What we offer

Decatur Shores (DTR) Airport Limo Service

Island homeowners, wedding parties and retreat groups count on a Decatur Shores (DTR) Airport Limo Service that tracks charter timing, carries island luggage and waits calmly through all foggy delays.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Decatur Shores (DTR) Airport

Reaching a gravel airstrip on Decatur Island takes planning, and the drive to your hangar or charter dock should be the easiest part of the day. Our Washington airport limo service connects Decatur Shores (DTR) travelers with chauffeured rides between Seattle, Bellingham, Anacortes and the mainland airfields that feed the San Juan Islands. We follow your flight plan, confirm the meeting point with your pilot, and keep a licensed chauffeur parked where you actually step off the plane.

Decatur Island has no state ferry stop, so almost every visitor reaches DTR by small aircraft or private boat after a ground leg on the mainland. Union Limousine handles that ground leg from start to finish, covering SeaTac arrivals, Anacortes departures, and the ride home once your island stay wraps up.

Why Island Travelers Book Our DTR Airport Car Service?

  • Flight aware dispatch that watches charter departure times and weather holds out of Anacortes and Friday Harbor.
  • Cargo friendly vehicles for coolers, golf bags, grocery runs and a full week of island supplies.
  • Flat quotes that spell out tolls, parking and waiting time before you confirm.
  • Meet and greet service at SeaTac baggage claim, Anacortes marinas or a private hangar ramp.
  • A reservations desk open around the clock for dawn charter slots and late evening returns.

Who Rides With Us to Decatur Island Flights?

Our regular DTR riders include island homeowners opening cabins for the summer, weekend guests flying in for a family gathering, contractors carrying tools for a build, and planners coordinating small weddings on private waterfront lots. Corporate teams booking a quiet retreat also lean on us to move people from Seattle offices to the Anacortes airfield in one tidy convoy.

Decatur Shores (DTR) Airport Information

Before you plan the ground trip, it helps to know how this small island field operates. The details below come from public FAA records and the airport's community owners.

Airport Snapshot

  • Airport Name: Decatur Shores Airport
  • Airport Code: DTR (IATA), FAA identifier WN07
  • Location: Decatur Island, San Juan County, Washington (mailing address Anacortes, WA 98221)
  • Phone: +1 360 375 6044 (Decatur Shores Community Association)
  • Airport Reference: Decatur Shores airfield data

Brief History and Importance

The field was activated in January 1972 and is owned by the Decatur Shores Community Association, the homeowners group behind one of the larger private communities on the island. With no public ferry service, the strip gives residents a direct air link to the mainland for medical visits, work trips and supply runs. A second private strip, Decatur Jones, operates nearby on the same island.

Airlines and Domestic Destinations

No scheduled airlines operate at DTR. Traffic consists of owner flown aircraft and on demand charters, and pilots need permission from the association before landing. Most travelers connect through a mainland gateway, then finish the trip by private plane or boat. For nationwide domestic flights, Seattle Tacoma International is the main hub, with Alaska Airlines and Delta offering nonstop service to cities such as Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Phoenix and New York.

Mainland Gateways Our Chauffeurs Serve for DTR Trips

  • Anacortes Airport (OTS), roughly 11 km east across Rosario Strait
  • Friday Harbor Airport (FRD) on San Juan Island
  • Bellingham International Airport (BLI) in Whatcom County
  • Skagit Regional Airport (BVS) near Burlington
  • Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) for national connections

Terminal and Runway Information

DTR has no terminal building, no TSA checkpoint and no control tower, and the field is unattended. A single gravel and turf runway, 15/33, measures 2,550 by 75 feet at an elevation of about 38 feet. Low intensity edge lights run from dusk until 10 p.m., and no fuel or repair service is available on site, so pilots plan fuel stops at Anacortes or Friday Harbor.

Passenger Traffic

The FAA publishes no passenger counts for this private strip. Activity follows the island calendar: busy summer weekends, holiday arrivals, and quieter winter months when only year round residents fly in and out.

Parking Overview

There is no public parking at Decatur Shores; vehicles on the island belong to residents and stay on private property. On the mainland side, paid lots at Anacortes marinas and the Anacortes airfield fill early on summer Fridays, which is one reason many guests prefer a chauffeured drop off.

Pickup and Drop Off Guidance

All of our pickups happen at the mainland end of your journey. We meet charter passengers on the ramp at Anacortes Airport, at Cap Sante Marina or Skyline Marina for boat transfers, and at SeaTac, where prearranged cars follow the airport's ground transportation rules for the parking garage pickup level. Share your tail number or boat name at booking, and your chauffeur will text when parked.

Ground Transportation Options

Decatur Island has no taxis, rental desks, buses or rideshare drivers, so the ground plan always centers on the mainland. Drivers heading toward Anacortes can check Skagit County road and ferry updates before leaving, while travelers who prefer to relax hand the entire route to a chauffeur who already knows the Highway 20 approach and the Deception Pass bridge traffic.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Confirm landing permission and weight limits with your charter operator, since small aircraft restrict baggage.
  • Pack soft bags for the flight leg and let the vehicle carry bulky items to the dock or hangar.
  • Watch for marine fog in the morning; build a cushion into tight SeaTac connections.
  • Text your chauffeur after touchdown at the mainland airfield, and the car will roll to the ramp.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare?

Rideshare coverage around Anacortes thins out early in the morning and late at night, and a taxi from SeaTac to Fidalgo Island can climb fast once traffic builds on Interstate 5. A reserved chauffeur arrives on schedule, waits through weather holds, and adjusts the return time when your pilot shifts the departure. You also get a vehicle sized for island luggage, which a standard rideshare car rarely fits.

Washington Routes and Destinations We Cover

Travelers flying in from out of state often begin with SeaTac airport limo service and ride north about ninety minutes. Guests who simply need a sedan for a quick hop can book our Decatur Shores airport car service, and anyone planning nights out or events statewide can explore our limo service in Washington.

Mainland Pickup Zones

Seattle Metro and Lake Union

Downtown hotels, Bellevue offices, the Lake Union seaplane docks and SeaTac terminals all connect with northbound routes toward Fidalgo Island.

Skagit Valley, Fidalgo Island and Whidbey

Mount Vernon, Burlington, La Conner, Oak Harbor and Anacortes neighborhoods sit within a short drive of the charter ramps and marinas.

Seasonal Timing Note

Tulip festival weekends in April and peak summer ferry days slow Highway 20, so we schedule extra buffer time during those weeks. Our national limo service network also covers your trip at the other end of a SeaTac flight.
