San Luis Valley Regional (ALS) Airport Limo Service
Corporate teams, wedding parties and tour groups count on our San Luis Valley Regional (ALS) Airport Limo Service for Sprinter vans and coaches that carry up to 56 passengers anywhere in Colorado, CO.

Stretch Limo Service to and from San Luis Valley Regional (ALS) Airport
Your Denver flight touches down at 7,539 feet, the terminal doors open onto crisp valley air, and a chauffeur is already holding a sign with your name on it. That is the standard we set with our Colorado airport limo service at San Luis Valley Regional Airport. ALS sits on the southern edge of Alamosa and serves six counties of the San Luis Valley, a high desert basin ringed by the Sangre de Cristo and San Juan ranges. One daily jet link to Denver carries potato growers, Adams State faculty, dune hikers, Wolf Creek skiers and medical travelers, and every one of them needs a dependable ride once the bags come off the belt. We provide that ride, with a tracked arrival, a warmed cabin in January, a cooled cabin in July, and a driver who knows the valley highways in every season.
Union Limousine built this page for Colorado travelers who want ALS transfers handled with the same polish expected at Denver International. Whether the destination is a Monte Vista farm office, the Zapata Ranch, a Creede theater weekend or a conference at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center, we match the vehicle to the group, confirm the flight number and keep the itinerary moving from the curb to the final doorstep.
Why Colorado Travelers Book Our ALS Airport Limo?
- Flight tracked pickups: We monitor every Denver Air Connection arrival, so a late push back at DEN or a snow hold over La Veta Pass never leaves you waiting outside a closed terminal.
- Chauffeurs who know the valley: Our drivers handle US 160, US 285, CO 17 and CO 150 in summer dust storms and winter black ice, with winter tires and chains carried from November through April.
- Altitude aware comfort: Bottled water, individual climate control and a measured pace on the first miles help passengers coming from sea level settle in at 7,500 feet.
- One vehicle for every party size: From a single executive in a sedan to a 56 passenger coach carrying a Great Sand Dunes tour group, the right vehicle is already in the fleet.
- All inclusive quotes: The price confirmed at booking covers fuel, gratuity guidance, curbside wait time and tolls where they apply, so the final invoice matches the estimate.
- Live dispatch around the clock: Reservations, schedule changes and weather diversions are handled by a staffed desk 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our Fleet for San Luis Valley Regional Airport Transfers
Every vehicle is detailed before dispatch, inspected for mountain driving and loaded with the cargo room valley trips demand, whether that means ski bags for Wolf Creek, tripods for the Monte Vista Crane Festival or sample cases for a sales call on Main Street in Alamosa.
Private Cars for One to Six Passengers
Sedans: up to 3 passengers
Executive sedans suit a lone traveler or a couple with carry on bags and one checked suitcase each. They are the usual pick for hospital consultations at San Luis Valley Health, interviews at Adams State University, court dates at the Alamosa County Justice Center and quick hops to a downtown hotel after the evening flight.
SUVs: up to 6 passengers
Full size SUVs give a family or a small project team room for six people, golf bags for Cattails Golf Course or a week of dune camping gear. The ground clearance and all wheel drive are welcome on the gravel approach to Zapata Falls and on CO 150 after a spring storm.
Group Vehicles for Celebrations and Teams
Stretch limousines: up to 20 passengers
A stretch limousine turns an ALS pickup into the opening scene of a wedding weekend at a valley ranch, a quinceañera in Alamosa or a milestone birthday at a Rio Grande riverside venue. Fiber optic lighting, a wet bar with ice and a sound system travel with you.
Sprinter vans: up to 14 passengers
High roof Sprinter vans are the workhorse for wedding parties, hunting groups bound for the Conejos River country, university athletic staff and corporate teams visiting the valley's solar farms. Everyone sits upright with luggage racked behind the rear row.
Party buses: up to 30 passengers
Party buses carry up to 30 guests with perimeter seating, LED lighting and premium audio. They are popular for bachelor and bachelorette groups heading to Crestone, brewery crawls between Alamosa and Monte Vista, and reunion groups that want to ride together from the airport.
Charter Coaches for Tours and Conferences
Mini charter buses: up to 35 passengers
A 35 seat mini coach fits a church youth group heading for the dunes, a school science trip to the Great Sand Dunes visitor center or a conference breakout group staying at the Hampton Inn Alamosa. Overhead racks and under floor bays hold the luggage.
Full size charter buses: up to 56 passengers
Full size coaches with restrooms, reclining seats, power outlets and Wi Fi handle the largest arrivals ALS sees: Adams State visiting teams, agricultural delegations touring the valley's potato and barley operations, and multi day tour groups routing from Alamosa to Taos, Santa Fe and back to Denver.
Where We Drive from ALS?
The valley is wide and the distances are honest, so the right chauffeur changes how the day feels. Here are the runs we complete most often from the San Luis Valley Regional Airport curb.
Alamosa and the Heart of the Valley
The terminal is barely two miles from downtown, which means a sedan has you checked in at a Main Street hotel within ten minutes of baggage claim. Our Alamosa car service covers Adams State University events, the Rio Grande Farm Park, Alamosa National Wildlife Refuge birding trips and the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center campus. Chauffeurs also run regular shuttles between the airport and the hotels clustered along West Avenue and Main Street for crews on multi day assignments.
Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve
The tallest dunes in North America rise about 35 miles northeast of ALS, roughly 40 minutes by road along US 160 and CO 150. According to NASA imagery, the tallest crest climbs around 750 feet, with the dune field tucked into a curve of the Sangre de Cristo Range where winds from several directions pile the sand high. We handle sunrise photography transfers, Medano Creek family days in late May and June, sandboard rental drop offs at Oasis and overnight runs to the Zapata Ranch and Great Sand Dunes Lodge. Chauffeurs wait on site when a round trip is booked, so the return to the airport is never in question.
Monte Vista, Del Norte, South Fork and Wolf Creek
US 160 west of Alamosa strings together the working towns of the upper valley. Monte Vista is 17 miles out and hosts the Crane Festival each March, Del Norte sits 31 miles out at the mouth of the Rio Grande canyon, and South Fork, 47 miles from the terminal, is the gateway to Wolf Creek Ski Area, whose average snowfall tops 400 inches a season. Our Rio Grande County car service runs skiers to the Wolf Creek base in SUVs and Sprinters, carries anglers to the gold medal water near South Fork and continues to Creede, about 70 miles from ALS, for the summer repertory theatre.
Antonito, San Luis and the Road to Taos
South of the airport, US 285 passes Antonito and the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad depot, 28 miles from the terminal, before crossing into New Mexico. San Luis, Colorado's oldest town, lies about 40 miles southeast on CO 142. Many ALS arrivals are bound for Taos, about 95 miles and two hours away, where the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and Taos Pueblo anchor a weekend. We also run to Taos Ski Valley, Ojo Caliente and Santa Fe, roughly 140 miles south, for travelers who found the Alamosa flight easier than Albuquerque connections.
Long Distance Transfers to Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo
When a winter storm cancels the ALS jet, or when a group needs to be in Denver by a fixed hour, we drive. Denver International is about 230 miles and four hours away via US 285 over Poncha Pass, Colorado Springs is about 165 miles via La Veta Pass and Interstate 25, and Pueblo Memorial Airport is roughly 120 miles east. Our Colorado limo service also covers Salida, Crestone, Fort Garland and Walsenburg, with chauffeurs who break long runs with rest stops and keep clients informed on road conditions.

History and Importance
Local leaders proposed an airfield for Alamosa in 1939, ground was broken the same year and the field opened in early 1941. The name Bergman Field honors Carl A. Bergman, a local businessman who lived from 1908 to 1988 and championed the project from the start. Monarch Air Lines brought the first scheduled flights with DC 3s in 1946 and 1947, Frontier followed with Convair 580 turboprops from 1982, and later decades saw Great Lakes Airlines, Boutique Air and a short SkyWest period before Denver Air Connection took over in 2022. The airport covers 1,700 acres on the south side of town and remains the only commercial airfield for Alamosa, Rio Grande, Conejos, Costilla, Saguache and Mineral counties, a service area larger than the state of Connecticut. A new terminal opened in 2015, and the airport's advisory board continues to pursue hangar development and air service growth.
Airlines Operating from ALS
Denver Air Connection, the passenger brand of Englewood based Key Lime Air, is the single scheduled carrier at ALS and flies under the federal rural air service program, with the current contract renewed in June 2024. Flights use a 30 seat Dornier 328 jet or a 50 seat Embraer 145, both with leather seating and no bag fees. The airline sells tickets through its own site and holds interline agreements with United, American and Delta, so a passenger can check bags in Alamosa and claim them in Chicago, Houston or Los Angeles after a Denver connection.
Domestic Destinations
Denver International Airport is the only nonstop destination, served with 12 weekly round trips that take about 55 minutes gate to gate. From DEN, the same ticket can connect onward across the United, American and Delta networks. There is no scheduled service to Colorado Springs, Albuquerque or Santa Fe, which is why road transfers to those cities are such a frequent request on this page.
Terminal Information
The single level terminal completed in 2015 has one gate, one baggage carousel, a TSA checkpoint and the Denver Air Connection ticket counter, which opens 90 minutes before departure and closes 45 minutes before the flight. Passengers should arrive 90 minutes ahead and no later than one hour before departure, because checked bag screening needs a full 45 minutes and late arrivals are not boarded or refunded. Checked baggage is accepted from two hours before departure until one hour before. Quest car rental keeps a desk at the terminal, and a touchscreen parking kiosk stands near baggage claim for travelers without a smartphone.
Passenger Traffic
ALS crossed 10,000 annual boardings for the first time in 2019, a milestone that moved it into the nonhub primary category and qualified the field for over a million dollars in annual federal improvement funding. The FAA count reached 11,319 enplanements in 2023, and the airport reported passing 9,000 passengers by mid November 2024 with the full year on track to clear the 10,000 mark again. The latest calendar year figures are published each autumn in the FAA passenger boarding data for every commercial service airport in the country. General aviation remains busy as well, with roughly 8,400 aircraft operations a year and 26 based aircraft, including medical flights by Eagle Air Med.
Parking Overview
Parking at ALS is simple, inexpensive and entirely outdoors, which matters in a valley where January nights routinely fall below zero.
Daily Parking
The main lot in front of the terminal charges $6 per day, payable through ParkMobile zone 64321 by app, QR code, text to park or the kiosk inside the terminal.
Long Term Parking
Travelers leaving a vehicle for weeks use the long term area marked with yellow chain link fencing, billed at $50 per month under ParkMobile zone 64322, with extra days at $6 after the monthly period ends.
Paying for Parking
Most travelers pay in the ParkMobile app before boarding, and the airport administration office at 719 587 5213 answers questions about zones and receipts.
Cash and Check Payments
Cash or check is accepted when the online parking form is completed first; payments go in the black drop box near baggage claim or by mail to the airport office at 2490 State Avenue, Suite 100.
Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance
The curb directly outside the terminal entrance is the only pickup and drop off lane, and it is rarely crowded because ALS handles one or two flights a day. Departing passengers are dropped at the door with bags unloaded by the chauffeur. For arrivals, your driver parks in the daily lot, meets you inside at baggage claim with a name board, and carries luggage to the vehicle. Our ALS airport car service team confirms the meeting point by text as the flight lands, so there is no searching for a car in the dark after the 7 pm arrival.
Ground Transportation Options
Ground options at ALS are thin by design. Quest car rental is the only on site rental desk and holds a limited fleet, so vehicles sell out during the Crane Festival, graduation weekends and the summer dune season. Rideshare coverage in Alamosa is sparse and often absent for the evening flight, there is no public bus serving the terminal, and local taxi companies operate limited hours. Centric Aviation, the full service FBO, handles private aircraft fuel and ramp needs, and Depot Avionics is based on the field. A pre booked chauffeur is the one option that guarantees a vehicle at the curb regardless of season.
Tips for Arriving Passengers
- Hydrate before you land: Alamosa sits above 7,500 feet; drink water on the flight and keep the first evening light to avoid altitude headaches.
- Dress for the valley: Winter temperatures in Alamosa rank among the coldest in the lower 48, while summer afternoons can reach 85 degrees with intense sun, so pack layers in every season.
- Watch the weather window: Snow on Poncha Pass or La Veta Pass can delay the inbound jet from Denver; keep your chauffeur's number handy and we adjust the pickup automatically.
- Plan dune visits early: Afternoon sand temperatures at Great Sand Dunes can exceed 140 degrees in July, so morning transfers are the comfortable choice.
- Book transportation before rental cars sell out: One rental counter cannot absorb festival or graduation demand, and a confirmed chauffeur removes that risk.
- Carry a printed itinerary: Cell coverage drops on CO 150 and in the mountain passes, so keep hotel addresses and tour times on paper.
Why a Pre Booked Chauffeur Is the Smarter Choice at ALS?
Taxis and app based rides depend on a driver happening to be near the airport when a 30 seat jet unloads, and in Alamosa that gamble often fails. A pre booked Union Limousine chauffeur is dispatched against the flight number, waits inside for delayed arrivals at no extra charge, carries winter equipment and knows the routes to the dunes, Wolf Creek and Taos without a phone propped on the dashboard. The fare is fixed in advance, the vehicle matches the group size and the luggage count, and a single call reschedules everything if Denver weather shifts the day. For business travelers that means a receipt ready for expense reports; for families it means a child seat already installed; for tour planners it means every seat on the coach is accounted for before the plane lands.

Twenty four hours is enough for sedans and SUVs on most days. During the Crane Festival in March, Adams State commencement and the summer dune season, book a week ahead, and reserve coaches for groups at least two weeks out.
Yes. Every reservation is tied to the flight number, and dispatch watches the inbound jet from Denver in real time. If the aircraft holds for weather or departs late, your pickup time moves with it at no charge.
About 40 minutes. The route runs east on US 160 and north on CO 150 for roughly 35 miles to the visitor center. Add ten minutes for the Great Sand Dunes Lodge or the Zapata Ranch and about 25 minutes more for the Zapata Falls trailhead.
Yes. Wolf Creek is about 65 miles west over US 160 and takes around an hour and 20 minutes in clear weather. We send SUVs or Sprinter vans with ski racks, winter tires and chains for the climb to the pass.
At the baggage carousel, holding a name board. The terminal has one gate and one carousel, so the meeting point is impossible to miss, and your chauffeur texts you as the flight touches down.
A full size charter coach seats up to 56 passengers with a restroom, luggage bays and Wi Fi. For 36 to 56 people we send one coach; smaller groups fit a 35 seat mini coach, a 30 passenger party bus or a 14 passenger Sprinter.
Call dispatch and we convert the airport pickup into a road transfer. Denver International is about four hours away, Colorado Springs about three, and Pueblo about two, so you can still make an onward connection the same day.
Yes. Taos is about 95 miles and two hours south on US 285 and NM 522, and Santa Fe is roughly 140 miles and two and a half hours. Both runs are priced as flat fares with no mileage surprises.
Infant, convertible and booster seats are installed on request at no extra charge. Let us know the ages of the children when booking, and the seats are fitted and checked before the chauffeur leaves for the airport.
A full size SUV carries six passengers with up to six large suitcases, or four passengers with ski bags and camera cases. For more gear, a Sprinter van holds 14 passengers with a dedicated luggage area behind the rear seats.
