MBS International (MBS) Airport Limo Service
Corporate teams and wedding parties rely on our MBS International (MBS) Airport Limo Service for sedans, Sprinter vans, and charter buses to Saginaw, Bay City, Mount Pleasant, and beyond, in Michigan.

Stretch Limo Service to and from MBS International (MBS) Airport
Flights into Freeland put travelers at the center of the Great Lakes Bay Region, and the ride that follows should match the standard of the trip. Our MBS International (MBS) Airport Limo Service places a vetted chauffeur and a freshly detailed vehicle at the curb for arrivals from Detroit and Chicago, with onward service to Midland, Saginaw, Bay City, Mount Pleasant, and every corner of Michigan, MI. Union Limousine tracks each inbound flight, adjusts the meeting time when schedules move, and holds the quoted price from the moment a reservation is confirmed. As one of the airports covered by our Michigan airport limo service, MBS receives the same care we give the busiest hubs in the state.
Why Travelers Reserve a Chauffeur at MBS?
MBS is a compact airport with two airlines and a short walk from gate to curb, which makes it a quick place to arrive and an easy place to be met. The challenge begins outside the terminal. Garfield Road opens onto farmland in every direction, taxi supply thins out after the evening arrivals, and rideshare coverage near Freeland can vanish late at night. A reserved chauffeur removes that uncertainty. Your driver is parked before the aircraft reaches the gate, the cabin is warm in January and cool in July, and the route to your hotel, plant, or home is mapped in advance.
What Comes Standard on Every MBS Pickup?
- Flight monitoring for each Delta Connection and United Express arrival, with pickup times that shift automatically
- Meet and greet inside baggage claim, with a name board on request for first time visitors
- Fixed quotes that include fuel, tolls, and standard waiting time, so the total on the confirmation is the total you pay
- Chauffeurs who know the Tri Cities, Frankenmuth, Mount Pleasant, and the county roads between them
- Child seats, extra luggage capacity, and accessible vehicles arranged at the time of booking
- Corporate accounts with consolidated monthly invoicing for teams that fly into MBS on a regular basis
Where We Take You Across the Great Lakes Bay Region?
The three communities in the airport's name sit within roughly twenty minutes of the terminal. Midland is home to Dow's global headquarters, Dow Gardens, and Dow Diamond, where the Great Lakes Loons play through the summer. Saginaw offers the Temple Theatre, the Castle Museum, the Dow Event Center, and the medical campus around Covenant HealthCare that draws patients and specialists from across the state. Bay City sits on the Saginaw River with Wenonah Park, a working waterfront, and marinas that fill each boating season. Our limo service in Michigan also carries MBS passengers to Frankenmuth for the Bavarian Inn and Zehnder's, to Birch Run Premium Outlets, and to Hemlock, Freeland, and Auburn for industrial site visits.
Mount Pleasant and Central Michigan University
Mount Pleasant is a frequent request from MBS, about an hour west along the Midland Road and US 10 corridor. Parents, recruiters, and visiting faculty heading to Central Michigan University appreciate a driver who already knows the campus layout and the quickest approach to the residence halls on South Franklin Street. Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort on the east side of town draws concert and gaming traffic that we serve with sedans, SUVs, and larger vehicles on event nights.
Longer Transfers and Connecting Airports
Some itineraries split between MBS and other Michigan fields. We provide direct ground transfers to Bishop International in Flint, Capital Region International in Lansing, Cherry Capital in Traverse City, and Detroit Metropolitan for international departures. One chauffeur handles the entire leg, so there is no change of vehicle and no gap in flight tracking. For ground only trips at a sedan price point, our MBS airport car service covers the same region with the same drivers.
Our Fleet for MBS Airport Transfers
Every booking is matched to a vehicle class by passenger count, luggage volume, and the purpose of the trip. All vehicles are late model, detailed before dispatch, and inspected on a fixed maintenance schedule.
Private Vehicles
Sedans, up to 3 passengers
Executive sedans suit single travelers, couples, and consultants on a day trip to Dow or Nexteer. Trunk space holds two large suitcases plus carry on bags, and the quiet cabin makes a productive hour on the way to Midland or Saginaw.
SUVs, up to 6 passengers
Full size SUVs carry families, golf foursomes bound for Apple Mountain, and hunting parties with bulky gear. All wheel drive gives extra confidence on lake effect snow days between Freeland and Bay City.
Stretch Limousines, up to 20 passengers
Stretch limousines serve weddings at Dow Gardens, proms across Saginaw County, milestone anniversaries, and Frankenmuth celebrations. Perimeter seating, mood lighting, and a stocked bar area turn the transfer into part of the occasion.
Group Vehicles
Sprinter Vans, up to 14 passengers
Sprinter vans keep corporate teams together after an MBS arrival for Dow or Hemlock Semiconductor visits. Standing headroom, individual leather seats, and rear luggage racks make them the first choice for wedding parties and CMU recruiting groups.
Party Buses, up to 30 passengers
Party buses handle Soaring Eagle concert nights, bachelor and bachelorette outings, and group trips to Loons games at Dow Diamond. Wraparound seating, sound systems, and coolers are included.
Mini Charter Buses, up to 35 passengers
Mini charter buses move conference delegations between MBS and the Dow Event Center, athletic teams heading to Saginaw Valley State University, and church groups on regional retreats. Under floor luggage bays carry a full bag for every seat.
Full Size Charter Buses, up to 56 passengers
Full size motorcoaches cover plant tours, school travel, large wedding guest shuttles, and alumni weekends at Delta College. Restrooms, reclining seats, Wi Fi, and power outlets are standard on long runs to Detroit or Grand Rapids.
How Reservations Work?
Reserve online or by phone with your flight number, passenger count, and destination address. Union Limousine confirms every MBS reservation in writing, with the vehicle class, the quoted total, and the chauffeur's name and mobile number sent the evening before travel. Changes are accepted up to a few hours before pickup, and our dispatch desk answers around the clock for schedule shifts caused by weather over Lake Huron or late connections through Detroit.
Group Travel and Event Logistics
Conferences at the Dow Event Center, graduation weekends at Saginaw Valley State University, and corporate retreats at The H Hotel in Midland often involve staggered arrivals spread across several MBS flights. Our Michigan airport chauffeur service assigns a coordinator who tracks every inbound passenger and sequences vehicles so nobody waits at the curb. Teams of ten or more usually travel best with our Sprinter van service in Michigan, which keeps colleagues together with full luggage capacity for the drive to the venue.

History and Regional Importance
The federal government acquired the land and built Tri City Airport during World War II, and German prisoners of war housed on the site helped maintain the field. Control passed to local governments after the war, and civilian service grew through the following decades. The airport took its current name in 1994, with the letters standing for Midland, Bay City, and Saginaw. Bay County and the cities of Midland and Saginaw own the airport jointly and govern it through a nine member commission with three seats from each partner. The present terminal opened in October 2012 at a cost of about 55 million dollars, covering roughly 75,000 square feet with six gates, and replaced a three gate building from 1965 that was demolished in 2017. Two asphalt runways, one of 8,002 feet and one of 6,400 feet, handle regional jets as well as the corporate aircraft that serve Dow and other employers in the region.
Airlines Operating from MBS
Two carriers provide scheduled passenger service. Delta Connection, flown by regional partners on behalf of Delta Air Lines, links MBS with Detroit Metropolitan several times a day. United Express connects MBS with Chicago O'Hare. Both hubs offer same day connections to the rest of the United States and to international destinations.
Domestic Destinations
Nonstop flights operate to Detroit and Chicago O'Hare. Between June 2025 and May 2026, Detroit carried about 71,190 passengers and Chicago about 42,230, making the Delta route the busier of the two. Through those hubs, MBS travelers reach Atlanta, Minneapolis, New York, Denver, Florida, and the West Coast with a single connection.
Terminal Information
MBS operates one passenger terminal with a single security checkpoint, six gates, and a baggage claim hall on the ground level. Rental car counters stand inside the terminal beside baggage claim. The building offers free Wi Fi, charging stations, clear wayfinding, and natural light along the concourse. Walking time from the checkpoint to the farthest gate is only a few minutes, which keeps connection stress low.
Passenger Traffic
MBS handled 229,132 passengers in 2025 across 18,351 aircraft operations, with 18 aircraft based at the field. Business travel tied to Dow, Hemlock Semiconductor, Nexteer Automotive, and the regional health systems drives weekday demand, and holiday periods bring strong leisure traffic through the Detroit and Chicago connections.
Parking Overview
All parking at MBS sits close to the terminal, so no shuttle is required. Two entrances from Garfield Road lead to the lots, and both allow a choice between Premium and General parking. Online reservations are available for travelers who want a guaranteed space during holiday weeks, and a short term lot reconstruction completed in 2025 improved walkways to the terminal doors.
Rates at a Glance
- Premium parking: 2 dollars per half hour, 14 dollar daily maximum
- General parking: 2 dollars per hour, 10 dollar daily maximum
- A 30 minute grace period applies in both lots
Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance
The curb in front of the terminal is used for departures and arrivals, and the single level layout means your gate, the checkpoint, and the exit doors are all within sight of one another. Our chauffeurs meet arriving passengers inside baggage claim by default, then bring the vehicle to the curb once bags are in hand. Travelers who prefer a curbside pickup can request it at booking and receive a text with the vehicle description as the flight taxis in. For departures, we drop at the terminal doors nearest the airline counters and help with luggage to the curb.
Ground Transportation Options
Rental counters for Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, and National operate inside the terminal with hours that vary by day. Taxi companies serve the airport under a permit system, and Uber and Lyft are allowed to drop off and pick up at MBS. Several hotels, including The H Hotel in Midland, the DoubleTree in Bay City, and the Marriott properties in Saginaw, run free shuttles on request. The airport's ground transportation page lists current providers and counter hours.
Tips for Arriving Passengers
Before You Leave the Terminal
- Confirm your chauffeur's text message before stepping outside, since mobile coverage inside the baggage hall is strong and the curb is exposed to wind
- Collect checked bags first; MBS carousels unload quickly, and the driver will be positioned by the time the belt stops
- Pick up rental car keys at the counter beside baggage claim if a colleague is driving separately
- Keep the airport's number, +1 989 695 5555, handy for lost items or gate questions
Winter Travel Note
From December through March, lake effect snow can make Garfield Road and the Midland corridor slick within minutes. Our chauffeurs follow the winter driving guidance published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, add buffer time to every pickup, and keep each vehicle fitted with seasonal tires and emergency kits.
Dispatch Contact
Our dispatch desk is staffed around the clock. If a flight diverts to Flint or Detroit, call or text and we will reposition the vehicle at no extra charge.
Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at MBS?
Taxis at MBS depend on who happens to be waiting, and rideshare drivers in Freeland are few after dark, so a late Delta arrival can mean a long wait in the cold. A prebooked chauffeur is already on site, the fare is fixed in advance, and the vehicle is sized for your luggage. Union Limousine also carries commercial insurance and background checked drivers, which matters for corporate travel policies and for families with young children. Through our wider limo service network, the same booking standards apply whether the trip ends in Midland or at a hotel in downtown Detroit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Explore our FAQs to learn more about our luxury fleet, professional chauffeurs, airport transfers, reservations, and private transportation services designed for a comfortable and seamless travel experience.
MBS sits in Freeland at the center of the three cities. Midland is about 15 minutes away, Saginaw about 20 minutes, and Bay City about 20 minutes in normal traffic. Our quotes reflect each address, so a Midland pickup costs less than a run to Frankenmuth.
Yes. We monitor every inbound flight and adjust the pickup time automatically. Standard waiting time after the actual arrival is included in the quote, and there is no penalty for airline delays or gate holds in Detroit.
By default, your chauffeur waits in the baggage claim hall with a name board. Since the terminal has one level and one exit, the meeting point is easy to find. Curbside pickup can be arranged instead if you have only carry on bags.
Yes. Mount Pleasant is roughly an hour west of the airport, and we run sedans, SUVs, Sprinter vans, and party buses to Central Michigan University, Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, and local hotels. Return trips to MBS can be booked at the same time.
We do. A direct transfer from MBS to Detroit Metropolitan takes about two hours. One chauffeur handles the entire leg, tracks your international departure, and can bring you back to the Tri Cities on your return.
For a 6 a.m. departure, we suggest leaving Midland about 4:45 a.m. That allows for the drive, a short check in line, and security screening at the single checkpoint. In winter, we add 15 minutes for road conditions on Garfield Road.
Yes. Infant, convertible, and booster seats can be added to any sedan, SUV, or Sprinter van at booking. Let us know the age and weight of each child so the correct seat is installed before the vehicle leaves the garage.
Our pricing is fixed at the time of booking and covers every scheduled arrival, including the last United flight from Chicago. Any late night adjustment appears on the quote in advance, so there are no surprises at the curb.
A Sprinter van is the right fit for twelve passengers. It seats up to 14 with full luggage racks and keeps the group in one vehicle. For 15 or more, we recommend a mini charter bus with under floor luggage bays.
Request a quote online or by phone with your flight number, passenger count, luggage, and destination. We reply with a fixed total that includes fuel, tolls, and standard waiting time, plus the vehicle class matched to your group.
