What we offer

Elko Regional (EKO) Airport Limo Service

Groups bound for the Cowboy Poetry Gathering or a Carlin Trend mine board Sprinter vans and charter buses at EKO with one chauffeur, one invoice, and one Elko Regional (EKO) Airport Limo Service crew.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Elko Regional (EKO) Airport

Flights into Elko Regional (EKO) Airport touch down early in the morning and late at night, and northeastern Nevada rewards travelers who have a chauffeur waiting the moment they walk out of the terminal. Our Elko Regional (EKO) Airport Limo Service covers every arrival and departure at J.C. Harris Field with sedans, SUVs, stretch limousines, Sprinter vans, party buses, and charter buses. As part of our Nevada airport limo service network, we meet Delta Connection passengers at the terminal door, follow the Salt Lake City flight in real time, and carry them to Elko, Spring Creek, Carlin, Wells, West Wendover, the Ruby Mountains, and mine sites along the Carlin Trend.

Union Limousine has coordinated chauffeured ground transportation since 1997, and that experience shapes how we handle a small airport with a single carrier and a tight flight schedule. Every EKO booking is confirmed in writing, assigned to a licensed chauffeur, and backed by live dispatch, so a late connection through SLC or a snow squall over Adobe Summit never leaves you standing at the curb.

Why Travelers Choose Our EKO Airport Limo Service?

Elko is a working town built around gold production, ranching, and a growing outdoor tourism market. Visitors arrive for mine inspections, board meetings, hunting season, the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, and weddings at Lamoille Canyon, and each of those trips needs a vehicle that matches the purpose. Here is what sets Union Limousine apart at EKO:

  • Flight tracking for every Delta Connection arrival from Salt Lake City, with pickup times adjusted automatically when the schedule slips
  • Meet and greet inside the terminal, with luggage help at the single baggage carousel
  • Fixed, all inclusive pricing quoted before you ride, with no surge rates during the Cowboy Poetry Gathering, the Silver State Stampede, or mine shift changes
  • Chauffeurs who know Interstate 80, Lamoille Highway, Mountain City Highway, and the ranch roads toward Jiggs and Lee
  • Winter ready vehicles with all wheel drive options for icy mornings when the terminal opens at 4 a.m.
  • Availability around the clock, including the late evening SLC arrival and the first departure of the day

Elko Regional Airport Limo Service Options Across Nevada

Our chauffeured vehicles handle short hops into town and long runs across the Great Basin. Each service below is priced as a flat rate, confirmed before dispatch, and staffed by a chauffeur who has driven the route before.

Airport Transfers Between EKO and Your Hotel

The terminal sits about one mile west of downtown Elko, so most hotel and casino transfers take under ten minutes. Our Elko car service delivers guests to properties along Idaho Street, the Elko Convention Center district, and the newer hotels near Mountain City Highway, with luggage carried to the lobby and a return pickup scheduled before the chauffeur leaves.

Corporate and Mining Travel

Nevada Gold Mines, contractors, and equipment suppliers move people through EKO every week. We run sedans and SUVs for executives heading to Carlin, Goldstrike, and the Cortez district, and Sprinter vans for crew rotations that need to reach a site gate before a shift briefing. Corporate accounts receive consolidated monthly invoicing and a single dispatch contact.

Weddings, Events, and Group Travel

Lamoille Canyon, the Ruby Mountains, and ranch venues outside Spring Creek draw wedding parties who fly in through Salt Lake City. Our stretch limousines and party buses carry bridal parties and guests between the airport, the ceremony, and the reception, while our broader limo service in Nevada handles multi day itineraries for reunions, conferences, and hunting groups who want one vehicle for the whole trip.

Long Distance Rides to Salt Lake City, Reno, and Boise

When the Delta schedule does not line up, a chauffeured drive to Salt Lake City International (about 230 miles east on Interstate 80), Reno Tahoe International (roughly 290 miles west), or Boise Airport solves the problem. Our Nevada chauffeur service quotes those runs as a flat fare, includes fuel and tolls, and lets passengers work, sleep, or make calls along the way.

Our Fleet for Elko Regional Airport Transfers

Union Limousine maintains a fleet that scales from a single traveler to a full charter group. Every vehicle is cleaned between rides, inspected before dispatch, and driven by a chauffeur who holds the proper commercial credentials.

Vehicle Capacities and Best Uses

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

Executive sedans suit solo business travelers, couples, and anyone arriving on the late flight who wants a quiet ride to a hotel. Leather seating, climate control, and a trunk that holds two large suitcases and two carry ons.

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Full size SUVs carry families, small mining teams, and hunters with rifle cases and coolers. All wheel drive makes them the right choice for winter arrivals and for ranch roads south of Spring Creek.

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Stretch limousines serve wedding parties, milestone birthdays, and casino nights along Idaho Street. Wraparound seating, mood lighting, and a privacy divider turn the ride from EKO into part of the celebration.

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

Sprinter vans are the workhorse of EKO group travel. High roof cabins, individual seats, and generous luggage space fit crew rotations, conference delegations, and extended families bound for Lamoille Canyon or Wild Horse Reservoir.

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Party buses bring the group together on the road with perimeter seating, sound systems, and room to move. They are a favorite for bachelor and bachelorette weekends, rodeo nights during the Silver State Stampede, and brewery tours.

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mini charter buses carry sports teams, church groups, and corporate retreats with forward facing seats, overhead storage, and underfloor luggage bays. They handle the climb to Lamoille Canyon and the long run to West Wendover without strain.

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Full size motorcoaches move conference attendees, tour groups, and large mining crews between EKO, the Elko Convention Center, and sites across Elko County. Restrooms, reclining seats, and WiFi make the drive comfortable even on a four hour transfer to Salt Lake City.

Elko Regional (EKO) Airport Information

Elko Regional Airport is the commercial gateway for northeastern Nevada and one of the oldest continuously operating airfields in the United States. The details below help travelers plan an arrival or departure at J.C. Harris Field.

  • Airport Name: Elko Regional Airport (J.C. Harris Field)
  • Airport Code: EKO (ICAO: KEKO)
  • Address: 975 Terminal Way, Elko, NV 89801, United States
  • Phone: +1 775 777 7190
  • flyelkonevada.com
  • Terminal Hours: 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily

Brief History and Importance of the Airport

Aviation in Elko began in March 1919, when the U.S. Post Office asked the mayor to carve a landing field out of the old Southern Pacific stockyards. That same ground still serves as the airport today. A beacon placed on Beacon Hill in 1924 guided night pilots on the first transcontinental air route, and on April 6, 1926, Varney Airlines flew the first contract airmail flight into Elko from Pasco, Washington. Varney later grew into United Airlines. The field carried the names Keddie Field and Elko Municipal Airport before becoming Elko Regional Airport, and it honors former sheriff J.C. Harris, remembered locally as the Flying Sheriff. The City of Elko owns and operates the airport as an enterprise fund, and it holds a Part 139 commercial service certificate. The property covers about 700 acres with two asphalt runways: 6/24 at 7,454 by 150 feet and 12/30 at 3,015 by 60 feet. Roughly 65 to 70 aircraft are based here, and the field supports air ambulance flights, wildland firefighting aircraft, corporate jets, and general aviation alongside airline service.

Airlines Operating from EKO

SkyWest Airlines is the only scheduled carrier at Elko Regional Airport, flying as Delta Connection. SkyWest first served Elko in 1982 and has flown under the Delta banner since 1987. The airport typically sees a daily overnight rotation to Salt Lake City plus a midday flight on selected days, which works out to roughly 50 scheduled departures a month on regional jets. Travelers book through Delta and check in at the Delta counter inside the terminal.

Domestic Destinations

Salt Lake City International (SLC) is the single nonstop destination from EKO. The flight covers about 198 miles and takes just over an hour. From the Delta hub in Salt Lake City, passengers connect to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Atlanta, New York, and international gateways. There is no scheduled service from Elko to Reno or Las Vegas, which is why many regional travelers pair a flight with a chauffeured drive.

Terminal Information

EKO operates one passenger terminal, opened in 2000, with a single security checkpoint, one baggage carousel, the Kingdom Cafe restaurant, free WiFi, and TSA PreCheck enrollment on site. The building opens at 4:00 a.m. and closes at 11:00 p.m., and the airport asks passengers to arrive 90 minutes to two hours before departure. A terminal area improvement program is scheduled to refresh sidewalks, the baggage carousel, HVAC, lighting, and signage as part of about $53 million in capital projects planned through 2037.

Passenger Traffic

Elko Regional is classified as a nonhub primary airport. Recent FAA counts put annual boardings in the range of 16,000 to 18,000 passengers, with gold mining, ranching, government, and tourism travel making up most of the demand. Traffic peaks during the last week of January for the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, during summer outdoor season, and around mine shutdowns when contractors cycle in and out.

Parking Overview

A single surface lot sits directly in front of the terminal. According to the airport parking page, the first two hours are free and daily parking costs $10, with parking waived for guests dining at the restaurant. There is no garage, no long term shuttle lot, and no reservation system, so the lot can fill during the Cowboy Poetry Gathering week. A prebooked chauffeur removes that concern entirely.

Pickup and Drop Off Guidance

Arrivals

Delta Connection passengers deplane through the single gate area and walk a short distance to the baggage carousel. Our chauffeur waits inside the terminal with a name sign, helps with luggage, and walks guests to a vehicle staged in the short term lot a few steps from the doors. Because the terminal is small, the entire process from gate to vehicle usually takes under ten minutes.

Departures

For departures, we schedule the drop off so passengers arrive at the curb at least 90 minutes before the flight, or two hours during peak weeks. The chauffeur unloads bags at the terminal entrance and, for corporate accounts, can wait in the lot if a return pickup is needed later the same day.

Ground Transportation Options

Avis and Enterprise operate rental counters inside the terminal, and Enterprise also rents trucks for ranch and mining visitors. Several hotels send courtesy shuttles on request, and Elko Public Transportation runs weekday service between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. by phone or text reservation. Taxis and Uber are available but can be scarce after the evening flight. For a guaranteed vehicle at any hour, our EKO airport car service is confirmed before the plane leaves Salt Lake City.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

Before You Land

Elko sits at about 5,000 feet of elevation, and the terminal can feel cold on arrival even in spring. Download your Delta boarding pass before departure, because cellular coverage over the Ruby Mountains is spotty during descent. Share your flight number with our dispatch team when you book so the chauffeur receives live updates.

Winter Travel Into Elko

From November through March, snow and ice are common on Terminal Way, Interstate 80, and Lamoille Highway. Request an SUV or Sprinter van with all wheel drive, allow extra time for the drive to Spring Creek or Carlin, and let us know if you are carrying skis, snowmobile gear, or hunting equipment so the right vehicle is dispatched.

Quick Arrival Checklist

  • Flight number shared with dispatch at the time of booking
  • Chauffeur contact details saved to your phone
  • Luggage count confirmed so the correct vehicle is staged
  • Hotel or site address verified, including gate instructions for mine properties

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare?

Elko has a limited taxi fleet, and rideshare availability drops sharply after dark and during winter storms. A prebooked chauffeur is assigned to your flight hours in advance, tracks delays, and waits inside the terminal. Pricing is fixed, the vehicle is matched to your group and luggage, and the same driver can handle a return trip or a site visit later in the week. Our limo service standards also cover driver screening, commercial insurance, and vehicle inspection, which app based rides cannot guarantee in a rural market.

Local Areas, Venues, and Nearby Airports We Serve

From EKO, our chauffeurs serve the City of Elko, Spring Creek, Carlin, Wells, Lamoille, Jiggs, Osino, West Wendover, and the surrounding ranch country of Elko County. Popular destinations include the Elko Convention Center, the Northeastern Nevada Museum, the California Trail Interpretive Center, Great Basin College, and the casinos and steakhouses along Idaho Street. Outdoor travelers head to Lamoille Canyon in the Ruby Mountains, South Fork State Recreation Area, Wild Horse Reservoir, and the Jarbidge Wilderness. The Elko Convention and Visitors Authority keeps a current list of things to do in Elko for guests planning a longer stay.

Each January, the Western Folklife Center hosts the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, which fills every hotel in town and makes advance transportation booking a necessity. Summer brings the National Basque Festival and the Silver State Stampede rodeo. For travelers combining airports, we also serve Salt Lake City International, Reno Tahoe International, Harry Reid International in Las Vegas, Boise Airport, Winnemucca Municipal, and Ely Airport with chauffeured transfers.

We schedule departures so you reach the terminal at least 90 minutes before your Delta Connection flight, and two hours during the Cowboy Poetry Gathering or holiday weeks. The chauffeur confirms the pickup time the evening before.

Yes. Our dispatch team monitors every inbound SLC flight in real time. If the aircraft is delayed or arrives early, the chauffeur adjusts automatically and there is no extra charge for the wait.

The chauffeur waits inside the terminal near the baggage carousel with a name sign. After collecting your bags, you walk a few steps to the vehicle staged in the short term lot outside the main doors.

We regularly carry crews and executives to Carlin, Goldstrike, Cortez, and other Elko County mine properties in SUVs and Sprinter vans. Provide gate instructions and site contact details when booking, and we handle the rest.

Yes. Rides to Spring Creek, Lamoille, and the Ruby Mountain foothills are quoted as flat fares that include fuel, tolls, and gratuity options. The rate is confirmed in writing before the chauffeur is dispatched.

We do. Chauffeured transfers to Salt Lake City International, Reno Tahoe International, and Boise Airport are available in sedans, SUVs, Sprinter vans, and coaches, with a single flat price for the full drive.

Our SUVs and Sprinter vans with all wheel drive are the standard choice for winter arrivals. Chauffeurs carry chains where required and allow extra time on Lamoille Highway and Interstate 80 during storms.

A Sprinter van seats up to 14 passengers with room for luggage, coolers, and outdoor gear, which makes it ideal for wedding parties and hiking groups bound for Lamoille Canyon. Larger groups can book a mini charter bus.

Reserve as early as possible, since hotels and vehicles fill quickly during the last week of January. Share your flight details and venue schedule, and we assign a dedicated chauffeur for the week if needed.

Nothing changes on your end. Dispatch sees the delay, the chauffeur adjusts the arrival time, and your vehicle is still waiting when you land. There are no penalties for airline delays or cancellations.
