Stretch Limo Service to and from Rochester International (RST) Airport

Flights into Rochester, Minnesota tend to carry people with somewhere important to be: a Mayo Clinic appointment the next morning, a board meeting downtown, a family reunion in Winona, or a wedding at a Zumbrota barn venue. Our Rochester International (RST) Airport limo service is built for that kind of arrival. A chauffeur meets you inside the terminal, your bags go straight into the vehicle, and you ride to any address in the state in a clean, climate controlled car. Union Limousine runs this Minnesota airport limo service with the same standards we hold at the largest hubs in the country, scaled to a five gate airport where everything happens within a few hundred feet.

RST sits about ten miles south of downtown Rochester off Highway 63, which puts it within easy reach of the whole southeastern corner of the state and a comfortable ninety minute drive from the Twin Cities. We cover every mile of it. Book a single sedan for one passenger, a Sprinter for a visiting medical team, or a full size coach for a conference group, and we will have the right vehicle waiting when your flight touches down.

Why Travelers Across Minnesota Choose Our RST Limo Service?

Flight Tracked Arrivals at a Five Gate Terminal

RST is one of the simplest airports in the Midwest to walk through. Baggage claim is steps from the gates and the ground transportation desk is right in the lobby, so a late connection in Chicago or Minneapolis is the only thing that can really throw off a pickup. Our dispatch team watches every inbound American and Delta flight and adjusts your chauffeur's arrival to the actual wheels down time. You will never pay for waiting caused by the airline, and you will never walk out to an empty curb.

Built Around Mayo Clinic Schedules

Rochester receives over a million health care visitors a year, and a large share of our RST bookings are patients, caregivers and visiting physicians. Mayo Clinic's own getting here guide lists RST as the closest airport to the campus, about ten miles from the city center. We know the hotel skyway entrances, the Gonda Building drop off, the Saint Marys campus loop and the unhurried pace that many patients need after a long travel day. Chauffeurs assist with luggage and mobility equipment without being asked twice, and we can schedule a return to RST that lines up with your final appointment.

Statewide Coverage From Rochester

Our limo service in Minnesota does not stop at the Olmsted County line. Union Limousine guests flying into RST regularly ride with us to Red Wing, Winona, Austin, Albert Lea, Owatonna, Mankato, Faribault and Northfield, and we run frequent transfers between Rochester and the Minneapolis Saint Paul metro for travelers who prefer the short security lines at RST. One booking, one chauffeur, one all inclusive price quoted before you confirm.

Rochester International (RST) Airport Information

Airport Details at a Glance

  • Airport name: Rochester International Airport
  • IATA code: RST
  • Address: 7600 Helgerson Dr SW, Rochester, MN 55902, United States
  • Phone: +1 507 282 2328
  • Official website: flyrst.com
  • Ownership: City of Rochester, operated by the Rochester Airport Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mayo Clinic

Brief History and Importance

Few airports owe their existence so directly to a hospital. Drs. William and Charles Mayo founded Rochester's first airfield in 1928 so that patients could reach the clinic by air, and the Rochester Airport Company was formed the following year as a Mayo Foundation subsidiary. Northwest Airlines made Rochester one of its earliest destinations, paved runways arrived in 1940, and the field was transferred to the City of Rochester in 1945 so it could qualify for federal grants. The airport moved to its present site eight miles south of downtown in 1960 and took the name Rochester International Airport in 1995 after a U.S. Customs facility opened. Today it covers roughly 2,400 acres, hosts daily FedEx cargo flights carrying tens of thousands of medical specimens to Mayo Clinic Laboratories, and ranks among the busiest air ambulance bases in the country. The Rochester Airport Company still operates it on the city's behalf.

Airlines Operating From RST

Two carriers currently provide scheduled passenger service: American Airlines, flying as American Eagle, and Delta Air Lines, flying as Delta Connection. Ticket counters open early, with American staffed from about 5:30 am and Delta from about 5:00 am, and both close in the late afternoon once the day's final departures have boarded. United Airlines has announced a return to RST with three daily year round flights to Chicago O'Hare on a CRJ 550 regional jet. That launch is now set for fall 2027 after federal limits on O'Hare schedules pushed the date back twice.

Domestic Destinations

RST's nonstop map is compact and well chosen. American flies to Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and Delta flies to Minneapolis Saint Paul (MSP). Both are major hubs, so one connection puts Rochester travelers within reach of hundreds of cities across the United States and overseas. The ORD route covers about 268 miles and the MSP hop takes well under an hour in the air, which means even a tight connection usually works. Many of our clients fly into RST specifically to avoid the long walks and parking shuffle at a larger airport.

Terminal Information

RST operates a single main terminal with five gates on one level for arrivals and departures. Ticketing, the TSA checkpoint, baggage claim, rental car counters, the ground transportation desk and a staffed Mayo Clinic help desk all sit within the same compact lobby. Amenities include free WiFi on the RST FREE network, quiet rooms with a bed or recliner and a private restroom for medical travelers and nursing parents, a small library of free books, Skycap curbside assistance and dining. Since a 2018 remodel, U.S. Customs has processed international general aviation arrivals from inside the main terminal.

Passenger Traffic

The airport recorded 212,449 total passengers in 2025, a 6 percent increase over 2024, and monthly boardings in early 2026 continued to run ahead of the prior year. The all time record of 366,542 passengers was set in 2018, when three airlines served the field, and airport leadership has made rebuilding toward that level its top commercial priority. For passengers, today's volume means short security lines, uncrowded gate areas and a curb that rarely backs up.

Parking Overview

Parking at RST is a single surface lot a short walk from the terminal doors, with no shuttle required. According to the airport's parking and transportation page, the first hour is free, hourly charges apply after that, and the posted daily maximum is $12 with a weekly rate of $72. You can pay by card at the entry gate or take a ticket and settle up near baggage claim with cash or card on your return. A free cell phone lot sits to the right of the parking entrance, and main lot improvements are scheduled as part of the airport's 2026 construction program, so expect some reconfiguration this year.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

The curb runs directly in front of the main terminal under a covered canopy. Drivers may stop briefly to load or unload but may not leave a vehicle unattended, and the airport does cite cars left at the curb. Rideshare pickups use a signed section of the same curb near the ticketing doors. When you ride with us, your chauffeur waits inside near baggage claim holding a name sign, then brings the vehicle to the canopy the moment your bags appear, so you spend no time standing in the cold or the wind.

Ground Transportation Options

Alongside our chauffeured service, the terminal lobby desk can connect arriving passengers with Med City Taxi, Rochester Shuttle Service and hotel courtesy vans, several of which run free to downtown properties. Avis, Budget, Enterprise and National keep counters inside the terminal. Land to Air Express operates a daily bus linking RST with Mankato, Owatonna, Austin and Albert Lea. Within the city, Rochester Public Transit runs 32 routes and three free park and ride lots with express service to Saint Marys and downtown, which can be useful once you have settled into your hotel.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Walk straight through: baggage claim is steps from the gate, and the ground transportation desk is in the same lobby.
  • Set your watch to Central Time and allow 20 to 25 minutes for the drive to downtown Rochester hotels or Mayo Clinic.
  • Patients can request Skycap wheelchair help ahead of time through the airport, and Mayo Clinic Patient Travel Services can coordinate day of travel needs.
  • Dress for the season. Rochester winters bring subzero mornings and drifting snow across Highway 63, and a prebooked vehicle idling under the canopy makes a real difference.
  • Confirm your return pickup the night before and allow 60 to 75 minutes at the airport for domestic departures; security at RST moves quickly.

Winter Arrivals

From November through March, southeastern Minnesota regularly sees ice and blowing snow on Interstate 90, Highway 52 and Highway 14. On those days our chauffeurs drive all wheel drive SUVs and sedans fitted with winter tires, check MnDOT road conditions before dispatch, and build extra time into every transfer so you still arrive on schedule.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Service Is the Easier Choice?

Taxis and rideshare cars do serve RST, and for a quick trip into town they can work. The difference shows up when it matters. Rideshare availability in Rochester thins out late in the evening and during snowstorms, and surge pricing climbs at exactly the moments you most need a ride. Taxis meet arriving flights, but a late inbound can leave you waiting for the next one. A prebooked Union Limousine chauffeur is committed to your flight number, adjusts automatically to delays, carries your luggage, knows the hospital and hotel entrances, and charges the price you were quoted when you booked. For patients, executives and families alike, that certainty is the whole point.

Our Fleet for RST Airport Transfers

Every vehicle is black on the outside, detailed between rides and stocked with bottled water. Choose by passenger count and luggage volume, and our team will confirm the fit before you pay.

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

Executive sedans suit solo business travelers, couples and patients traveling with one companion. Two large suitcases plus carry ons fit easily. Ideal for hotel transfers downtown and quick runs to Saint Marys or the Gonda Building.

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Full size luxury SUVs give families and small teams extra legroom and cargo space for four to five large bags, medical equipment or golf clubs. All wheel drive makes them the preferred winter choice for runs down Highway 52.

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Stretch limousines range from eight passenger classics to 20 passenger stretch SUVs. They turn an airport pickup into an occasion for wedding parties, milestone birthdays, prom groups and clients you want to impress on arrival.

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

Executive and shuttle Sprinters carry up to 14 passengers with standing headroom and generous luggage racks. They are our most requested vehicle for visiting surgical teams, corporate groups and extended families arriving on the same flight.

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Party buses with wraparound seating, lighting and audio systems carry groups of up to 30 from RST to bachelor and bachelorette weekends, brewery tours and Mayo Civic Center events.

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mini coaches with reclining seats and under floor luggage bays are right for conference delegations, sports teams and tour groups connecting to hotels in Rochester, Winona or the Twin Cities.

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Full size motorcoaches with restrooms, WiFi and climate control move the largest groups: medical conferences, university programs, church groups and multi day tours that begin or end at RST.

Popular RST Transfer Routes Across Minnesota

Rochester and Olmsted County

Most RST pickups end within 15 minutes of the terminal: Mayo Clinic's downtown campus, Saint Marys Hospital, the Kahler Grand and Hilton on the skyway system, Mayo Civic Center, the Apache Mall district, Byron and Stewartville. Experience Rochester's visitor transportation guide notes that four highways feed the city, and our chauffeurs know which one to take at every hour of the day. If you want a car for the whole stay, our RST airport car service can keep a chauffeur on standby for appointments and dinners.

Southeastern Minnesota Towns

Winona on the Mississippi bluffs, Red Wing's historic downtown, Austin and the Hormel headquarters, Albert Lea at the Interstate 35 and Interstate 90 junction, Owatonna's Federated Insurance campus and Lanesboro in the bluff country are all within 50 to 75 minutes of RST. We quote these as flat rates so a longer transfer never comes with meter anxiety.

Twin Cities and MSP Connections

Plenty of Rochester bound travelers still land in Minneapolis when the fare or the schedule favors MSP. Our car service in Minnesota covers the 85 mile run down Highway 52 in both directions, with meet and greet at MSP Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 and the same flight tracking we provide at RST. We also handle RST to downtown Minneapolis or Saint Paul for travelers heading north after a Rochester visit.

Group and Conference Travel

Mayo Clinic continuing education courses, the Rochester Marathon, Thursdays Downtown and tournaments at the National Volleyball Center bring groups through RST all year. Our charter bus rental at Minnesota airports coordinates multiple arriving flights into one departure manifest, stages coaches in the airport's commercial lane and delivers everyone to the hotel together.

For domestic departures from RST we suggest arriving 60 to 75 minutes before boarding. Security at this airport moves quickly, so from downtown Rochester a pickup about 95 minutes before departure is comfortable. From Winona, Austin or the Twin Cities, add the drive time and we will propose an exact pickup when you book.

Your chauffeur waits in the terminal lobby beside baggage claim holding a sign with your name. Because RST has one compact level, you will see them within seconds of leaving the gate area. Once your bags arrive, the chauffeur brings the vehicle to the covered canopy directly outside the doors.

No. We track every inbound American and Delta flight in live time and move your chauffeur's arrival to match the actual landing. Delays caused by the airline never add to your fare. A standard grace period after landing is also included so you can collect bags without watching the clock.

Yes. Transfers from RST to the Gonda Building, Mayo Building, Saint Marys Hospital and downtown patient hotels are among our most common bookings. Chauffeurs know the correct entrances and drop off points, assist with mobility equipment, and can be scheduled to bring you back to the airport after your last appointment.

The drive from the RST terminal to downtown Rochester hotels such as the Kahler Grand or the Hilton takes about 20 to 25 minutes in normal traffic via Highway 63. Winter conditions can add a few minutes, which our dispatch team factors in when confirming your pickup.

We do. Rochester to Minneapolis Saint Paul International or downtown Minneapolis runs about 85 miles up Highway 52 and typically takes 90 minutes. We quote it as a flat rate, track your onward flight if you are connecting at MSP, and provide the same chauffeur meet and greet in both directions.

A 14 passenger Sprinter van is the right fit for ten travelers with checked bags, offering standing headroom and dedicated luggage space. If your group has heavy equipment or wants more room to spread out, a mini coach with under floor luggage bays is the next step up.

Yes. Infant, convertible and booster seats can be added to any sedan, SUV or Sprinter reservation at no extra charge. Let us know the age and weight of each child when you book so the chauffeur arrives with the correct seats already installed and inspected.

Our chauffeurs operate year round in southeastern Minnesota. On snow and ice days we assign all wheel drive vehicles with winter tires, review MnDOT road conditions before dispatch, and leave early to protect your schedule. If RST diverts or cancels flights, we rebook your pickup at no charge.

Your quote covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, tolls, airport fees, standard waiting time and meet and greet inside the terminal. Gratuity can be included at booking or handled on the day. There are no surge charges, and the figure in your confirmation is the figure you pay.
