What we offer

Auburn Lewiston Municipal (LEW) Airport Limo Service

Twin Cities travelers get a chauffeur who waits inside the LEW terminal, loads all your bags and drives on to Portland, Freeport or Bates College. Auburn Lewiston Municipal (LEW) Airport Limo Service.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Auburn Lewiston Municipal (LEW) Airport

Auburn Lewiston Municipal Airport sits five miles southwest of Maine's Twin Cities, and it moves a steady stream of corporate jets, air taxi flights and charter aircraft every day of the year. When your aircraft rolls onto the ramp at 80 Airport Drive, a chauffeur should already be standing inside the terminal with your name on a sign. That is the standard behind our Maine airport limo service at LEW, where every ride is prebooked, flight tracked and priced as a flat rate before you ever leave the ground. Whether you are landing for a meeting on Lisbon Street, a Bates College reunion or a weekend at Poland Spring, we handle the road so you can focus on the reason you flew to Maine, ME.

Chauffeured Arrivals and Departures at LEW Airport

LEW is a general aviation field, which changes how ground transportation works. There is no airline arrivals hall, no rideshare queue and no taxi rank outside the door. Travelers who land here either arrange a car ahead of time or wait for one to come out from Lewiston. Our LEW airport limo service closes that gap with scheduled pickups that match your tail number and estimated arrival, so the vehicle is parked and the chauffeur is inside the FBO lounge before your wheels touch runway 4/22.

Private Jet and Charter Meet and Greet

Passengers stepping off a Citation, King Air or PC 12 at Auburn Lewiston Air Center expect the same care on the ground that they received in the air. Our chauffeur greets you in the terminal lounge, confirms your destination, loads luggage directly from the ramp side door and has the climate set before you sit down. Return trips work the same way: we deliver you to the terminal with time to spare for your crew's departure window, then wait until your aircraft is cleared to taxi in case plans change.

Corporate Travel Between Auburn, Lewiston and Portland

Androscoggin County hosts manufacturing, healthcare, financial services and a growing tech cluster, and many executives choose LEW over the Jetport because it keeps them thirty minutes closer to the Twin Cities. We run executive sedans and SUVs between the airport and Central Maine Medical Center, the Bates Mill complex, downtown Auburn offices and corporate parks along Route 4. When the meeting is in Portland, Freeport or Augusta, the same chauffeur stays with you for the entire day on an hourly booking.

Weddings, Bates College Events and Weekend Getaways

Flying into LEW for a wedding at a lakeside barn in Turner, a Bates College commencement or a family week on Thompson Lake? We coordinate multi vehicle arrivals so the whole party leaves the airport together, and we stage stretch limousines and party buses for the event itself. Guests who arrive through Portland International Jetport can be collected there and brought north to join the group in Lewiston and Auburn.

Our Fleet for LEW Airport Transfers

Every vehicle on this list is detailed before each run, equipped with bottled water and phone chargers, and driven by a licensed chauffeur who knows the roads around Lewiston Junction Road, Hotel Road and the Maine Turnpike. Pick the capacity that fits your group:

  • Sedans (up to 3 passengers): executive transfers for one to three travelers, solo business trips to Portland, discreet airport runs for visiting physicians and attorneys.
  • SUVs (up to 6 passengers): families with luggage, small leadership teams, winter arrivals that call for all wheel drive confidence on snowy Androscoggin County roads.
  • Stretch Limousines (up to 20 passengers): wedding parties, milestone birthdays, prom night pickups and anniversary dinners that start the moment you leave the ramp.
  • Sprinter Vans (up to 14 passengers): corporate groups flying in on a shared charter, golf outings to Fox Ridge or Martindale, ski weekends heading up to Sunday River.
  • Party Buses (up to 30 passengers): bachelor and bachelorette weekends, Oxford Casino nights, Great Falls Balloon Festival crowds and brewery crawls through Lewiston.
  • Mini Charter Buses (up to 35 passengers): conference delegations, college athletic teams, church groups and extended families traveling as one unit.
  • Full Size Charter Buses (up to 56 passengers): large corporate retreats, tour groups bound for Freeport and the coast, and reunion weekends that need a single coach.

Why Choose Union Limousine for LEW Airport Rides?

Union Limousine has built its reputation on airport work, and a small general aviation field rewards the habits we practice at major hubs: arriving early, tracking the aircraft, communicating by text and never leaving a client guessing where the car is. Our limo service pricing is quoted in full before you confirm, so tolls, gratuity and wait time are never a surprise on the invoice. Chauffeurs are background checked, trained in luggage handling and dressed for an executive client, and every vehicle carries commercial insurance that meets Maine requirements.

  • Flight and tail number tracking for jets, turboprops and air taxi arrivals
  • Complimentary wait time built into every LEW pickup
  • Flat rate quotes to Portland, Boston, Augusta, Bangor and the coast
  • Child seats, extra luggage space and accessibility requests handled in advance
  • One point of contact from booking to drop off, available around the clock

History and Role in Central Maine

The field opened in 1935 and was commissioned by the U.S. Navy in April 1943 as Naval Auxiliary Air Facility Lewiston, where it supported antisubmarine patrols and helped train American and British torpedo bomber pilots alongside Naval Air Station Brunswick. The Navy handed the property back to the two cities in 1947 and 1948, and for the next four decades the airport hosted scheduled airline flights from Northeast Airlines and a string of commuter carriers until Northeast Express Regional ended service in 1989. Today the airport is one of the busiest general aviation fields in the state by runway operations, serving corporate, charter, cargo and recreational flyers. In 2025 the airport received a federal release of $1.6 million for hangar and terminal upgrades, part of a wider plan to make LEW the preferred general aviation airport for southern and western Maine.

Airlines Operating from LEW

No scheduled airline currently serves Auburn Lewiston Municipal Airport. In January 2025 the airport board voted to stop pursuing commercial passenger service and to concentrate on private, corporate and charter aviation. The traffic you will see on the ramp comes from on demand jet charter operators, air taxi flights, medical and cargo aircraft, flight training and the Civil Air Patrol. If you need a ticketed flight, the closest scheduled service is at Portland International Jetport (PWM), about 24 nautical miles to the south, followed by Augusta State (AUG) and Bangor International (BGR).

Domestic Destinations

Because every flight out of LEW is private or chartered, destinations follow the client's calendar. Operators flying from Auburn routinely file for Teterboro and Westchester in the New York area, Hanscom and Logan in Boston, Washington Dulles, Chicago Executive, Palm Beach and Naples in Florida, and seasonal runs to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. The 5,001 foot runway comfortably handles light and midsize jets, so a Phenom 300, Citation CJ series or King Air can depart with a full cabin, while large cabin aircraft often position through Portland or Bangor.

Terminal Information

The passenger terminal on the west side of the field was expanded by 4,500 square feet in 2012 and now houses the Auburn Lewiston Air Center FBO, a passenger lounge, pilot lounge, conference room, restrooms, showers and Wi Fi. The building sits directly in front of the parking lot, so the walk from car to aircraft takes under two minutes. Ongoing improvements include a new 11,800 square foot storage hangar, a rebuilt general aviation apron and a taxilane funded through an FAA airport infrastructure grant announced in 2025, along with a set of new T hangars behind the terminal.

Passenger Traffic

The FAA recorded roughly 50,000 aircraft operations in a recent twelve month period, an average of about 137 takeoffs and landings per day. Around 72 percent of that activity is general aviation and 28 percent is air taxi, with a small military share. Fifty three aircraft are based on the field, including single engine trainers, multi engine business aircraft, a jet and several helicopters. Passenger counts are not published the way they are for airline airports, but the air taxi share tells the story: a meaningful number of people arrive at LEW on chartered flights every week, and most of them need a car waiting.

Parking Overview

Parking at LEW is free. Surface lots sit directly in front of the terminal, with spaces designated for FBO customers, daily parkers and visitors. There are no garages, shuttles or pay stations, and overnight parking for a few days is generally fine for aircraft owners and charter passengers. Winter plowing keeps the lot open, but the field gets lake effect snow off the Androscoggin valley, so a car left for a week in January may need digging out. Many of our clients book a chauffeur for exactly that reason.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

Approach the airport from Lewiston Junction Road, turning onto Airport Drive; the terminal and parking lot are straight ahead. Our chauffeur parks in the visitor area and walks into the terminal lounge to meet arriving passengers, so you never need to search the lot. For departures we pull up to the terminal entrance, unload luggage and hand it to the line crew or your flight attendant. Give us your operator's name and tail number when booking and we will confirm the meeting point with the FBO the day before travel.

Ground Transportation Options

Ground options at a general aviation airport are thin. The FBO can coordinate a rental car with advance notice and keeps a courtesy car for flight crews, but there is no rental counter, hotel shuttle or taxi stand on the property. The Lewiston Auburn Citylink bus serves the Twin Cities on weekday routes from the Great Falls Transportation Center and the Oak Street station in Lewiston, yet none of those routes reach the airport, and the LAP commuter bus to Portland departs from downtown Auburn and the Exit 75 park and ride. Rideshare coverage in Auburn is unpredictable, especially late at night and on weekends. A reserved chauffeur is the only option that guarantees a vehicle at the terminal when you land.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Share your tail number and operator with us so we can track the flight and adjust for early arrivals.
  • Pack for the weather: winter arrivals often meet icy ramps and single digit temperatures.
  • Cell coverage inside the terminal is reliable, so text your chauffeur once you deplane.
  • Allow 35 to 40 minutes to Portland, 25 minutes to Freeport and about 50 minutes to Augusta in normal traffic.
  • Ask the FBO about fuel and hangar space early in winter, when overnight hangar demand peaks.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Outperforms Taxis and Rideshare at LEW?

Taxis dispatched from Lewiston take twenty minutes or longer to reach Airport Drive, and rideshare drivers frequently cancel once they see the pickup is outside the city grid. A prebooked chauffeur is already on site, knows which door you will walk through, fits the vehicle to your luggage and group size, and bills a single flat rate that was agreed before your aircraft left its home base. For corporate travel departments, that predictability makes expense reporting simple; for families, it means nobody stands in a cold lot watching an app spin.

Local Areas and Venues We Serve from LEW

Lewiston and Auburn

The Twin Cities face each other across the Androscoggin River, linked by the Longley and Bernard Lown bridges. Our chauffeurs cover every neighborhood from New Auburn and the Court Street historic district to Lewiston's Lisbon Street corridor, Sabattus Street and the Bates Mill district. Clients looking for limo service in Maine beyond the airport often keep the same chauffeur for restaurant evenings at Fish Bones or Fuel, hockey nights at the Colisée and concerts at the Franco Center.

Downtown and Great Falls

Great Falls Plaza, the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch, Simard Payne Memorial Park and the riverside trail network sit a ten minute drive from the airport, which makes them the most common first stop for arriving executives and wedding guests.

Great Falls Balloon Festival

Every August the balloon festival fills Simard Payne Park and Festival Plaza with launches at dawn and dusk. We run early morning transfers from LEW and local hotels so visiting pilots and sponsors reach the launch field before the first envelope inflates.

Festival Weekend Group Transfers

Party buses and mini coaches shuttle sponsor groups, media crews and family parties between hotels in Auburn, the launch sites and dinner reservations downtown, with a fixed schedule agreed in advance.

Bates College and the Campuses

Bates College in Lewiston draws prospective families, alumni and visiting lecturers who fly into LEW to avoid the Portland drive. We also serve Central Maine Community College on Turner Street, the University of Southern Maine's Lewiston campus and Maine College of Health Professions, handling admissions visits, commencement weekends and homecoming in matching SUVs or a single coach.

Androscoggin County Towns

Our LEW airport car service reaches every town the airport was built to serve: Turner, Greene, Minot, Mechanic Falls, Poland, Sabattus, Lisbon, Durham, Wales, Leeds and Livermore Falls. Lake houses on Taylor Pond, Lake Auburn and Tripp Lake, farm wedding venues in Turner and the hilltop retreats around Hebron are all regular drop off points.

Day Trips to Freeport, Poland Spring, Oxford Casino and Portland

Freeport's outlet district and the L.L.Bean flagship are 25 minutes down Route 136. Poland Spring Resort, Oxford Casino Hotel and the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray are each within half an hour. Portland's Old Port, the Portland Museum of Art and Brunswick's Bowdoin College are an easy afternoon loop, and clients who want a chauffeur for the entire outing can book our Maine airport chauffeur service by the hour.

No. Scheduled airline service ended in 1989, and in early 2025 the airport board chose to focus on private, corporate and charter aviation. Travelers flying commercially use Portland International Jetport, and we provide transfers between PWM and the Lewiston Auburn area every day.

Inside the terminal lounge operated by Auburn Lewiston Air Center. Your chauffeur arrives early, parks in the visitor lot and waits in the lounge with a name sign, then helps with luggage from the ramp side door to the vehicle.

We prefer 24 hours for sedans and SUVs and 72 hours for stretch limousines, Sprinter vans and buses. Same day requests are often possible, so call us if your charter was booked at short notice.

Yes. Portland is about 35 to 40 minutes and Boston Logan is roughly two and a half hours by the Maine Turnpike and I 95. Both are quoted as flat rates that include tolls, and we track your connecting flight if you continue onward.

Yes. Surface lots in front of the terminal are free for FBO customers and visitors. Many travelers still book a chauffeur in winter to avoid returning to a snowed in car after a week away.

A team of up to six with carry on bags fits an SUV, while groups of seven to fourteen are most comfortable in a Sprinter van with forward facing seats and room for presentation gear. Larger delegations move together on a mini coach.

We do. Provide the tail number or the charter operator's trip number and our dispatch follows the flight in real time, adjusting your pickup if the aircraft departs early or holds for weather.

Absolutely. Our 30 passenger party bus runs from the airport to Oxford Casino Hotel in about 30 minutes, waits on site for an agreed window and returns the group to hotels in Auburn or Lewiston.

All of Androscoggin County, including Turner, Greene, Poland, Minot, Sabattus, Lisbon and Durham, plus regular runs to Freeport, Brunswick, Augusta, Portland and the Sunday River and Sugarloaf resort areas.

Send your travel date, aircraft or flight details, passenger count and destination through our online form or by phone. You receive a written flat rate quote, and confirming it reserves the vehicle and chauffeur.
