Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) Airport Limo Service
Families and teams arriving at Evans Terminal ride together in SUVs, Sprinters or coaches through our Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) Limo Service, with meet and greet on every single booking.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) Airport
Flights into Detroit Metro land at one of the two busiest terminals in the Midwest, and the curb outside each one fills within minutes of a bank of Delta arrivals. Our Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) Airport limo service places a chauffeur at the Ground Transportation Center before your bags reach the carousel, with a polished black vehicle waiting in the limo lane and a route already mapped to Downtown Detroit, Dearborn, Ann Arbor, Novi, Troy or any address across the state. DTW is the field we cover most often within our wider Michigan airport limo service, and every pickup here, from a single executive stepping off a late Delta flight to a 50 person team arriving for the auto show at Huntington Place, receives the same flat rate pricing and the same respect for your schedule.
Why Michigan Travelers Choose Our DTW Limo Service?
Union Limousine has run chauffeured transportation since 1997, and the habits built over that time show up in small ways at DTW: a driver who already knows that Spirit lands at Evans Terminal while Air France lands at McNamara, a dispatcher who watches the I-94 construction cameras before sending a car, and billing that never changes because a flight circled Lake Erie for twenty minutes. Here is what sets our limo service apart for Michigan arrivals and departures.
Flight Tracking Matched to Your Delta, Spirit or American Arrival
Every reservation is tied to a flight number. Our team monitors inbound aircraft from the moment they push back at the origin airport, so an early arrival into Concourse A or a weather hold over Toledo moves your pickup time automatically. You never call to reschedule, and you never pay waiting time caused by the airline.
Meet and Greet Inside McNamara and Evans Terminals
Chauffeurs on our chauffeur service standard hold a name sign at baggage claim, help with luggage carts and walk you to the vehicle. For passengers clearing U.S. Customs at McNamara after a Paris, Amsterdam, Seoul or Tokyo flight, the greeter waits at the international arrivals exit on the lower level.
Flat Rates to Every Corner of Michigan
Pricing is quoted in full before you confirm. A sedan to Downtown Detroit, an SUV to Bloomfield Hills or a coach to East Lansing all carry fixed totals that include tolls, airport fees and gratuity if you prefer it that way. The same approach applies to our complete limo service in Michigan, whether the ride begins at DTW or at a hotel in Grand Rapids.
Group Arrivals and Team Travel
Conventions at Huntington Place, Lions home games at Ford Field and corporate meetings at the Ford World Headquarters campus in Dearborn often bring 30, 40 or 50 people through DTW on the same afternoon. We stage Sprinter vans and coaches in the commercial lot and load the whole party in one movement. Larger delegations can pair this page with our Michigan airport charter bus rental for multi day shuttle programs between the airport, the hotel and the venue.
Where We Drive From DTW Across Michigan?
Detroit Metro sits in Romulus, roughly 18 miles southwest of the Renaissance Center, with I-94, I-275 and Merriman Road feeding the terminals. The Pure Michigan guide to Detroit describes the city as the center of automotive history and Motown music, and our chauffeurs cover every neighborhood in it along with the suburbs that ring it. Popular routes from the airport include:
- Downtown Detroit and Midtown: Huntington Place, Ford Field, Comerica Park, Little Caesars Arena, the Fox Theatre, Greektown, MotorCity Casino Hotel and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
- Dearborn: The Henry Ford museum complex, Greenfield Village and the Ford Motor Company offices along Michigan Avenue.
- Ann Arbor: the University of Michigan campus, Michigan Stadium, Michigan Medicine and the downtown hotel district, a 30 minute run west on I-94.
- Oakland County: Troy, Southfield, Novi, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Auburn Hills and the Suburban Collection Showplace.
- Western Wayne and Downriver: Canton, Livonia, Plymouth, Northville, Taylor, Wyandotte and Grosse Ile.
- Longer transfers: Lansing, Flint, Toledo, Grand Rapids and Windsor, Ontario by way of the Detroit Windsor Tunnel or the Ambassador Bridge.
Connections to Other Michigan Airports
Private aviation clients often land at Willow Run (YIP) in Ypsilanti or Oakland County International (PTK) in Waterford and need a car to a commercial departure at DTW. We also run airport transfers between Detroit Metro and Coleman A. Young International (DET), Flint Bishop (FNT), Gerald R. Ford International (GRR) and MBS International in Freeland for passengers whose connections split across two fields.
Our DTW Airport Fleet

History and Importance
Wayne County opened the original field in 1930 as Wayne County Airport, renamed it Detroit Wayne Major Airport in 1947 and adopted the Detroit Metropolitan name in 1958 as American, Northwest and Delta shifted their operations here from Willow Run. Northwest Airlines built DTW into its largest hub from the late 1980s onward, and the 122 gate McNamara Terminal opened in 2002 to anchor that network. When Northwest merged into Delta in 2010, Detroit became Delta's second largest hub worldwide. Since 2002 the airport has been operated by the Wayne County Airport Authority, which also manages Willow Run. Today DTW is the largest airport in Michigan, a major gateway for southeast Michigan, northwest Ohio and the Windsor region, and a consistent top performer in North American customer satisfaction surveys.
Airlines Operating From DTW
Delta Air Lines and its SkyTeam partners dominate the McNamara Terminal, including Air France, KLM and WestJet, along with Delta Connection carriers such as SkyWest and Endeavor. Evans Terminal hosts Spirit Airlines, which has grown into the second largest carrier at the airport, together with American, United, Southwest, JetBlue, Frontier, Alaska, Air Canada and Lufthansa. Altogether, well over a dozen scheduled passenger airlines operate from Detroit Metro.
Domestic Destinations
Nonstop service from DTW reaches roughly 140 destinations across four continents. Within the United States, the heaviest routes include Atlanta, New York (LaGuardia, JFK and Newark), Chicago, Orlando, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Boston, Dallas Fort Worth, Denver, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Seattle, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Washington. Delta's hub structure adds dozens of smaller Midwest and Northeast cities, while Spirit concentrates on Florida, the Carolinas, Texas and the West Coast.
Terminal Information
DTW operates two passenger terminals on opposite sides of the airfield, connected by John Dingell Drive and a free inter terminal shuttle rather than a walkway. The Edward H. McNamara Terminal is the Delta and SkyTeam home, stretching nearly a mile along Concourse A with Concourses B and C reached by an underground tunnel; an Express Tram runs the length of Concourse A and the Westin hotel is attached to the building. The Warren Cleage Evans Terminal, renamed from North Terminal in 2022, houses every other airline in Concourse D. Confirm your terminal before you leave for the airport, since a wrong turn on Dingell Drive costs ten to fifteen minutes.
Passenger Traffic
Detroit Metro handled about 33.4 million passengers in 2025, up around 1.2 percent on the prior year and the strongest total since the record of 36.8 million set in 2019. Summer months routinely exceed 1.5 million passengers, with July the busiest period, while Thanksgiving week and the Christmas holidays push daily counts close to 100,000 travelers. Those peaks are when the taxi line and rideshare lot strain the most, and when a prebooked car earns its keep.
Parking Overview
The McNamara Parking Garage sits directly across from the McNamara Terminal with valet service available, while the Big Blue Deck serves the Evans Terminal through a short covered connection. The Green Lot offers economy parking with frequent free shuttles to the Ground Transportation Centers at both terminals. Most structured parking areas limit vehicle height to seven feet, and the airport encourages prebooking a space online during holiday periods. Travelers who book a chauffeur avoid the daily garage charge entirely.
Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance
Departing passengers are dropped at the upper level ticketing curb of either terminal. Arriving passengers who have booked a car follow the Ground Transportation signs from baggage claim; the airport's own taxi and luxury sedan dispatch guide explains that commercial vehicles load from the Ground Transportation Center on Level 4 at McNamara and from the upper level of the center at Evans.
Meeting Your Chauffeur at McNamara Terminal
Domestic Delta passengers collect bags on the lower level and take the elevators or escalators to Level 4 in the center of the building, where our chauffeur waits beside the vehicle. International arrivals exit Customs on the lower level, where a greeter escorts the party upstairs.
Meeting Your Chauffeur at Evans Terminal
Spirit, American, United, Southwest and other Evans Terminal passengers claim luggage on the ground floor, then ride up to the Ground Transportation Center on the upper level. The commercial loading area is clearly signed and sheltered from the weather.
Curbside Rules at Both Terminals
Terminal curbs are reserved for active loading and unloading only, and Airport Police keep traffic moving during peak hours. Because our vehicles use the designated commercial lanes rather than the public curb, you are never rushed while loading strollers, golf bags or trade show cases.
What Happens When Your Flight Is Delayed
The pickup time shifts with the aircraft. If a Phoenix flight arrives ninety minutes late, the same chauffeur is repositioned and no additional charge appears on your invoice.
Ground Transportation Options
Beyond chauffeured cars, DTW offers taxis and rideshare from the Ground Transportation Centers, a consolidated rental car facility reached by shuttle, hotel courtesy vans and the SMART FAST Michigan bus, which runs along Michigan Avenue to Downtown Detroit from stops at both terminals. Michigan Flyer coaches connect the airport with Ann Arbor and East Lansing several times a day. Each option works, though each also involves queues, shared stops or unpredictable surge pricing.
Tips for Arriving Passengers
- Check live freeway conditions on MDOT's Mi Drive map before scheduling a tight connection; I-94 and I-275 carry heavy construction through 2026.
- Allow extra time between November and March, when lake effect snow slows both the runways and the interstates.
- Text your chauffeur the moment the wheels touch down; the vehicle then moves from the staging lot to the loading zone.
- Keep your terminal in mind when booking a return flight; Delta code shares on partner aircraft may still depart from McNamara.
- Download your airline's app for gate changes, since McNamara's Concourse A is nearly a mile long.
Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at DTW?
A taxi rank at DTW is first come, first served, and a 10 p.m. bank of arrivals can leave a queue of forty people in the cold. Rideshare prices climb sharply during those same windows, and drivers often wait in a remote lot, adding ten minutes before they even reach the terminal. A prebooked chauffeur removes all of that: the price is locked when you reserve, the vehicle is assigned to you alone, the driver is professionally licensed and insured for commercial airport work, and the luggage is handled for you. For executives with a 7 a.m. meeting in Troy or families with sleeping children, that certainty is the whole point.
