Karl Stefan Memorial (OFK) Airport Limo Service
With no airline, taxi stand or rental desk at Karl Stefan Memorial Field, a prearranged limo is the sure way into Norfolk, Wayne, Columbus or Omaha. Sedans to full size coaches, booked by tail number.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Karl Stefan Memorial (OFK) Airport
Norfolk Regional Airport, which most of northeast Nebraska still calls Karl Stefan Memorial Field, sits three miles south of downtown Norfolk on South 13th Street. Corporate flight departments, agricultural operators, medical crews and private owners use the field every day, and every one of those arrivals needs a dependable ride once the propellers stop turning. Our Karl Stefan Memorial (OFK) Airport limo service meets your aircraft at the terminal, loads the bags and carries you anywhere in Norfolk, Madison County or the Elkhorn Valley with a licensed chauffeur at the wheel. It belongs to the Nebraska airport limo service network we operate statewide, so the vehicle standard and the booking desk stay the same for a touchdown in Norfolk, Omaha or Scottsbluff.
OFK has no airline counter, no security checkpoint and no rental desk inside the building. A charter passenger stepping off a King Air at nine in the evening has very few ground options unless a car was arranged before the flight plan was filed. We solve that with a reservation that is confirmed in writing, a chauffeur who tracks your tail number, and a vehicle that is parked at the terminal door with the cabin already warmed or cooled for a Nebraska day.
Why Travelers Choose Union Limousine at OFK?
Private aviation runs on precision, and the ground leg should match it. Our dispatch team watches your inbound flight on live tracking, adjusts for weather holds over the Sandhills, and has the car in position before the aircraft taxis in. If your pilot calls ahead to say the arrival moved up twenty minutes, we move with it. There is no meter running on the curb and no surge pricing when the only taxi in town is busy.
- Flight monitoring for every charter, air ambulance and corporate arrival into OFK
- Chauffeurs who know the South 13th Street corridor, Highway 275 and Highway 81 in every season
- Flat quotes confirmed before travel, with no mileage surprises on long rural runs
- Child seats, extra luggage room and wheelchair accessible vehicles on request
- Account billing for flight departments, hospitals, universities and manufacturers
- Coverage around the clock, including holiday weekends and harvest season
Union Limousine has built its reputation on airport work since 1997, and that experience shows in the details: a name board in the lobby, a bottle of water in the cup holder, and a driver who already knows which hangar your aircraft is parked beside.
Our Fleet for Karl Stefan Memorial (OFK) Airport Transfers
Every vehicle in the fleet is late model, detailed before each run and inspected to a commercial standard. Pick the size that suits your party and your luggage, and we handle the rest.
Executive Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)
A quiet cabin, leather seating and a trunk that swallows two large cases plus carry on bags. Sedans are the standard choice for a single executive flying in to visit the steel mill or a physician arriving for a shift at the regional hospital.
Luxury SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)
Full size SUVs give a family or a small sales team room to stretch out, with space behind the third row for golf bags, sample cases or a week of winter clothing. All wheel drive makes them the sensible pick when snow sits on the county roads between Norfolk and Wayne.
Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)
Wedding parties, anniversary dinners and milestone birthdays book the stretch limousine for the ride from OFK to a reception at a Norfolk venue. Fiber optic lighting, a premium sound system and a stocked bar area turn the trip itself into part of the celebration.
Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)
High roof Sprinter vans carry a full charter load from the ramp to a single destination without splitting anyone into a second car. They work well for athletic teams arriving for a tournament at Northeast Community College and for crews heading out to a wind farm or ethanol plant.
Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)
A party bus keeps a large group together with perimeter seating, lighting and sound built for a good time. Bachelor and bachelorette weekends, reunion tours of downtown Norfolk and brewery runs around the Elkhorn Valley are the usual bookings.
Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)
Mini coaches give conference delegations, church groups and school bands forward facing seats, overhead racks and underfloor luggage bays. They fit the tighter approach roads of smaller venues with ease.
Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)
For a corporate incentive trip, a large wedding or a sports team with equipment, the full size coach offers reclining seats, a restroom, climate control and a cargo bay deep enough for the whole group's gear.
Where We Drive from Norfolk Regional Airport?
Norfolk and Madison County
Most OFK rides end within ten minutes of the terminal. The hotel row along South 13th Street, the downtown district around Norfolk Avenue, the medical campus on the east side and the industrial parks off Highway 275 are all short hops. We also serve the county seat of Madison, the communities of Battle Creek, Tilden and Meadow Grove, and the acreages scattered across the Elkhorn River bottoms.
Northeast Nebraska Communities
Norfolk is the hub for a wide rural region, and the airport is often the closest paved runway for towns an hour away. We regularly run to Wayne and its college campus, to Pierce, Plainview and Osmond to the north, to Stanton, Wisner and West Point along the Elkhorn, to O'Neill and Atkinson in Holt County, and to Columbus and the Platte Valley to the south. Long rural transfers are quoted as a flat rate in advance.
Connections to Omaha, Lincoln and Sioux City
Because no airline serves OFK, many clients use Norfolk as one end of a trip and a commercial airport as the other. We cover Eppley Airfield in Omaha at roughly two hours, Lincoln Airport at a little over two hours, and Sioux Gateway Airport in Sioux City at about ninety minutes, with a single chauffeur for the whole run. The same Nebraska limo service desk arranges a car at the far end if your itinerary continues.
Occasions We Serve Around Norfolk, NE
Corporate and Industrial Travel
Steel, trailer manufacturing, agribusiness and regional banking bring a steady stream of executives, engineers and auditors through OFK on company aircraft. We provide account billing, consistent chauffeurs for repeat visitors and discreet service for site visits that have not been announced.
Medical and Hospital Transfers
Norfolk is the medical center for a large part of northeast Nebraska. Visiting specialists, locum physicians and family members flying in to be near a patient rely on us for calm, punctual transfers between the airport, the hospital campus and nearby hotels. Vehicles with extra legroom and easy entry are available on request.
Weddings, Reunions and Celebrations
A couple flying in for a wedding at a Norfolk venue, or a reunion group gathering from three states, wants the arrival to feel like the start of the celebration. Stretch limousines and party buses handle the ceremony day, and sedans and SUVs cover the airport runs before and after.
College and Campus Events
Northeast Community College in Norfolk and Wayne State College twenty five miles to the north host visiting speakers, athletic opponents, trustees and prospective families. Our Nebraska chauffeur service provides a professional driver for campus tours, commencement weekends and recruiting visits that begin at the OFK ramp.
Group Charters and Team Travel
When a full charter aircraft lands with a team, a board or a tour group, we meet it with a mini coach or full size bus so nobody waits for a second trip. The same Nebraska airport charter bus service handles the return to the field at the end of the visit.
Karl Stefan Memorial (OFK) Airport Information
Brief History and Importance of the Airport
The field opened in April 1940 on land south of the city, and powered flight in Norfolk goes back further still, to barnstormers who landed on the country club fairway in 1912. The administration building that still anchors the terminal area was designed by E. B. Watson and finished in 1946, with an addition in 1977, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1955 the airport was renamed in honor of Karl Stefan, the Czech born newspaper editor, radio voice of WJAG and eight term congressman who championed its wartime improvements. The City of Norfolk transferred day to day control to the Norfolk Airport Authority, which rebranded the facility as Norfolk Regional Airport in March 2011 while keeping Karl Stefan Memorial Field as the formal name of the airfield.
Today the airport covers 926 acres at an elevation of 1,573 feet and serves agricultural spraying operators, air cargo feeders, corporate flight departments and medical flights. A 2019 state study credited the field with 109 jobs, about 13.6 million dollars in annual economic impact and roughly 2,650 visitors a year, placing it fifth among Nebraska's general aviation airports. The authority has programmed a new 5,833 square foot terminal and a 9,500 square foot hangar, a project priced near 8.9 million dollars with federal and infrastructure funding already secured for over half of the cost, and the state aeronautics commission has placed full rehabilitation of both runways and Taxiway Charlie on its upcoming project list.
Airlines Operating from OFK
No scheduled airline flies from Norfolk today. Mid West Airlines brought the first airline flights in 1950 with Cessna 190s, Braniff and then North Central followed in the 1950s, and Republic withdrew in 1982. Great Lakes Aviation operated United Express Beech 1900 flights to Denver and Minneapolis under the federal EAS program until the subsidy ended in May 2004, because Norfolk lies within 210 miles of Eppley Airfield in Omaha. Since then the field has been a general aviation airport, and the traffic you will see on the ramp is corporate, charter, medical and agricultural.
Domestic Destinations
Charter operators flying out of OFK commonly file for Denver, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Chicago, Dallas and Omaha, and air ambulance flights link Norfolk with Omaha, Lincoln and Sioux Falls. For scheduled airline travel, the nearest gates are Eppley Airfield in Omaha with nonstop service to roughly thirty cities, Sioux Gateway Airport in Sioux City with daily flights to Chicago and Denver, and Lincoln Airport with service to Chicago, Denver and seasonal leisure markets. We connect all three with a single chauffeur from the Norfolk ramp.
Terminal Information
The current terminal is a compact 1,500 square foot building operated by Norfolk Airport Services, the fixed base operator. Inside are a passenger lobby, a pilot lounge and a more private lounge area, wireless internet, restrooms and the FBO desk. Liberty Aviation provides maintenance on the field, a JetGo ground power unit is available, hangars can be heated on request, and there are no landing or tie down fees. After hours, the air side door uses a keypad reached through the UNICOM number. The planned replacement terminal adds a conference room, kitchenette and larger lobby alongside a hangar sized for business and agricultural aircraft.
Passenger Traffic
Federal records show 11,434 aircraft operations in the twelve months ending July 2022, about 31 movements a day, split roughly three quarters general aviation, one quarter air taxi and a small military share. Forty three aircraft are based on the field, including six twins and a jet. The last year of airline service, 2004, recorded 672 boardings, and since then passenger counts have come from charter manifests.
Parking Overview
Public parking is a free surface lot in front of the terminal building on South 13th Street. There are no garages, pay stations or shuttle lots, and spaces are rarely full. Aircraft parking is on the ramp by tie down, with hangar storage arranged through the FBO. Because the lot is open and unattended, travelers leaving a car for a week usually prefer a chauffeured drop so the vehicle stays home.
Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance
Our chauffeurs pull directly to the terminal entrance, which faces the parking lot a few steps from the lobby. Arriving passengers walk from the ramp through the FBO building and find the driver holding a name board inside. For departures we drop at the same door and, when the FBO allows, carry luggage to the aircraft side. Provide the tail number and the pilot's mobile number when you book so dispatch can coordinate directly with the crew.
Ground Transportation Options
Options at OFK are thin. The FBO keeps two courtesy cars for short local errands, a local cab company serves Norfolk by phone, and several hotels on South 13th Street run their own shuttles on request. The public system, North Fork Area Transit, offers TeleLift door to door rides that must be reserved a day ahead, plus a weekday flex route between Norfolk and Wayne. Rideshare apps show few or no drivers near the field, and rental counters sit in town, several miles from the field. A prearranged chauffeur is the one option that is guaranteed to be waiting when you walk in from the ramp.
Tips for Arriving Passengers
- Give us your tail number and estimated time of arrival; charter flights change times often and we adjust without a fee
- Norfolk sits in the Central Time Zone, so set watches accordingly after a flight from Denver
- The FBO is staffed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays with shorter weekend hours; after hours access uses the keypad
- Winter arrivals should expect wind on the open ramp; keep a coat within reach in the cabin
- Ask your chauffeur for a short detour past the whitewater park, the Johnny Carson exhibits and the downtown shops listed on Visit Norfolk
- Families visiting a student can combine the airport run with the campus tour schedule published by Northeast Community College
- Carry cash or a card for hangar fuel and FBO services; the terminal has no ATM
Why a Pre Booked Chauffeur Beats a Taxi or Rideshare at OFK?
At a large hub you can usually find a cab within minutes. At a general aviation field in a city of 25,000, the math is different. A single local cab company may have one car out on a hospital run, rideshare drivers rarely sit near the airport, and the courtesy car is meant for quick errands around town. A reservation with Union Limousine removes the gamble: the vehicle is assigned, the chauffeur is tracking your flight, and the price is fixed before wheels up. For visiting executives, patients and wedding guests alike, that certainty is the reason to book ahead.

Plan on about two hours via Highway 275 and the Omaha metro, a little longer in winter or during harvest truck traffic. We quote the trip as a flat rate and a single chauffeur handles the entire run.

Sedans for up to three passengers, SUVs for six, stretch limousines for twenty, Sprinter vans for fourteen, party buses for thirty, mini coaches for thirty five and full size charter buses for fifty six, all with professional drivers.

Book as soon as the charter is confirmed, ideally several days ahead for vans and coaches. Sedans and SUVs can usually be arranged on shorter notice, and we always try to accommodate same day requests.
Yes. The surface lot in front of the terminal is free and unattended. Many travelers prefer a chauffeured drop so the car stays home and nobody walks across an open lot in winter wind.
