What we offer

Alliance Municipal (AIA) Airport Limo Service

Rail crews, ranch buyers and Carhenge road trippers count on our Alliance Municipal (AIA) Airport limo service for fixed quotes, statewide coverage, and vehicles scaled from sedans to 56 seat coaches.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Alliance Municipal (AIA) Airport

Flights into the Nebraska Panhandle finish on a quiet ramp three miles southeast of Alliance, and the question that follows every arrival is how to cover the ground that comes next. Our Alliance Municipal (AIA) Airport limo service answers it with a chauffeur already parked outside the terminal door when the Metroliner from Denver taxis in. Union Limousine runs this Nebraska airport limo service for Box Butte County residents heading out, rail and ranch visitors heading in, and anyone whose itinerary touches Alliance, Hemingford, Chadron, Scottsbluff or the long road north toward the Black Hills.

Why Travelers Reserve an Alliance Airport Limo Before They Fly?

AIA is a small field with a single terminal, one airline and no commercial ground transportation waiting at the curb. There is no taxi stand, no rideshare queue and no national rental counter inside the building. The city's on demand transit bus runs on weekday business hours and needs a reservation. For a passenger stepping off an evening flight from Denver, that leaves one dependable option: a chauffeur who was booked days earlier and knows the flight number.

We track every Denver Air Connection arrival, adjust pickup times when the schedule shifts, and quote the full fare in advance so there are no surprises at the end of a long travel day. Chauffeurs in this part of Nebraska know the Highway 385 and Highway 2 corridors in every season, including the winter weeks when the Panhandle wind makes the drive to Chadron or Scottsbluff a job for an experienced driver with a heavy vehicle.

  • Flight monitoring for every AIA arrival, with pickup times moved automatically when Denver runs late
  • Terminal meet and greet with a name sign, bag assistance and a short walk to the waiting vehicle
  • Flat quotes that include fuel, gratuity options and waiting time tied to the actual flight
  • Chauffeurs based in western Nebraska who drive the Panhandle highways year round
  • Vehicles sized from a single executive sedan to a full size coach for crews and groups

Alliance Municipal (AIA) Airport Limo Service Options

Most AIA bookings fall into a handful of patterns, and we have a vehicle and a routine ready for each one.

  • Arrivals: a chauffeur inside the terminal before the Denver flight parks, then a direct run to homes, hotels, the BNSF yard offices or Box Butte General Hospital
  • Departures: early morning pickups across Alliance and Hemingford timed for the 6:45 a.m. Denver departure, with the vehicle warmed and loaded before sunrise
  • Road transfers to Denver International: a four hour chauffeured drive on the days weather or a schedule change makes the flight impractical
  • Business travel for the railroad, agriculture, energy and health care employers that keep Alliance moving
  • Leisure trips built around Carhenge, the Knight Museum and Sandhills Center, Chadron State Park and the Pine Ridge country to the north
  • Hunting parties, wedding guests and family reunions who need gear space, extra seats and one driver for the whole weekend

Our Nebraska Fleet for AIA Arrivals and Departures

Every vehicle in the Alliance rotation is chosen for Panhandle conditions: long straight highways, sudden weather and passengers who often travel with coolers, rifles in cases, saddles or sample bags. Capacity figures below are passenger counts with luggage.

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

A black executive sedan is the standard choice for a single traveler or a couple flying in for a hospital visit, a rail yard meeting or a weekend at home. Leather seating, a quiet cabin and trunk space for two full size bags make it the right fit for the short run into Alliance or the longer stretch to Chadron.

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Full size SUVs carry up to six passengers with room for hard sided luggage and winter gear. They are the vehicle we recommend from November through March, when four wheel drive and extra ground clearance matter on Highway 385 and the county roads around Hemingford and Berea.

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Stretch limousines handle wedding parties, milestone birthdays and anniversary surprises that start the moment the Denver flight arrives. Smaller stretches seat eight to ten, while the largest models carry up to twenty guests with a bar area, mood lighting and a sound system for the ride into town or out to a ranch venue.

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

High roof Sprinter vans are the workhorse of Panhandle group travel. Fourteen passengers ride upright with a center aisle, individual seats and a rear cargo bay for duffels and equipment. Rail crews, survey teams, visiting medical staff and church groups use them for AIA transfers and for day trips to Fort Robinson, Toadstool Geologic Park and the Wildcat Hills.

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Party buses move up to thirty guests in a lounge style cabin with perimeter seating, lighting and premium audio. Bachelor and bachelorette weekends that fly into Alliance, Box Butte County Fair outings and Heritage Days celebrations are typical bookings, with pickups timed to the flight and drop offs wherever the evening ends.

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mini coaches seat up to thirty five with underfloor luggage bays, climate control and reclining seats. Sports teams arriving for tournaments at Alliance High School, agricultural tour groups and corporate retreats bound for the Sandhills all travel comfortably without splitting into multiple vehicles.

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Full size motorcoaches carry up to fifty six passengers with restrooms, overhead storage, power outlets and large luggage compartments. They serve multi day itineraries that begin at AIA and continue to Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Scotts Bluff National Monument or the Nebraska National Forest, with one professional driver for the entire trip.

Service Area Across Nebraska, NE

Alliance sits where the Sandhills meet the high plains, which puts a surprising amount of the state within a chauffeured drive of the airport. Our Nebraska limo service covers the Panhandle in depth and reaches every corner of the state on request.

Alliance and Box Butte County

Inside the city we cover the downtown district along Box Butte Avenue, the hotels near Highway 385 and 3rd Street, Box Butte General Hospital, Western Nebraska Community College's Alliance campus and the residential neighborhoods on both sides of the rail yard. Hemingford, Berea and the farms and ranches scattered across the county are all regular pickup points.

The Wider Panhandle

Chadron, Crawford, Hay Springs, Rushville, Bridgeport, Bayard, Gering and Scottsbluff are all within ninety minutes of AIA. Groups that need more seats for a Panhandle itinerary can reserve our Nebraska Sprinter van service for the same chauffeur and the same airport meet and greet with room for fourteen.

Long Distance Transfers

Denver International is roughly four hours by road, Rapid City is under three, and North Platte, Kearney, Lincoln and Omaha are reachable in a single chauffeured day. Large delegations, trade groups and tour operators arriving through AIA can also book our Nebraska airport charter bus service for coach transfers that connect the Panhandle with the rest of the state.

Alliance Municipal (AIA) Airport Information

Knowing the airport before you arrive makes the handoff to your chauffeur quicker. Here is the picture at AIA as Union Limousine chauffeurs see it in late 2026.

Brief History and Importance of the Airport

Alliance Municipal Airport began life as Alliance Army Airfield, authorized by the Secretary of War on April 14, 1942 and built in little over a year by a workforce of 5,000 that nearly doubled the town's population. The field was dedicated on August 22, 1943 before a crowd of roughly 65,000 and became one of eleven Army Air Forces training fields in Nebraska. As many as 14,000 paratroopers and glider troops trained here, with twin engine transports towing Waco gliders over the Sandhills, which planners believed offered softer landings than wooded terrain. Superfortress bomber crews trained on the field in 1944, and the Army deactivated it on October 31, 1945.

The City of Alliance took formal ownership on July 16, 1953, and the former base became the civilian airport that serves Box Butte County today. Western Airlines propliners stopped here in the late 1940s, Frontier flew Twin Otters from 1959 until 1980, and Great Lakes Airlines and Boutique Air carried passengers through the 2000s and 2010s. The airport covers about 3,500 acres at an elevation of 3,931 feet and keeps three paved runways, the longest of which, Runway 12/30, stretches 9,203 feet, a legacy of the wartime glider operations. Many of the original Army buildings remain in use, and the field hosts five hangars with over fifty based aircraft alongside the daily airline flights.

Airlines Operating from AIA

Denver Air Connection, the scheduled passenger brand of Key Lime Air, is the only airline at Alliance. It began serving the city on June 1, 2019 under the federal EAS program, which supports air links for small communities, and in late August 2025 the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded it a new four year contract that started September 1, 2025. The airline flies nine seat Fairchild Metroliner 23 turboprops and holds interline agreements with United, American and Delta, so a passenger can book a single ticket from Alliance through Denver to almost any city in the country with bags checked through.

Domestic Destinations

Every scheduled flight from AIA goes to Denver International Airport (DEN), about one hour in the air. Under the current contract the airline operates twelve round trips a week for part of the year and fourteen during the busier months, and since October 2025 Alliance has had two daily options to and from Denver on most days. The typical pattern is an early morning departure around 6:45 a.m. with a midday or evening return, and the schedule is published on the airport's website and on the airline's booking site. Both Alliance and Denver are on Mountain Time, so there is no clock change on the hop.

Terminal Information

AIA has one single story terminal building at 5631 Sarpy Road. Inside are the Denver Air Connection check in counter, a passenger waiting area, restrooms and the airport manager's office, which keeps weekday hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Security screening for the nine seat Metroliner is handled at the gate before boarding, and passengers walk across the ramp to the aircraft. Heartland Aviation operates the fixed base operation for general aviation, charter and fuel on the same field. The whole process from terminal door to seat usually takes a few minutes, so arriving forty five minutes before departure is comfortable.

Passenger Traffic

Alliance is a low volume commercial airport by design. Federal counts show 2,921 passenger boardings in 2018, and the airline carried about 4,000 passengers on the Denver route between April 2021 and March 2022. Total aircraft movements run close to 13,700 a year, around ninety percent of them general aviation, with the remainder airline, air taxi and military flights. For chauffeured passengers that volume means an empty curb, no baggage carousel crowds and a chauffeur who can see you the moment you walk out of the gate area.

Parking Overview

Parking sits in a surface lot directly in front of the terminal, a short walk from the entrance. As at the other small airports in the federal EAS program across Nebraska, the airport does not publish a daily parking rate, and travelers leaving a car for a Denver trip can confirm current arrangements with the manager's office at +1 308 762 4512. There is no garage, no covered parking and no shuttle, which is one reason many Box Butte County residents choose a chauffeured pickup at home over leaving a vehicle outside through a Panhandle winter.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

The terminal curb is a single lane directly outside the entrance doors, and private vehicles can stop briefly to load or unload. Our chauffeurs wait inside the terminal with a name sign for arrivals, then bring the vehicle to the curb once bags are in hand. For departures we pull up at the same curb, help with luggage and stay until the check in counter confirms the flight is on time. Because the airport is three miles from the city center along Sarpy Road, allow about ten minutes from downtown Alliance and a little longer from Hemingford.

Ground Transportation Options

Public ground transportation at AIA is limited to two services. Alliance Public Transit runs an on demand bus that serves the airport for a flat fare with an advance reservation, operating weekday hours only and closed on weekends and holidays, which means evening and Saturday arrivals have no public ride into town. Panhandle Trails provides intercity bus connections from a base in Alliance for travelers heading across the region. No taxi company operates in the city, rideshare apps rarely show an available driver, and the terminal has no national car rental desk, so a local rental must be arranged ahead of time by phone.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Book ground transportation before you fly; the airport has no taxi queue and the transit bus does not run evenings or weekends
  • Pack for weather on the ramp walk: Alliance sits at nearly 4,000 feet and winter wind chills are sharp between the aircraft and the terminal
  • Pick up a Panhandle itinerary from the Alliance Visitors Bureau if you have a free afternoon; Dobby's Frontier Town and the Sallows Military Museum are minutes from the airport
  • Road trippers connecting to the Black Hills often make Carhenge their first stop, and it sits just north of town on Highway 87, open dawn to dusk year round with free admission
  • Cell coverage is good around Alliance but fades on rural county roads, so share your pickup details with your chauffeur before boarding in Denver
  • If you are connecting onward by air, check the Denver return times when you land, because the single aircraft serving the route can shift the schedule on heavy weather days

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Makes Sense at AIA?

At a major hub, a taxi or rideshare is usually a few minutes away. At Alliance there is no such fallback. A passenger who arrives on the 8:15 p.m. flight without a ride faces a dark terminal, a closed transit office and a three mile walk toward town. A prebooked chauffeur removes that risk entirely. The vehicle is confirmed days in advance, the fare is fixed, and the chauffeur watches the flight so that a delay in Denver never leaves anyone standing at the curb. Union Limousine also carries the commercial insurance, licensed drivers and winter ready vehicles that a Panhandle transfer demands, which is a level of accountability an app driver two hours away cannot offer.

Inside the single terminal building, just beyond the gate area, holding a sign with your name. Once your bags are collected the vehicle is brought to the curb directly outside the entrance doors.

The airport is about three miles southeast of downtown Alliance along Sarpy Road, roughly a ten minute drive. Hemingford is approximately twenty five minutes to the northwest by Highway 2 and Highway 87.

Yes. The road transfer to Denver International takes about four hours by way of Highway 385 and Interstate 76. We run it as a private sedan, SUV or Sprinter van, with a stop for a meal on request.

Your chauffeur tracks the flight and adjusts the pickup time automatically. Waiting time tied to an airline delay is not charged, and the same vehicle stays assigned to your reservation.

We do. Hemingford, Berea and every farm or ranch address in Box Butte County are regular pickup and drop off points, along with Chadron, Crawford, Bridgeport, Gering and Scottsbluff in the wider Panhandle.

No. Alliance has no taxi company, rideshare drivers are rarely available, and the city transit bus runs weekday business hours by reservation only. A prebooked chauffeur is the dependable option for evening and weekend flights.

A Sprinter van seats up to fourteen with a rear cargo bay for cased rifles, coolers and duffels. Smaller parties of four to six travel well in a full size SUV with four wheel drive for county roads.

Forty eight hours is ideal for sedans and SUVs. Stretch limousines, party buses and coaches for weddings, Heritage Days or county fair weekends should be reserved two to three weeks ahead.

Absolutely. Carhenge is a few minutes north of town, and Chadron State Park is about an hour away. Hourly charters let you keep the chauffeur for a full day of Panhandle sightseeing.

Yes. Infant, convertible and booster seats can be added to any sedan, SUV or Sprinter reservation at no extra charge when requested at booking time.
