Brainerd Lakes Regional (BRD) Airport Limo Service
Golf groups, wedding parties and resort guests all pick our Brainerd Lakes Regional (BRD) Airport Limo Service for free terminal pickup, live flight tracking and vehicles sized for 3 to 56 passengers.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Brainerd Lakes Regional (BRD) Airport
Your Delta Connection jet touches down on Runway 5/23, the cabin door opens, and within minutes you are settled into a black sedan with the heat running and the chauffeur already pointed toward Highway 210. That is how Union Limousine handles every arrival at Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport. Our Minnesota airport limo service covers BRD along with every commercial airport in the state, and the Brainerd team specializes in resort runs to Gull Lake, Pelican Lake, Whitefish Chain and the Cuyuna Lakes.
The Brainerd Lakes Area pulls in golfers, anglers, wedding guests and corporate retreats all year, and most of them need to move between the terminal and a lodge that sits 15 to 40 minutes away on county roads. We handle that distance with licensed chauffeurs, late model vehicles and a dispatcher who watches your flight from the moment it leaves Minneapolis.
Why Book a Chauffeur at BRD?
BRD is a small terminal with a single baggage carousel, which means taxis and rideshare drivers are thin on the ground when a full CRJ unloads at once. A prebooked chauffeur removes the guessing. Your driver is parked in the free lot steps from the doors before the aircraft is on the ground, and your name is on a sign inside the terminal.
- Flight tracking on every Delta arrival and departure, with pickup times adjusted automatically
- Complimentary 60 minute wait on domestic arrivals, so a late bag never costs you extra
- Child seats, ski racks and extra luggage space arranged at booking
- Flat quoted pricing to Nisswa, Pequot Lakes, Crosslake, Breezy Point and Crosby
- Chauffeurs who know the back way around Baxter when Highway 371 backs up on a Friday
Resort and Lodge Transfers
Grand View Lodge, Cragun's, Madden's on Gull Lake and Breezy Point Resort all sit north of the airport on roads that twist around water. Union Limousine drivers run these routes weekly and know which lodge entrance to use for check in. Guests who want a limo service in Minnesota that also covers Duluth, Rochester and the Twin Cities can keep the same account for every trip in the state.
Corporate Travel and Camp Ripley
Executives flying in for meetings at Essentia Health St. Joseph's Medical Center, Central Lakes College or the Crow Wing County Courthouse get a quiet cabin, phone chargers and an invoice that lands in their inbox before they reach the lobby. Military and contractor groups headed to Camp Ripley near Little Falls ride together in a Sprinter van with room for duffels and gear.

Every vehicle is detailed between trips, inspected on a fixed schedule and driven by a chauffeur who has passed background and road checks. Pick the size that fits your party and your luggage.

History and Importance
Aviation in the Lakes Area dates to the 1920s, when Henry Rosko kept the region's first airfield. The City of Brainerd purchased roughly 900 acres east of town in 1945, Crow Wing County joined as a partner, and an Airport Commission was formed in 1947 after a push by Walter Wieland. North Central Airlines opened scheduled service in 1948 with a single daily round trip on a ten seat Lockheed 10A. The field took the name Walter Wieland Field in 1965 and later became Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport. The airline terminal arrived in the 1980s, was expanded in the 1990s, and reopened in 2012 after a remodel that added the jet bridge still in use today. The site now covers about 1,475 acres with two main runways, the longer of which stretches past 7,000 feet.
BRD matters because it is the only commercial airport within a reasonable drive of the Brainerd Lakes resorts. Flying here saves the three hour haul from the Twin Cities and the parking fees that come with it, which is why the Federal Aviation Administration lists it as a primary commercial service airport.
Airlines Operating from BRD
Delta Connection, operated by SkyWest on Bombardier CRJ regional jets, flies the only scheduled passenger route. Sun Country runs seasonal charter departures to Laughlin, Nevada tied to resort packages. Bemidji Aviation, FedEx Feeder and UPS handle cargo and contract flying, and NorthPoint Aviation serves private jets as the full service FBO.
Domestic Destinations
Every scheduled flight goes nonstop to Minneapolis Saint Paul International, a 114 mile hop of about one hour. From the MSP hub, Delta's network puts one stop service within reach of roughly 89 destinations, with Chicago, Denver, Phoenix, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle and Orlando among the busiest connections for Brainerd passengers. Delta also credits an extra 200 plus frequent flier miles on each segment that starts or ends at BRD.
Terminal Information
BRD runs a single level terminal with one jet bridge, a TSA checkpoint, free Wi Fi and Wings Airport Cafe, which serves breakfast through dinner and is open to the public. Ticket counters close 45 minutes before domestic departures, and passengers without checked bags are asked to check in at least 30 minutes ahead. Alamo, Enterprise and National keep rental counters on site.
Quick fact: the walk from the parking lot to the ticket counter takes about 30 seconds.
Passenger Traffic
FAA records show 22,233 boardings in 2018, a figure that broke a record standing since 1985, and the airport topped 20,000 enplanements the year before. Bureau of Transportation Statistics data for the twelve months ending August 2024 counted about 15,000 passengers on the Minneapolis route. August 2022 set the airport's best August on record, a sign of how strongly resort travel rebounded.
Parking Overview
Parking at BRD is free for both short and long term stays, with the well lit lot located just outside the terminal doors and no charge for vehicles parked under 45 days. The Fly BRD page on the airport site keeps current notes on lot capacity and any construction detours on Airport Road.
Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance
Departing passengers are dropped at the curb directly in front of the terminal entrance, where a chauffeur can unload luggage and golf bags in under a minute. For arrivals, your driver waits inside near the baggage carousel holding a name board, then walks you to the vehicle in the adjacent lot. There is no cell phone lot and no need for one, since the free lot absorbs waiting vehicles without a queue.
Ground Transportation Options
Choices beyond a private chauffeur are limited. The three rental car brands at the terminal cover self drive. Brainerd and Crow Wing Public Transit runs a dial a ride service on weekdays from 6 am to 6 pm across Brainerd, Baxter, Crosby and Pequot Lakes, though every trip must be scheduled through dispatch in advance and the buses do not keep a fixed stop at the airport. A local taxi company and a shared shuttle serve the resorts on request.
Tips for Arriving Passengers
- Book ground transportation before you fly; on holiday weekends the rental counters sell out
- Allow extra time on Highway 210 and Highway 371 during summer construction season
- Winter arrivals should expect sub zero wind chills between the door and the lot; our chauffeurs preheat the cabin
- Check the Delta app for inbound aircraft status, since the MSP turn sets the BRD departure
- Cell coverage drops around Gull Lake, so share your lodge address with your chauffeur at booking
Winter Travel Note
Crow Wing County plows state and county highways aggressively, but resort driveways and township roads near Crosslake and Emily can stay slick for hours after a storm. Our drivers run winter tires from November through April and check the Crow Wing County travel information page for closures before each run.
Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at BRD?
Rideshare supply around Brainerd is sparse at best, and a single taxi operator cannot absorb 70 passengers walking off a CRJ at the same moment. A Union Limousine reservation through our Minnesota airport chauffeur service locks a vehicle, a driver and a price to your flight number. You get a child seat if you asked for one, a Sprinter if you are eight people with coolers, and a driver who already knows that the gate code at your Whitefish Chain rental was texted to him that morning. Nobody stands in the cold refreshing an app.
Serving the Whole Brainerd Lakes Area
From the terminal we cover Brainerd and Baxter in under 15 minutes, Nisswa and Gull Lake in about 25, Pequot Lakes and Breezy Point in 35, and Crosslake or Crosby in roughly 40. Little Falls, Aitkin and Mille Lacs Lake each sit within an hour. Groups booking a tournament at Cragun's Legacy Courses or a company outing at Brainerd International Raceway can pair airport pickups with a Minnesota charter bus service that handles the daily shuttling once everyone has landed. The Explore Brainerd Lakes trip planner from the Brainerd Lakes Chamber is a useful starting point for choosing a lodge, and our dispatch can quote any address on it.
Nearby Airports We Also Cover
Travelers who find a better fare into St. Cloud Regional (STC), 90 miles south, or Minneapolis Saint Paul International (MSP), about 130 miles away, can still reach the lakes with us. We also run transfers between Bemidji Regional (BJI) and Range Regional in Hibbing (HIB) for guests moving across northern Minnesota. One limo service account covers every airport in the state.

We drop you at the terminal 75 minutes before a Delta departure. The ticket counter closes 45 minutes out, and the single TSA lane rarely takes longer than ten minutes, so 75 minutes leaves room for a coffee at Wings Airport Cafe.
Yes. Our dispatcher tracks the inbound CRJ from Minneapolis, and the chauffeur is inside the terminal with a name board before bags reach the carousel. Groups of up to 56 can be met with a single coach.
Pricing is a flat quote based on vehicle size, and the Nisswa run takes about 25 minutes. Ask for the quote when you book and it will not change because of traffic or weather.
Our SUVs carry up to six passengers with four full golf bags in the rear. For a larger foursome plus spouses, a Sprinter van with a rear luggage rack keeps every set of clubs out of the cabin.
No, and none is needed. Parking at BRD is free and the lot sits directly outside the terminal doors, so your chauffeur simply waits in a space and walks in when the aircraft is on the ground.
Yes. A 20 passenger stretch limousine can be positioned at the curb for a bridal party arriving on the same flight, with champagne glasses chilled and a route planned to lodges on Gull Lake or the Whitefish Chain.
Every reservation is tied to a flight number. If the Minneapolis departure slips, your pickup time slides with it at no extra charge, and the first 60 minutes of waiting after landing is complimentary.
The drive to Breezy Point runs about 28 miles up Highway 371 and County Road 11 and takes roughly 35 minutes in a sedan. Winter conditions can add ten minutes.
Yes. Mini coaches seating 35 and full size motorcoaches seating 56 run scheduled loops between the terminal and Cragun's, Madden's or Grand View for multi day events.
Rear facing, forward facing and booster seats are installed on request at no charge. Tell us the ages at booking and the chauffeur will have the seats fitted before the aircraft lands.
