Bangor International (BGR) Airport Limo Service
Groups of 3 to 56 ride together with Bangor International (BGR) Airport Limo Service: SUVs, Sprinter vans, and coaches for weddings, cruises, and corporate travel across eastern Maine in every season.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Bangor International (BGR) Airport
Your flight into Bangor is the easy part. Getting from the curb at Bangor International to a lakeside lodge in Greenville, a conference at the Cross Insurance Center, or a summer house on Mount Desert Island is where a plan matters. Union Limousine provides a professional Maine airport limo service at BGR with a licensed chauffeur, a tracked flight, and a vehicle sized for your party, so the drive is settled before your wheels touch the runway in Maine, ME.
We serve everyone who moves through Bangor International: University of Maine faculty heading to Orono, families bound for Acadia National Park, medical travelers visiting Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, wedding parties, and corporate groups filling a weekend at the Maine Savings Amphitheater. Every ride is reserved in advance, quoted up front, and driven by someone who knows Interstate 95, Route 1A, and the coastal roads Down East in every season.
Why Travelers in Maine Choose Our BGR Limo Service?
Bangor is a small airport with big distances behind it. Guests often have 60 to 150 miles to cover after they collect their bags, through terrain where cell coverage drops and taxi availability shrinks quickly after the last evening arrival. Our limo service is built around those realities:
- Flight monitoring on every BGR arrival, so a late inbound from Philadelphia or Charlotte never leaves you waiting at baggage claim for a chauffeur who has not arrived.
- Fixed, all inclusive quotes for long rural transfers to Bar Harbor, Millinocket, Camden, or Presque Isle, with no surge pricing on holiday weekends.
- Chauffeurs who drive northern Maine year round, including winter conditions on Interstate 95 and the Airline Road (Route 9) toward Calais.
- Vehicles for every group size, from a single executive sedan to a 56 passenger coach for a tour group or a corporate retreat.
- Meet and greet inside the Domestic Terminal, with help carrying skis, golf bags, fishing gear, and oversized luggage.
- Bookings available 24 hours a day with written confirmation, chauffeur details before pickup, and a direct contact number on the day of travel.
Who We Drive at Bangor International Airport?
Business and Government Travelers
Bangor is the commercial hub of eastern and northern Maine, and the airport brings in consultants, contractors, healthcare specialists, and state and federal officials every weekday. We provide quiet, on time executive transfers to downtown Bangor offices, the Bangor Waterfront, Husson University, and corporate sites in Brewer and Hampden, plus day rate chauffeur service when a schedule includes several stops across the region.
Vacation and Acadia Travelers
For many visitors, BGR is the gateway to Acadia National Park and the Down East coast. A private SUV or Sprinter van takes families directly from the terminal to Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Blue Hill, or a rental on the Schoodic Peninsula, with room for coolers, bikes, and kayaks. Our car service to Bangor International Airport also handles the return leg, timed to your departure with a built in buffer for coastal traffic in July and August.
Weddings, Reunions, and Group Events
Coastal and lakeside weddings bring guests through Bangor from across the country. Union Limousine coordinates arrivals landing on different flights, move the wedding party in a stretch limousine, and shuttle guests between hotels near Hogan Road and venues in Camden, Castine, Lincolnville, or Moosehead Lake with mini coaches that keep everyone together.
Our Fleet for Bangor Airport Transfers
Every vehicle in our Maine fleet is late model, detailed before each pickup, and fully licensed and insured for commercial passenger service. Choose by group size and luggage load, and we will match the right chauffeur and vehicle to your BGR arrival.

Quick Reference
- Airport name: Bangor International Airport
- IATA code: BGR
- Address: 287 Godfrey Blvd, Bangor, ME 04401, United States
- Phone: +1 207-992-4600
- Official website: flybangor.com
- Owner and operator: City of Bangor
- Runway: 15/33, 11,440 feet, one of the longest commercial runways on the East Coast
History and Importance
The airfield began as Godfrey Field in the 1920s and became Dow Army Airfield during the Second World War, when it served as a staging point for aircraft crossing the Atlantic. It operated as Dow Air Force Base through the Cold War until 1968, when the City of Bangor purchased most of the base and reopened it as Bangor International Airport. The Maine Air National Guard still shares the field, and the airport remains a joint use facility to this day.
Because BGR is the first large runway reached by eastbound and westbound transatlantic flights, it became a favored refueling and diversion point for international carriers and charter operators. Bangor is also home to the Maine Troop Greeters, volunteers who have welcomed over a million service members passing through the terminal on military charters since 2003. In 2025 the airport finished a two year, 47 million dollar rehabilitation of its single runway, setting the stage for the next phase of growth.
Airlines Operating at BGR
Five scheduled passenger carriers currently serve Bangor International:
- Allegiant Air, the largest carrier by passengers at BGR, with low fare leisure routes to Florida
- American Airlines, including American Eagle regional service to its East Coast hubs
- Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection, serving New York and seasonal hub routes
- United Airlines and United Express, with service to Newark, Chicago, and Denver
- Breeze Airways, which joined the airport in 2024 and added Raleigh Durham in May 2026
Domestic Destinations
Nonstop service from Bangor reaches roughly 16 airports, with Philadelphia the busiest route in 2025. Year round and seasonal destinations include:
- Philadelphia (PHL) and Charlotte (CLT) on American, with Charlotte running seasonally
- Washington Reagan National (DCA) on American
- New York LaGuardia (LGA) and John F. Kennedy (JFK) on Delta
- Newark (EWR) and Chicago O'Hare (ORD) on United, plus summer Saturday service to Denver (DEN)
- Atlanta (ATL) on summer weekends and Detroit (DTW) on summer Saturdays with Delta
- Orlando, Tampa, St. Petersburg, and other Florida points on Allegiant and Breeze
- Raleigh Durham (RDU) on Breeze, a seasonal route that launched in May 2026
Terminal Information
All scheduled flights use the Domestic Terminal, a compact two level building. The ground floor holds airline counters, arrival and departure boards, baggage claim, the rental car desks, and the Bangor Police Department office. Upstairs, past the single TSA checkpoint, travelers find the Refueler Pub and Grill, the Highlands Cafe, a grab and go cafe, and the Grasshopper Shop for Maine made gifts. A separate, limited use International Terminal handles diversions and charters, and a federally funded renovation program is designed to connect the two buildings and expand post security concessions.
Passenger Traffic
Bangor International set an all time record in 2025 with approximately 438,000 enplanements, or close to 860,000 total passengers, up nearly 20 percent on the previous year despite extended runway closures. July and August each ran over 25 percent ahead of 2024. Airport leadership has publicly targeted one million annual passengers by 2030, and the enplanement figures reported in the FAA passenger boarding data place BGR firmly among the fastest growing small hub airports in New England.
Parking Overview
Parking at BGR is located directly across Godfrey Boulevard from the terminal. The Hourly Lot charges one dollar per half hour, up to 18 dollars per day, and the Long Term Lot runs the same hourly rate with a 12 dollar daily cap. When the Long Term Lot nears capacity during school vacations and summer peaks, the overflow Monty Moose Lot opens at 12 dollars per day. A free cell phone lot sits on Godfrey Boulevard for drivers waiting on arriving passengers, and a demand response shuttle serves the lots on request. Current rates and lot status are posted on the airport's parking page. An 800 space lot added in late 2024 relieved chronic overflow, though holiday weekends still fill quickly, which is one reason many regular travelers choose a chauffeured drop off instead.
Pickup and Drop Off Guidance
Arrivals
Your chauffeur tracks the inbound flight and meets you at baggage claim on the ground floor of the Domestic Terminal, holding a sign with your name. Once bags are collected, the vehicle is brought to the arrivals curb just outside the terminal doors, so the walk is a matter of steps rather than a trek across the parking lots.
Curbside Pickup
Airport police keep the terminal curb moving, so active loading only is permitted. We stage in the designated commercial area or the cell phone lot until you text that you have your luggage, then pull forward to the door. Guests who prefer to be picked up outside without entering the building can meet the chauffeur at the curb directly.
Winter Weather Note
Bangor averages well over five feet of snow each winter. During storms we add extra time to every transfer, confirm road conditions on Route 1A and Interstate 95 before departure, and keep you informed by text if the airport announces delays or de icing holds.
Departures
For outbound flights, we recommend arriving 75 to 90 minutes before a domestic departure. BGR security lines are short, but early morning banks of flights to Philadelphia, Newark, and New York can concentrate traffic at the single checkpoint. Your chauffeur unloads at the departures curb and assists with luggage to the airline counter.
Ground Transportation Options
Six rental car brands, including Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, Alamo, and Enterprise, operate counters on the terminal's ground floor. Roughly 40 local taxi companies and a handful of regional shuttle operators serve the airport, several of them specializing in runs to Ellsworth and Mount Desert Island, and rideshare apps operate in the Bangor area with variable availability late at night. The Community Connector city bus stops at the terminal on routes through Bangor, Brewer, Orono, Old Town, Veazie, and Hampden, Concord Coach Lines runs to Portland and Boston from a station about three quarters of a mile away, Cyr Bus Line serves Caribou, and West's Coastal Connection links the airport with Route 1 towns toward Calais. The full list is maintained on the airport's ground transportation page.
Tips for Arriving Passengers
- Download your airline app and enable gate notifications; connecting passengers at Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Newark often see schedule changes on the BGR leg.
- Dress for the season before you leave the terminal. Bangor is frequently 10 to 20 degrees colder than Boston or New York, and the arrivals curb is open air.
- If you are headed to Acadia, buy your park pass online ahead of time and plan the Cadillac Mountain vehicle reservation in advance for summer visits.
- Cell coverage thins out north of Old Town and east of Ellsworth. Confirm pickup details and share your destination address before leaving the terminal.
- Pack a light bag in your carry on for the drive. Transfers to Greenville, Millinocket, or Presque Isle run two to three hours.
- Oversized items such as skis, bikes, and firearms cases are common at BGR. Tell us in advance so we assign a vehicle with suitable cargo space.
Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at BGR?
Bangor is a regional airport with a thin late evening transportation market. Rideshare drivers are few after dark, many taxi operators close before the last inbound flights, and long rural destinations are often declined or quoted at unpredictable rates. A reservation with Union Limousine fixes the price in writing, guarantees that a vetted chauffeur in a clean, properly insured vehicle is waiting when you land, and includes real time flight tracking so a delayed arrival costs you nothing extra. For a 90 minute transfer to Bar Harbor or a two hour run to the North Woods, that certainty is the difference between a relaxed start to your trip and a scramble at the curb. Our chauffeur service in Maine is available around the clock, every day of the year.
