What we offer

Kirksville Regional (IRK) Airport Limo Service

Arrive at Kirksville Regional (IRK) Airport with a chauffeur already waiting. Our IRK limo service tracks Contour flights from Chicago and Dallas and delivers you to Truman State, ATSU or any address.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Kirksville Regional (IRK) Airport

Flights into Kirksville Regional Airport touch down four miles south of town on the west side of U.S. Highway 63, and the terminal has no on site taxi stand, no rental counter and no rideshare queue waiting at the curb. Our Kirksville Regional (IRK) Airport limo service solves that gap with a chauffeur who is parked and waiting before your Contour jet rolls to the gate. Union Limousine delivers the same standard of Missouri airport limo service at IRK that travelers expect at Lambert or Kansas City International, scaled for a small northeast Missouri airport where a prebooked ride is the only dependable way out of the building.

The service covers every type of trip that moves through Adair County: medical school candidates arriving for interviews at A.T. Still University, families visiting students at Truman State University, physicians and executives flying in from Chicago or Dallas, and wedding or reunion groups who need a single coach for everyone. Each reservation includes flight tracking, a named chauffeur, a late model vehicle and a confirmed price that does not change when the inbound flight runs late.

Chauffeured IRK Transfers Built Around Northeast Missouri Travel

Kirksville Regional handles roughly twelve commercial departures a week, so each arrival and departure matters. We plan around the published Contour schedule, watch the live flight status, and stage the vehicle outside the new terminal with time to spare. Travelers connecting through Chicago O'Hare or Dallas Fort Worth often arrive after a long day, and the last thing anyone wants is a phone call to a local cab company that may or may not have a driver free at 6:40 in the evening.

Live Flight Tracking for Contour Arrivals from Chicago and Dallas

Every IRK booking is tied to a flight number. The chauffeur receives automatic updates when the inbound jet departs O'Hare or DFW, when it is delayed, and when it is on final approach. Pickup time adjusts to the real arrival, so a weather hold in Chicago never leaves you paying for idle wait time and never leaves you stranded because a driver gave up and left.

Meet and Greet Inside the New Terminal

The terminal that opened in June 2026 has a single arrivals area, which makes meeting a chauffeur simple. Choose curbside pickup and the car will be positioned at the entrance when you walk out with your bags, or request an inside meet and greet and your chauffeur will be standing in the lobby with a name sign. Inside meet and greet is the popular choice for first time visitors to Kirksville, elderly passengers, and anyone traveling with children or several checked bags.

Fixed Pricing Confirmed Before the Trip Begins

Quotes from Union Limousine for IRK transfers are all inclusive. The figure you approve covers the vehicle, the chauffeur, fuel, tolls where applicable, and standard gratuity. There is no surge pricing when the only two flights of the day arrive within hours of each other, and no mileage meter running while the car waits for a late aircraft. Corporate accounts receive monthly invoicing and can add a travel coordinator who books on behalf of visiting staff.

Where We Drive from Kirksville Regional Airport

Most IRK transfers end within fifteen minutes of the terminal. Downtown Kirksville, the Truman State University campus at 100 East Normal Avenue, the A.T. Still University campus on West Jefferson Street, Northeast Regional Medical Center, and the hotels along North Baltimore Street are all a short run up U.S. 63. Our Missouri chauffeur service also reaches the wider region: the Amtrak station in La Plata, Thousand Hills State Park and Forest Lake two miles west of town on Highway 6, Macon, Moberly, Hannibal, Quincy across the river in Illinois, and Ottumwa in southern Iowa.

Longer Transfers to STL, MCI, COU and DSM

Because IRK offers two destinations, many travelers still fly through a larger airport and drive the final leg. We provide direct chauffeured transfers between Kirksville and St. Louis Lambert International (about 192 miles), Kansas City International (about 156 miles), Columbia Regional (about 88 miles) and Des Moines International (about 150 miles). A sedan or SUV turns that drive into productive work time, and a Sprinter van moves an entire admissions committee, athletic team or wedding party in one vehicle with luggage room to spare.

Point to point service is also available for conference days at Truman State, residency interview weekends at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and group outings to Thousand Hills State Park. Hourly chauffeur bookings cover multi stop itineraries where the vehicle stays with you from the first meeting to the final dinner.

Our IRK Airport Limo Fleet

Every vehicle that serves Kirksville Regional is late model, commercially insured and detailed before each trip. Chauffeurs are background checked, trained in airport meet procedures and familiar with the David Hall Trail entrance and the terminal frontage. Capacity figures below refer to passengers with standard luggage.

Executive Vehicles for Individuals and Small Parties

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

Black executive sedans are the standard choice for a single business traveler, a visiting physician or a couple arriving for a campus visit. Leather seating, bottled water and a quiet cabin make the fifteen minute run into Kirksville or the three hour transfer to Lambert equally comfortable. Trunk space fits two large suitcases and two carry on bags.

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Full size SUVs carry up to six passengers with room for a family's checked bags, golf clubs for a round at Kirksville Country Club, or sample cases for a sales team. They are also the preferred vehicle in winter, when northeast Missouri highways see ice and snow and all wheel drive matters on the drive north from Macon.

Celebration and Group Vehicles

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Stretch limousines seat eight to twenty depending on the model and are reserved for weddings at Thousand Hills, Truman State homecoming weekends, milestone birthdays and anniversary dinners. Fiber optic lighting, premium sound and a stocked bar area are standard. Many couples book a stretch to collect out of town guests from IRK and deliver them to the rehearsal dinner in one memorable arrival.

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

Mercedes Sprinter vans are the workhorse of group airport transfers at IRK. High roof cabins let passengers stand and move, rear luggage bays swallow fourteen full size suitcases, and optional executive layouts add leather captain's chairs, USB power and a center aisle. They suit visiting faculty groups, athletic teams flying through O'Hare, and extended families arriving for graduation.

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Party buses carry up to thirty guests with perimeter seating, LED lighting, dance floor space and sound systems. Book one for a bachelor or bachelorette weekend based at a Forest Lake cabin, a brewery tour, or a wedding shuttle that loops between the ceremony site, the reception venue and the hotels on North Baltimore Street.

Charter Coaches for Larger Groups

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mini coaches seat up to thirty five with underfloor or rear luggage storage, reclining seats and climate control. They are the right size for a university admissions event that flies candidates into IRK over a single weekend, a corporate retreat at a lodge near Kirksville, or a church group heading to a conference in Columbia or Des Moines.

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Full size motor coaches carry up to fifty six passengers with restrooms, overhead storage, Wi Fi and full luggage bays. Use one for a Truman State alumni weekend, a regional sports tournament, or a multi day tour that begins at Kirksville Regional and continues to St. Louis, Kansas City or Chicago. A single coach replaces a convoy of rental cars and keeps the whole group on one schedule.

Who Books Limo Service at Kirksville Regional Airport?

The passenger mix at IRK is unusual for an airport of its size. Two universities, a regional hospital and a steady flow of business visitors keep the Contour flights full, and each group has its own transportation needs. Our Missouri limo service adapts to all of them with the right vehicle and the right level of chauffeur support.

  • Medical and dental school candidates flying in for interviews at A.T. Still University who need a guaranteed ride to campus and back to the terminal on a tight schedule
  • Parents and prospective students visiting Truman State University for campus tours, move in weekends and commencement
  • Visiting physicians, consultants and corporate guests of Kirksville employers who expect executive sedan service on arrival
  • Wedding parties and reunion groups collecting guests from IRK, La Plata and larger airports in a single Sprinter van or coach
  • Patients and families traveling to Northeast Regional Medical Center who want door to door assistance with mobility and luggage
  • Travelers connecting between IRK and St. Louis, Kansas City, Columbia or Des Moines when the Contour schedule does not fit their itinerary

Group travel is a specialty. Our Missouri airport Sprinter van service moves up to fourteen passengers with luggage from the IRK curb to any hotel, campus or venue in the region, and the coach division scales the same door to door model up to fifty six seats.

Airport Quick Facts

Brief History and Importance of the Airport

Aviation in Kirksville began in 1924, when local pilot Roy "Cap" Dodson opened a small field on the north edge of town. In 1930 the federal government built an emergency landing strip known as Intermediate Field, Site 12, on the Kansas City to Chicago airway at the site of today's airport. That strip earned an unexpected place in national history in May 1935, when a TWA DC 2 attempting to reach it crashed nearby, killing U.S. Senator Bronson Cutting of New Mexico. The resulting Congressional inquiry helped bring about the Civil Aeronautics Authority in 1938, the forerunner of today's FAA.

During the Second World War the field trained between 1,800 and 2,000 pilots through the Civilian Pilot Training Program, gaining a paved runway, hangars and a control tower in 1942. Ozark Air Lines brought scheduled service on October 1, 1960, and a voter approved bond in November 1967 funded a 6,000 foot concrete runway and a new terminal. The airport was renamed Clarence Cannon Memorial Airport in honor of the Missouri congressman who secured much of that funding, then became Kirksville Regional Airport in 1984.

The airport's importance today rests on the institutions it serves. Kirksville is home to A.T. Still University, founded in 1892 as the world's first school of osteopathic medicine, and to Truman State University, Missouri's public liberal arts university. Both draw thousands of candidates, faculty and visitors each year, and IRK gives them a direct air link to Chicago and Dallas that would otherwise mean a three to four hour drive from Lambert or Kansas City International.

Airlines Operating from IRK

Contour Airlines is the sole scheduled carrier at Kirksville Regional, operating under a federal subsidy program for small community air service. Contour replaced Cape Air in 2023 and introduced the first scheduled jet service in the airport's history. On June 12, 2026 the U.S. Department of Transportation renewed Contour's contract at Kirksville through July 31, 2029. Flights use Embraer 135 and 145 and Bombardier CRJ regional jets configured with a small number of seats, which means short boarding lines and quick baggage delivery. Contour holds interline agreements with American Airlines, United Airlines, JetBlue and Alaska Airlines, so passengers can book connecting itineraries on a single ticket and check bags through to their final destination.

Domestic Destinations

IRK offers nonstop service to two major hubs. Chicago O'Hare International Airport receives seven flights a week, with a 9:20 am departure daily and an additional 2:10 pm departure on most weekdays; flights arrive at O'Hare's Terminal 3. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport joined the schedule on August 1, 2026 with five weekly round trips, departing Kirksville at 5:10 pm and arriving in Dallas at 7:15 pm. Through O'Hare and DFW, Kirksville passengers can connect to nearly every major city in North America and to international destinations on partner carriers. Schedules are subject to change, so confirm times with Contour before booking a chauffeur.

Terminal Information

Kirksville Regional opened a brand new terminal on June 25, 2026, replacing the Clarence Cannon Memorial Terminal that had served since the late 1960s. The new building covers about 6,500 square feet, nearly twice the passenger area of the old 3,000 square foot facility, and was built with roughly $3 million in federal terminal funding after a groundbreaking on March 17, 2025. It houses the Contour ticket counter, TSA screening, a single gate, restrooms and a bright waiting area with views of the apron. The terminal is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays and from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekends. General aviation and corporate jets use the separate FBO area, which offers full service fueling on the 6,005 foot main runway with an instrument landing system.

Passenger Traffic

The airport is classified by the FAA as a regional facility with non primary commercial service, a category covering airports with 2,500 to 10,000 annual boardings. Kirksville recorded 5,611 enplanements in 2024, a rise of 31 percent over the previous year and the highest total in recent history, followed by 5,375 in 2025. Combined arriving and departing passengers reached about 11,480 in 2024. Aircraft operations run close to 5,900 a year, split between general aviation, airline flights and air taxi traffic, and about twenty aircraft are based on the field. The addition of Dallas service in August 2026 is expected to push passenger numbers higher again.

Parking Overview

Parking at Kirksville Regional is free. The surface lot sits directly in front of the terminal, is well lit, and is patrolled regularly by the Kirksville Police Department. There are no garages, no shuttle lots and no reservation systems to manage, which keeps the airport simple for locals who leave a car for a few days. Visitors who prefer to arrive without a vehicle can find the full picture of local lodging, rental cars and transportation through the Kirksville Tourism Office, which lists every option for reaching town. For anyone flying in from out of state, a prebooked chauffeur removes the need to rent a car for a two day visit.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

Access to the airport is from U.S. Highway 63: turn west onto David Hall Trail at Millard and follow it to the terminal. Drop off is at the curb directly outside the terminal entrance, where passengers can unload bags a few steps from the Contour counter. For departures, we recommend arriving 60 to 75 minutes before the scheduled flight, which allows time for check in and TSA screening at a single checkpoint. For arrivals, our chauffeur will either wait curbside in the designated pickup area or meet you inside the lobby with a name sign, depending on the option chosen at booking. Because the terminal is compact, there is never confusion about which door to use.

Ground Transportation Options

Ground transportation at IRK is limited, which is the main reason visitors reserve in advance. There is no rental car counter at the terminal; Enterprise operates an off site branch on South Franklin Street in Kirksville and can arrange delivery by appointment. Public transit is provided by Kirk Tran, a demand response bus system operated by OATS Transit that runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm within a fifteen mile radius of downtown and requires rides to be booked ahead. A handful of local taxi and shuttle companies serve the area by phone, and rideshare availability is sporadic. The Amtrak Southwest Chief stops daily at La Plata, about twelve miles south of the airport. A chauffeured car reserved through us is the only option that guarantees a vehicle at the curb at the exact moment your flight arrives.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Book ground transportation before you fly. The airport has no taxi rank, and most local operators do not maintain a driver on standby at the terminal.
  • Baggage from the small Contour jets is delivered quickly, so expect to be outside within ten minutes of landing and have your chauffeur ready at that time.
  • Cell coverage at the airport is good; share your flight number with us so the chauffeur can track the aircraft independently.
  • If you are visiting Truman State University, the campus is about ten minutes north on U.S. 63 and weekday visitor parking passes are issued at the Ruth W. Towne Museum and Visitors Center on South Franklin Street.
  • Winter arrivals should allow extra time for the drive; northeast Missouri highways can be icy from December through February, and our SUVs are the preferred vehicle in those months.
  • Hotels cluster along North Baltimore Street and near the U.S. 63 interchange, roughly ten to fifteen minutes from the terminal by car.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Is the Smart Choice at IRK?

At a large hub, taxis and rideshare apps compete for your business the moment you exit. At Kirksville Regional, the equation is reversed. Flights arrive in the early afternoon and early evening, the terminal is four miles outside town, and the number of drivers available at any given moment is small. A reservation with Union Limousine means a specific chauffeur, a specific vehicle and a confirmed price assigned to your flight days in advance. Delays are handled automatically, luggage help is included, and the same chauffeur can return you to the terminal for a 9:20 am departure without a second round of phone calls. For medical interview candidates, visiting executives and families on a schedule, that certainty is the difference between a smooth visit and a stressful one.

Reserve Your Kirksville Regional Airport Limo Today
