Cherry Capital (TVC) Airport Limo Service
Families, corporate teams and bridal parties arriving in Traverse City get flight tracking, fixed rates, and vehicles up to 56 seats with Cherry Capital (TVC) Airport Limo Service across Michigan, MI.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Cherry Capital (TVC) Airport
Your chauffeur is already parked when your flight touches down in Traverse City. Union Limousine runs a dependable Michigan airport limo service that covers every arrival and departure at Cherry Capital (TVC) Airport, the gateway to Grand Traverse Bay, the Leelanau Peninsula, and the resort towns of Northern Michigan. Passengers landing in Traverse City from Chicago, Detroit, Denver, or a winter sun route in Florida step into a clean, climate controlled vehicle and ride straight to a lakefront hotel, a vineyard on Old Mission Peninsula, or a cottage on Torch Lake with no wait at the curb.
Why Travelers Across Michigan Choose Our TVC Limo Service?
Traverse City has an open secret: taxis and rideshare cars thin out fast once the summer crowds go home, and the early morning departures to Chicago leave before most local operators start their day. Union Limousine solves that with scheduled pickups that are confirmed the night before, chauffeurs who live and drive in Northern Michigan, and a dispatch desk that answers the phone at 4 a.m. in January as readily as it does at noon in July.
- Flight monitoring on every TVC arrival, so a delayed connection through O’Hare never leaves you stranded at baggage claim.
- Fixed, all inclusive quotes with tolls, fuel, and gratuity shown up front before you confirm.
- Chauffeurs trained for lake effect snow, M 72 construction detours, and the July festival traffic on Grandview Parkway.
- Meet and greet inside the terminal on request, with help loading golf bags, wine cases, and skis.
- One booking for the full trip: airport pickup, a day of winery stops, and the return ride to TVC.
Chauffeured Rides From TVC Across Northern Michigan
Cherry Capital Airport sits on South Airport Road about three miles southeast of downtown Traverse City, which puts the whole Grand Traverse region within easy chauffeured reach. The most requested drop offs from the terminal are the hotels along East Bay and West Bay, the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Acme, Turtle Creek Casino in Williamsburg, Great Wolf Lodge, and Munson Medical Center for families visiting patients.
Downtown Traverse City and the Bayfront
A ten minute ride connects the terminal to Front Street, the State Theatre, Clinch Park Beach, and the Hotel Indigo and Delamar properties on the water. During the National Cherry Festival in early July and the Traverse City Film Festival, parking downtown disappears by mid morning, so a chauffeured drop at the door saves a long walk and a lot of frustration.
Leelanau and Old Mission Wine Country
Both peninsulas hold dozens of tasting rooms, from Chateau Grand Traverse and Bowers Harbor on Old Mission to Black Star Farms and the villages of Suttons Bay, Leland, and Glen Arbor on Leelanau. Our chauffeurs plan the loop so nobody behind the wheel has to count tastings. Vineyard venues here also host hundreds of ceremonies each year, and our wedding transportation team moves couples, bridal parties, and arriving guests between TVC, the hotels, and the ceremony site on one coordinated schedule.
Sleeping Bear Dunes, Interlochen, and the Resorts
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is roughly 35 minutes west of the airport, and visitors who reserve a site at the Platte River Campground or a cottage in Empire often want a comfortable transfer with gear in the back. Interlochen Center for the Arts, Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville, and the Boyne resorts to the northeast are all regular runs, as are Charlevoix, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City for travelers continuing on to Mackinac Island ferries.
Long Distance Rides to Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Lansing
When a winter storm cancels the short hop to Detroit, or a corporate group needs to reach a meeting in Grand Rapids by morning, we drive it. Our limo service in Michigan covers the full state, including direct transfers from TVC to Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Gerald R. Ford International, Capital Region International in Lansing, and corporate campuses in Midland and Ann Arbor. Larger delegations heading to conferences at the Grand Traverse Resort can pair an executive sedan with our Michigan charter bus service so the whole team arrives together.
Our Fleet for Cherry Capital Airport Transfers
Every vehicle is detailed between rides, carries bottled water, and is driven by a licensed, background checked chauffeur. Choose by headcount and luggage, and we will match the right vehicle to your TVC itinerary.
Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)
Executive sedans suit solo business travelers, couples heading to a bayfront hotel, and anyone who wants a quiet ride with a laptop open. Trunk space fits two large suitcases plus carry on bags.
SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)
Full size SUVs handle families with car seats, golf foursomes, and winter arrivals with skis and snowboards. All wheel drive gives extra confidence on snowy M 72 and US 31.
Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)
Stretch limousines are the choice for wedding parties, milestone birthdays, bachelorette wine loops on Old Mission, and anyone who wants the arrival at the venue to feel like an event in itself.
Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)
High roof Sprinter vans carry extended families, small corporate teams, and tasting groups with room to stand, plus a rear cargo area for coolers, cases of wine, and sports gear.
Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)
Party buses bring perimeter seating, sound systems, and LED lighting to brewery crawls, Cherry Festival weekends, and group outings to Turtle Creek Casino.
Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)
Mini coaches move conference attendees between TVC and the Grand Traverse Resort, church and school groups to Interlochen, and tour parties along the Sleeping Bear Dunes scenic drive.
Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)
Full size coaches with restrooms and luggage bays serve large weddings, athletic teams, and multi day corporate retreats that need a single vehicle for every leg of the trip.

History and Regional Importance
Scheduled flights have served Traverse City since 1936, when the original Traverse City Airport opened to replace the older Ransom Field. A decade later the field moved onto the grounds of a naval air station that had opened in 1946, and the United States Coast Guard has kept an air station on the property ever since. The current terminal opened in October 2004 on the south side of the main runway, and in 2022 the Northwest Regional Airport Authority took over ownership from Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties. Today TVC ranks as the third busiest airport in Michigan behind Detroit and Grand Rapids.
The name honors the orchards that surround the bay. Northwest Michigan grows roughly three quarters of the nation’s tart cherries, an industry organized under a federal tart cherry marketing order administered by the USDA, and the National Cherry Festival each July fills every flight into TVC.
Airlines Serving TVC
Six carriers operate at Cherry Capital Airport in 2026: American Airlines and American Eagle, Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection, United Airlines and United Express, Allegiant Air, Sun Country Airlines, and JetBlue. Avelo Airlines paused its Traverse City schedule for the 2026 season, trimming the carrier count from seven. Regional partners SkyWest and GoJet fly many of the United and Delta departures.
Domestic Destinations
Chicago O’Hare and Detroit run year round and together account for the majority of TVC traffic. Seasonal nonstop routes expand the map to Denver, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston Intercontinental, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington Reagan and Washington Dulles, Newark, Philadelphia, New York LaGuardia, Boston, Minneapolis St. Paul, Phoenix Mesa, Punta Gorda, St. Pete Clearwater, and Orlando Sanford. In all, the airport markets 17 to 20 nonstop destinations depending on the season.
Terminal Information
TVC operates a single terminal with one concourse and six gates. Ticketing, security, baggage claim, and the rental car counters sit on one level, so the walk from gate to curb rarely takes five minutes. The security checkpoint gained a third lane in 2022, and a hybrid USO lounge serves military travelers.
Gates to the Future Expansion
Crews broke ground on April 24, 2026 on a multi year terminal addition branded TVC: Gates to the Future. The project adds a second concourse with four gates about 600 feet east of the existing one, and the airport expects to open it in 2028. Travelers can follow the build on a live construction camera from the airport website.
Passenger Traffic
Cherry Capital Airport handled a record 935,816 passengers in 2025, a 19 percent jump over the previous record of 787,114 set in 2024 and well above the 700,699 passengers of 2023. Chicago O’Hare is the busiest route with about 189,000 passengers in the twelve months ending May 2026, followed by Detroit near 89,000 and Denver near 32,000.
Parking Overview
All lots are a short walk from the terminal, and the first 15 minutes in any lot are free. Long term parking is 2.75 dollars per hour with a 15 dollar daily maximum, short term parking is 2.75 dollars per half hour with an 18.50 dollar daily maximum, and the economy lot runs 11 dollars per day with a shuttle to the door. EV chargers in the short term lot cost 1 dollar per hour up to 8 dollars per charge, plus the lot fee. Current rates and the lot map are posted on the airport’s parking information page.
Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance
The arrivals curb runs directly in front of the terminal on Fly Don’t Drive, and a free cell phone waiting area sits on the east side of the building for anyone meeting a flight. For curbside service, your chauffeur waits in the cell phone lot while tracking your flight and pulls up the moment you text that your bags are in hand. For inside pickup, the chauffeur holds a name sign at the bottom of the escalator by baggage claim.
Ground Transportation Options
Five rental car companies keep counters in the terminal. The Bay Area Transportation Authority stops at the airport on its Village Loop Route 14 to Acme, runs an on demand Link service across Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties, and launched an early morning pilot in 2025 for weekday flights. Local taxis and rideshare apps operate in town, though availability drops sharply late at night and in the off season. For a guaranteed vehicle at a fixed price, our TVC airport car service is booked in advance with a confirmed chauffeur and plate number sent to your phone.
Tips for Arriving Passengers
Winter Weather and Lake Effect Snow
From December through March, lake effect bands off Lake Michigan can drop several inches in an hour on the airport road and on US 31. Build an extra 30 minutes into any transfer north toward Charlevoix or Petoskey, and let your chauffeur choose the route.
Peak Season Timing
The first week of July, the Film Festival in late July, and color tour weekends in October push the terminal and the lots to capacity. Book ground transportation as soon as flights are ticketed for those dates.
Quick Checklist Before You Land
- Share your flight number so arrival tracking starts the moment you take off.
- Tell us about oversized gear such as skis, bikes, or wine cases so the right vehicle is sent.
- Confirm your meeting point, curbside or baggage claim, in the booking notes.
- Keep your phone on after landing for the chauffeur’s text with the vehicle description.
Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at TVC?
A rideshare request at Cherry Capital Airport is a gamble on how many drivers are awake and nearby, and surge pricing on festival weekends can double a fare to Acme. A prebooked chauffeur removes the guesswork: the car is assigned the day before, the price is locked when you book, the vehicle size matches your group, and the chauffeur already knows the hotel entrance, the winery gate, and the back road around a closed bridge. Union Limousine also carries commercial passenger insurance and keeps every vehicle on a documented maintenance schedule, which matters on a snowy February night when the stakes are higher than a missed reservation.
Reserve Your Cherry Capital Airport Limo Today
Lock in your Traverse City chauffeur before the flights fill up. Union Limousine takes reservations online around the clock and by phone from a live agent, with instant confirmation, free changes up to the day before travel, and a chauffeur assigned to your name. Add a winery loop, a return ride to TVC, or a transfer to Detroit in the same booking and pay one clear rate. Our limo service is ready for your next arrival at Cherry Capital Airport, so reserve now and let the ride to the bay be the easiest part of the trip.
