Stretch Limo Service to and from Helena Regional (HLN) Airport

Flights into Montana's capital city deserve a welcome that matches the setting. Our Helena Regional (HLN) Airport limo service places a professional chauffeur at the terminal before your aircraft reaches the gate, tracks your flight in real time, and carries you to any address in Helena, East Helena, Montana City, or the wider Lewis and Clark County area in a spotless vehicle. As part of our Montana airport limo service network, the HLN program covers executive sedans for government and legislative travel, SUVs for families headed to Canyon Ferry Lake, and full coaches for conference groups arriving for sessions at the Capitol. Every reservation is confirmed in writing, priced in advance, and handled by a chauffeur who knows the Mercer Loop terminal layout and the quickest routes along Interstate 15 and Custer Avenue.

Chauffeured Arrivals and Departures at Montana's Capital City Airport

Helena Regional sits inside the city limits, just east of the Interstate 15 Cedar Street exit and roughly three miles from the Capitol complex. That closeness is a gift when your chauffeur is already waiting, and a frustration when you are standing at the curb refreshing a rideshare app with no driver in range. Union Limousine removes that uncertainty. Our dispatch team watches the Alaska, Delta, and United arrival boards, adjusts pickup times when a Denver connection runs late, and keeps the vehicle ready for the moment you clear baggage claim. Departing passengers get the same attention: we schedule the pickup around the airport's recommended 90 minute check in window and build in a cushion for winter road conditions on Montana Avenue and Custer Avenue.

Who Books HLN Limo Service in Montana, MT?

  • Legislators, lobbyists, and agency staff traveling for sessions and hearings at the Montana State Capitol
  • Executives visiting Fort Harrison, St. Peter's Health, Carroll College, and state agency headquarters across Helena
  • Wedding parties and reunion groups meeting at Great Northern Town Center or heading up the hill to Marysville
  • Hunting, fishing, and lake outfitters collecting guests bound for Canyon Ferry, Hauser, and Holter lakes
  • Convention delegates and trade associations booked at the Helena Civic Center or the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds
  • Families connecting through Salt Lake City, Denver, or Seattle who want a calm final leg home

Service Coverage Around Helena and Lewis and Clark County

Our Montana limo service reaches well past the Helena valley. Chauffeurs regularly drive HLN arrivals south to Montana City, Clancy, Jefferson City, and Boulder along Interstate 15, east to Townsend and the Canyon Ferry shoreline on US 12 and US 287, and northwest to Lincoln and the Blackfoot Valley on Highway 200. Longer transfers to Butte, Great Falls, Bozeman, and Missoula are quoted as flat rate point to point trips, which many travelers prefer when the HLN schedule lines up well with their itinerary and a connection through Bozeman Yellowstone International does not. Travelers who need a dedicated driver for a full day of meetings can combine the airport transfer with hourly Montana chauffeur service and keep one vehicle from arrival to departure. Groups of ten or more who want everyone together can move up to Montana airport Sprinter van service and still enjoy the same chauffeured experience.

Helena Regional (HLN) Airport Information

Brief History and Importance of Helena Regional Airport

Aviation in Helena dates to the 1920s, and the first passenger terminal rose on the south side of the field in 1938 as a Works Progress Administration project that cost about $60,000. The airfield's long partnership with the military began in the 1930s and continues today through the Montana Army National Guard's Army Aviation Support Facility on the grounds. A 1975 master plan moved the passenger terminal to its present site on the north side of the airfield, and the current building opened at 2850 Mercer Loop in 1978. A $9.2 million remodel finished in 2005 added inline baggage screening, extra boarding space, and a second jet bridge, and new gates were completed in 2020. The airport is owned and operated by the Helena Regional Airport Authority, created in 1993 by the City of Helena and Lewis and Clark County as a self sustaining body that takes no local tax dollars. Today the campus spans about 1,400 acres with a 9,000 foot main runway that handles everything from regional jets to heavy military transports, and it serves as the primary commercial gateway for state government, Carroll College, and much of southwestern Montana.

Airlines Operating from HLN

Three carriers serve Helena Regional with scheduled passenger flights. Alaska Airlines flies the Seattle route, while the Delta Connection and United Express flights are both operated by SkyWest Airlines under contract. Airport leadership has said that 2026 outbound seat capacity should climb from about 125,000 to just over 136,000, the highest in the airport's history, as airlines retire 50 seat regional jets in favor of 76 seat aircraft. Alpine Air Express also runs cargo flights linking Helena with Billings, Kalispell, and Butte.

Domestic Destinations

  • Seattle/Tacoma (SEA) with Alaska Airlines, the gateway to the Pacific Northwest and transpacific connections
  • Salt Lake City (SLC) with Delta Connection, the busiest HLN route with about 41,600 passengers in 2025
  • Denver (DEN) with United Express, up to three daily departures in peak season and the longest nonstop at roughly 593 miles
  • Airport officials continue to court Minneapolis, Chicago, and Dallas service as the next growth targets

Terminal Information

Helena Regional operates a single passenger terminal with ticketing, security, and baggage claim on one easy level. The building is open from 4:00 am to 12:30 am daily, and the TSA checkpoint opens at 4:30 am and closes after the last outbound departure. Five rental car counters sit directly across from baggage claim, an ATM is on the main level, free wireless internet covers the entire terminal, and The Retreat Kitchen and Bar serves the public daily from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. A pet relief area is marked near the short term lot east of the building, and a gate pass for assisting a traveler can be requested at the airline counter with photo identification. Global Entry enrollment interviews are available in Helena on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Passenger Traffic

HLN handled 203,247 total passengers in 2025, a 1.8 percent gain on the 201,759 recorded in 2024, which itself was a 13 percent jump over 2023. Outbound boardings reached about 101,800 in 2025. The all time record of roughly 237,000 passengers came in 2019, and five daily outbound flights plus the added seat capacity position the airport to approach that mark again. Roughly 33,000 aircraft operations a year include general aviation, military, air taxi, and airline movements.

Parking Overview

  • Short term lot directly east of the terminal: free for up to two hours, meant for pickups, drop offs, and restaurant guests; overstays draw a $25 daily citation and possible towing
  • Long term lot directly north of the terminal: $7 per calendar day, free under two hours, paid by credit or debit card at exit kiosks or the pay on foot station in baggage claim
  • Annual long term permits are available for $700 through the airport office at +1 406 442 2821, option 1
  • Curbside lanes in front of the terminal are for active loading only, and vehicles must stay attended at all times

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

The curb in front of the terminal doors handles both arrivals and departures, with federal rules requiring every vehicle to stay attended. Our chauffeurs wait inside baggage claim with a name sign, then bring the vehicle to the curb once your bags are in hand, which avoids the circling that family members in personal cars have to do. For departures we drop you at the curb nearest your airline's counter: Alaska Airlines handles its own check in while SkyWest staff run the Delta and United desks. Allow 90 minutes before departure, up to two hours during Thanksgiving and Christmas travel, and remember that the terminal address for navigation is 2850 Mercer Lp, Helena, MT 59602, reached from Interstate 15 exits 193 and 194.

Ground Transportation Options

Beyond private chauffeured cars, HLN offers Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National rental counters in the terminal, a local taxi operator with a current airport user agreement, hotel shuttles from nearby properties such as the Great Northern Hotel, and app based Uber and Lyft pickups when drivers are available in the area. Public transit is limited: the City of Helena's Capital Transit runs an app scheduled curb to curb service within city limits from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays only, with no weekend coverage and no fixed route stop at the terminal. Greyhound and FlixBus stop in Helena on infrequent schedules. For anyone arriving on a late Seattle flight or on a Saturday, a prebooked chauffeur is the one option that guarantees a vehicle.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Confirm your chauffeur's name and vehicle in the text you receive on landing, then head straight to baggage claim where the name sign will be waiting
  • Pack a warm layer in your carry on from October through April, because the walk from the curb can be brisk at 3,877 feet of elevation
  • The Visit Helena guide lists the Last Chance Trolley, bike rentals, and walking routes once you reach downtown
  • Give yourself an hour at the new Montana Heritage Center, the state history museum across from the Capitol that opened in December 2025 with free admission
  • Hunters and anglers should tell us about rifle cases, coolers, or rod tubes so we assign an SUV or Sprinter with the right cargo space
  • The short drive means most downtown hotels are reachable within 15 minutes of leaving the terminal

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at HLN?

Helena is a small market with a small driver pool. Rideshare coverage thins out after the evening arrivals bank, and a single taxi company carries the load for the entire valley. A prebooked chauffeur is confirmed days ahead, priced before you fly, and tied to your flight number so a weather delay out of Denver simply shifts the pickup time. Union Limousine vehicles are inspected, our chauffeurs are vetted, and the meet and greet inside baggage claim means no walking to a curbside pin or guessing which gray sedan is yours. For corporate accounts the invoice arrives itemized with trip details, which simplifies state travel reimbursement. The result is a quieter, warmer, and fully predictable start to every Helena visit.

Chauffeurs are positioned at the terminal at least 15 minutes before the scheduled arrival time of your flight. Because we track the inbound aircraft, a delayed Denver or Salt Lake City connection moves the pickup automatically and you are never charged for waiting caused by the airline.

Your chauffeur waits in the baggage claim area on the main level holding a sign with your name or company name. Once your bags arrive, the vehicle is brought to the curb in front of the terminal doors so you walk only a few steps outside.

Yes. Every airport reservation is tied to a flight number, and our dispatch team monitors Alaska, Delta Connection, and United Express arrivals in real time. Early arrivals and late arrivals are both handled without a phone call from you.

Absolutely. Intercity transfers from Helena Regional to Bozeman, Great Falls, Butte, Missoula, and Billings are quoted as flat rate trips. Many travelers use this option when HLN flight times suit them better and they still need to reach another Montana city the same day.

Stretch limousines seating up to 20 guests can meet wedding parties at the terminal and continue to venues in Helena, Marysville, Canyon Ferry, or Montana City. Decorations, a red carpet welcome, and a champagne toast can be arranged in advance.

Transfers between Helena Regional and downtown Helena, the Capitol complex, or the Great Northern Town Center are priced as flat rates that depend on vehicle type. The quote you receive includes the chauffeur, airport meet and greet, and all tolls and fees, with no surge pricing.

Our SUVs and Sprinter vans run all wheel drive and winter tires from October through April, and every chauffeur is experienced with snow and ice on Interstate 15, Custer Avenue, and the Mercer Loop access road. Pickup times are padded on storm days so you still reach the terminal 90 minutes before departure.

Yes. Our 14 passenger Sprinter vans are a popular choice for delegations, agency teams, and lobbying groups flying in for sessions. Captain's chairs, charging ports, and a rear luggage bay keep everyone comfortable on the drive to the Capitol.

A sedan carries up to three passengers with three full size checked bags and carry ons. A luxury SUV carries up to six passengers with six checked bags. Tell us about rifle cases, rod tubes, or coolers and we will assign a vehicle with the right cargo space.

Late evening arrivals are covered every day of the week, including weekends and holidays when public transit in Helena does not run. The reservation desk operates around the clock, so a same night change can be confirmed by phone.
