a simple one passenger transfer, see our Hays airport car service page.

  • Pickups that follow your flight: We watch your arrival so an early or late touchdown never leaves you standing at the curb.
  • Clear pricing: We quote your fare before you ride, so rural miles and late hours never bring surprises.
  • Professional drivers: Licensed chauffeurs who know Hays streets, U.S. 183 and the Interstate 70 exits.
  • Room for every party: Sedans for one executive, buses for an entire team.
  • Curbside help: Drivers load luggage, golf bags, hunting cases and sports gear.
  • Reliable in every season: We plan routes around harvest traffic, football weekends and winter weather.

History and Importance

Air service at Hays dates to 1929, when the first scheduled flight touched down on a gravel strip laid out on pasture belonging to the Fort Hays Experimental Station. A 4,000 foot grass strip followed in 1937, paved surfaces arrived in the 1960s and a VORTAC navigation aid was installed in 1969. The current terminal opened in 1988, Runway 16/34 was expanded in 2001 and crosswind Runway 4/22 was added in 2003.

The airport matters because Hays serves as the medical, cultural, educational and industrial center of northwest Kansas. Students, patients, business travelers and visiting families all rely on a short drive to a commercial gate.

Airlines and Domestic Destinations

SkyWest flies as United Express from HYS, with nonstop service to Denver International Airport (DEN), roughly 297 miles away by air. From Denver, United connects to destinations across the country and overseas. Call United at +1 800 864 8331 to book, and confirm current flight times on the airport website because schedules change.

Terminal Information

HYS has one compact terminal with ticketing, a small waiting area and free wireless internet. United Express asks passengers to arrive at least one hour before departure, and bags must be checked at least 45 minutes ahead. Lines are short, so most travelers move from curb to gate quickly.

Passenger Traffic

Local reporting projected a record 33,869 enplanements for 2025, an increase of 18 percent over 2024. Growth picked up after an early morning Denver departure and a late evening return were added in April 2024.

Parking Overview

Parking at HYS is free. Short term spaces are in the main terminal lot and long term parking is in the east lot. Airport staff ask travelers who plan to leave a vehicle for over two weeks to notify them, and local reports describe plans to grow the lot from 98 to 161 spaces. Rental cars are available through Hertz at the airport and Enterprise at an office on East 13th Street, as listed on the airport's ground transportation page.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

Departing Passengers

Give us your flight time and we set a pickup that gets you to the terminal well ahead of the one hour guideline. Your driver stops at the terminal entrance, unloads your bags and waits until you are inside.

Arriving Passengers

Your chauffeur meets you at the terminal after you arrive and helps with luggage. Share your flight number in advance so we can follow the arrival and adjust the pickup.

Late Evening Returns

The Denver return reaches Hays late in the evening, after most local services have wound down. A reserved driver is already waiting when that flight touches down.

Ground Transportation Options

  • Personal vehicle: Free parking makes driving yourself a practical choice for short trips.
  • Rental cars: Hertz operates at the airport and Enterprise operates from a nearby office.
  • Family or friends: A pickup works well when someone is free at your arrival time.
  • Prebooked chauffeur: A fixed pickup with a professional driver, a clean vehicle and a confirmed fare.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Check your United flight status before you leave Denver so your driver has the latest arrival time.
  • Send us your bag count and any special gear when you book, so we send a vehicle with enough room.
  • Dress for western Kansas weather, since wind and temperature can change quickly between the terminal door and the car.
  • Carry a photo ID for departures and keep your phone charged for pickup updates.
  • If you are heading to Fort Hays State University or a hospital, give the exact building name so the driver can plan the best entrance.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at HYS?

The airport's ground transportation page lists rental cars and refers other questions to the airport office. It does not list taxi or shuttle service. That leaves arriving passengers with uncertainty at the end of a long travel day, especially on the late evening flight. Union Limousine removes that uncertainty by confirming your driver, vehicle and fare before you leave home. Our limo service team also stays reachable by phone if your plans change.

  • A confirmed driver at the terminal, with no waiting for an available car.
  • A fare agreed in advance, so a late hour or a rural address changes nothing.
  • Room for luggage, equipment and every member of your party.
  • One booking that covers the ride out and the ride back.

Local Areas and Venues We Serve Around Hays

Our drivers know the places Hays travelers ask about most. Fort Hays State University is the largest destination, with campus visits, move in days and Tigers events filling hotels around Vine Street. The Sternberg Museum of Natural History draws families for fossils and Cretaceous sea creature exhibits, and Fort Hays State Historic Site keeps frontier history alive near the buffalo herd on Highway 183 Alternate. Downtown Hays and its brick streets host dinners, theater nights and festivals, including the Wild West Festival on the Fourth of July weekend. For ideas on what to see, browse the city's Hays visitor guide to attractions.

Beyond the city, we drive guests to Victoria, Ellis, Russell, WaKeeney, Hoisington, Great Bend and Colby. Longer transfers connect Hays with Salina Regional, Wichita Eisenhower National, Kansas City International and Denver International, so a missed flight or a change of plans has a backup. Our Kansas limo service covers riders across Kansas, KS, and each trip begins with a quote that lists every stop.

Group Travel From HYS: Vans and Buses

Groups often arrive on the same Denver connection, which makes one shared vehicle the smart choice. A Sprinter van rental in Kansas keeps a department or wedding party together, and a charter bus rental in Kansas moves entire teams, tour groups and church congregations between the airport, hotels and venues. We coordinate staggered arrivals so no guest waits alone at the terminal.
