What we offer

Falls International (INL) Airport Limo Service

Fishing groups, mill executives and park visitors ride INL in sedans, SUVs, Sprinter vans and coaches with fixed quotes, flight monitoring, and winter ready vehicles for every northern Minnesota road.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Falls International (INL) Airport

Flights into International Falls touch down at the very top of Minnesota, where the Rainy River marks the Canadian border and the nearest hub sits five hours of highway to the south. Our Falls International (INL) Airport limo service gives travelers across Minnesota, MN a chauffeur who is already standing in the single gate terminal when the Delta Connection jet from Minneapolis arrives. Union Limousine handles INL arrivals and departures, resort transfers on Rainy Lake, border runs to Fort Frances, and long distance rides to Duluth, the Iron Range, and the Twin Cities. Every reservation follows the same standards that define our Minnesota airport limo service at each commercial airport in the state.

Why Choose Our Limo Service at Falls International Airport?

International Falls is home to about 5,800 people, a border crossing, a paper mill, and one of the shortest airline schedules in Minnesota. Taxis are scarce, rideshare drivers rarely appear on the app, and a missed connection at MSP can stretch a one hour flight into a long day. Union Limousine removes that uncertainty with a prebooked chauffeur and an all inclusive quote confirmed before you leave home.

  • Flight tracking on every SkyWest operated Delta Connection arrival, so a late jet from MSP never leaves you standing at baggage claim without a driver
  • Meet and greet inside the terminal, steps from the baggage carousel and the free parking lot
  • Vehicles equipped for northern Minnesota winters, with remote start, winter tires, and chauffeurs who drive Highway 11 and US 53 in every season
  • Fixed pricing that already includes tolls, fuel, and gratuity, with no surge pricing when both daily flights arrive within the same hour
  • Licensed, insured, background checked chauffeurs who know the Rainy Lake resorts, the mill gate, and the Fort Frances bridge queue
  • One account for a single traveler or a 56 passenger charter, with the same dispatcher on the line 24 hours a day

Chauffeured Transfers Across International Falls and Koochiching County

Koochiching County covers about 3,150 square miles of forest, lake, and bog, and INL is its only commercial runway. Our chauffeurs serve the whole county and the surrounding lake country, from Ranier and Island View on the east to Littlefork and Big Falls on the south, with the same vehicle and driver for the entire trip.

Rainy Lake Resorts and Voyageurs National Park

The Rainy Lake Visitor Center of Voyageurs National Park sits about 11 miles east of the airport on Highway 11, and most of the park past that point is reached by boat. We deliver houseboat parties, walleye anglers, and family reunions to resort docks at Island View, Ranier, and Kabetogama with rod tubes, coolers, and duffel bags loaded in the cargo area. Groups of eight to fourteen often choose our Sprinter van service in Minnesota for the ride from the gate to the marina.

Fort Frances Border Crossings and Downtown International Falls

The bridge between International Falls and Fort Frances, Ontario is one of the busiest crossings on the northern border, and our chauffeurs handle the queue, the documents, and the return trip on a single fixed quote. Within town we serve Smokey Bear Park, the Koochiching County Historical Society museums, Rainy River Community College, and the paper mill that anchors the local economy. First time visitors can preview lodging and dining through the Rainy Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau guide to International Falls, then leave every ride to us once they arrive. Construction updates, arena schedules, and event calendars are published by the City of International Falls, which owns the airport and oversees it with Koochiching County through a joint Airport Commission.

Long Distance Rides to Duluth, the Iron Range, and the Twin Cities

When the single daily schedule does not fit your plans, travelers ride with us to Duluth International (about 165 miles via US 53), Range Regional in Hibbing (about 110 miles), Bemidji Regional (about 115 miles southwest on US 71), or straight to Minneapolis Saint Paul International, roughly 300 miles and five hours south. A chauffeured sedan or SUV turns that drive into working time with Wi Fi, bottled water, and one driver for the whole route. These rides follow the same chauffeur standards as our limo service in Minnesota statewide.

Falls International (INL) Airport Information

INL is the smallest commercial airport in Minnesota by schedule and one of the most important by geography. It is the only scheduled airline link for a border region that sits five hours from the Twin Cities, and it doubles as a customs clearance point for aircraft arriving from Canada.

History and Importance

Before World War II, pilots around International Falls landed on a grass strip south of Highway 11. The city paved two runways in 1946, opened a terminal in 1948, and welcomed scheduled airline service in 1953. A second terminal followed in 1979 and was dedicated by Vice President Walter Mondale, and after several runway extensions the field took the name Falls International Airport in 2011. The current terminal arrived in two phases: the public side opened on October 4, 2017, and the second phase, which added customs processing space, a National Weather Service office, TSA offices, and the airport's first jet bridge, finished in May 2019. The single level building cost about 15 million dollars and makes INL one of nine Minnesota airports with scheduled airline service. Its status as a designated U.S. Port of Entry gives private pilots crossing from Canada a customs clearance point right at the border.

Airlines Operating from INL

Delta Connection, operated by SkyWest Airlines, is the only scheduled passenger carrier at INL. The route is supported by the U.S. Department of Transportation program that funds air links for small communities, and SkyWest has flown it through successive contract renewals, including the term that began in February 2021. UPS runs cargo flights to Minneapolis Saint Paul, and Sun Country Airlines operates casino charters to Laughlin, Nevada on select dates each season.

Domestic Destinations

Minneapolis Saint Paul International is the sole scheduled destination, typically two round trips a day on Bombardier CRJ regional jets with a block time of about 70 minutes. From MSP, Delta connects onward to its full domestic and international network, which is how International Falls travelers reach Chicago, Denver, Atlanta, and both coasts in a single ticket. The Sun Country charter to Laughlin is the only other passenger flight that appears on the INL board.

Terminal Information

INL has one terminal and one airside gate with a jet bridge, so wayfinding takes seconds. Check in counters, the TSA checkpoint, baggage claim, and the customs hall sit on a single level, with free Wi Fi throughout, vending machines, a fireplace lounge, and racks of local attraction brochures. The airport asks passengers to arrive at least 75 minutes before departure, and check in and screening close 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Einarson Flying Service, the fixed base operator, handles general aviation from its own building beside the terminal.

Passenger Traffic

INL is a small station by design. Federal data for the twelve months ending August 2024 show about 14,000 passengers on the Minneapolis route, and annual enplanements have stayed in the mid teens of thousands for well over a decade, with 16,590 recorded in 2008. The airfield handles close to 39,000 aircraft operations a year, almost 90 percent of them general aviation, with about 20 aircraft based on the field. The practical result for travelers is short lines, fast bag delivery, and a parking lot that rarely fills.

Parking Overview

Parking at INL is free. Short term and long term spaces sit directly outside the terminal doors in the main lot, with no permits, meters, or shuttles. The airport's passenger information page confirms the free lot and the 75 minute check in guidance. Travelers leaving a vehicle for a week should budget time to clear snow on return during winter months; our chauffeurs remove that chore entirely by handling the ride in both directions.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

Arrivals at INL

Your chauffeur monitors the SkyWest flight number and waits inside the terminal beside baggage claim holding a name sign. Bags arrive within minutes of the jet reaching the bridge, and the vehicle is parked in the lot just outside the front doors, so the walk from carousel to car seat takes under a minute even in January.

Departures from INL

We schedule drop off 90 minutes before departure to respect the 75 minute check in recommendation and the 30 minute cutoff. The terminal entrance is on 2nd Avenue East, a short turn off Highway 11 on the east side of town, and loading happens directly in front of the doors.

Ground Transportation Options

Apart from chauffeured service, ground transportation at INL is limited. Avis and a local Ford dealership rent cars from the terminal, and both fill up during peak fishing season. There is no fixed route public transit from the airport, no hotel shuttle network, and taxi availability depends on a very small number of local operators. Rideshare apps frequently show no cars in International Falls at all. A prebooked INL airport car service is the one option that guarantees a vehicle at a set time.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Confirm your onward ride before boarding at MSP; cell coverage is reliable in town but thin along Highway 11 toward Kabetogama
  • Dress for the climate. International Falls is nicknamed the Icebox of the Nation, and winter arrivals often step into temperatures below zero Fahrenheit
  • Carry a passport or passport card if a trip to Fort Frances is on the itinerary; the bridge crossing is a short drive but a full international border
  • Keep fishing licenses, park permits, and resort confirmations in your carry on so a delayed checked bag cannot stall the first day
  • Book early for the walleye opener in May, the Fourth of July week, and Icebox Days in January, when both daily flights fill quickly

Winter Travel Note

Snow and ice slow roads and delay flights at INL between November and April. Our dispatcher watches MSP departure boards and Minnesota road conditions, and chauffeurs leave early so a slow drive on US 53 never costs you a flight.

Border Documents

U.S. Customs and Border Protection staffs the Port of Entry at INL 24 hours a day with advance notice, which matters for private pilots inbound from Canada. Commercial passengers connecting through MSP do not clear customs at INL; the hall serves general aviation and charter arrivals.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Is the Smart Choice at INL?

At a hub airport a taxi line always moves. At INL, a taxi may need to be summoned from town, and rideshare drivers are often offline because demand arrives in two short bursts a day. Prebooking with Union Limousine locks in a vehicle, a chauffeur, and a price before your flight leaves Minneapolis. The driver already knows your resort, your gate time, and your luggage count, and if the jet diverts or runs late, dispatch adjusts without a phone call from you. For executives visiting the mill, medical travelers, and families with children and gear, that certainty is the whole point of chauffeured travel. Our Minnesota airport chauffeur service applies the same discipline at every commercial field in the state.
