What we offer

North Platte Regional Lee Bird Field (LBF) Airport Limo Service

Golf groups, wedding parties, and ranch visitors rely on North Platte Regional Lee Bird Field (LBF) Airport Limo Service for sedans through 56 seat coaches, all staged in the free lot beside the gate.

Stretch Limo Service to and from North Platte Regional Lee Bird Field (LBF) Airport

Flying into Lee Bird Field and need a chauffeur waiting when the SkyWest jet from Denver rolls up to North Platte's new jet bridge? Our Nebraska airport limo service covers every United Express arrival and departure at North Platte Regional Airport (LBF), with a professional driver who tracks the flight, meets you at the terminal canopy, and gets you to Lincoln County, the Sandhills, or anywhere along Interstate 80 in comfort. Union Limousine has built its reputation on punctual airport work, and LBF is a small, quick terminal where a prebooked car turns a ninety minute check in window into a calm start to the trip.

Chauffeured Limo Service at Lee Bird Field for Every Nebraska Itinerary

North Platte sits at the midpoint between Omaha and Denver, which makes LBF the air gateway for a fifteen county region spanning around 14,000 square miles of west central Nebraska. Ranchers, rail industry visitors, golf groups, medical travelers heading to Great Plains Health, and families reuniting for NEBRASKAland Days all pass through the same single gate terminal. We match each of those trips with the right vehicle and a driver who knows the roads from Ogallala to Lexington and from Valentine down to McCook.

Our airport limo service at LBF works in both directions. On arrival, your chauffeur monitors the United Express flight number, adjusts for Denver delays, and parks in the free lot steps from the terminal so there is no circling and no phone tag. On departure, we collect you from your home, hotel, or ranch gate with enough margin to clear the 45 minute bag cutoff, and we can hold golf bags, hunting cases, and oversized luggage in the trunk or cargo area without a second thought.

Why Travelers Across Nebraska Choose Us at LBF?

Lee Bird Field is friendly and fast, but it is also small, and that is exactly where ground transportation can fall apart. Rental counters close early, rideshare drivers are thin on the ground in a city of 23,000, and the city dial a ride bus needs a day of notice. Union Limousine removes the guesswork with a confirmed reservation, a named chauffeur, and flat pricing agreed before you board in Denver. Our Nebraska chauffeur service standards apply on every LBF run: licensed and insured drivers, late model vehicles detailed before each pickup, child seats on request, and a dispatcher reachable around the clock.

  • Live flight tracking on every SkyWest arrival and departure at LBF
  • Meet and greet at the terminal canopy or curbside pickup, your choice
  • Flat rate quotes for North Platte, Lincoln County, and long distance Nebraska transfers
  • Vehicles sized for one executive or a full tour group of 56
  • Early morning coverage for the restored 6:15 a.m. Denver departure

Our Fleet for North Platte Regional Airport Transfers

Every vehicle below is available for LBF pickups and drop offs, with capacity figures that count passengers only, leaving luggage room intact.

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

A black sedan is the standard choice for a lone business traveler flying in for a Union Pacific meeting at Bailey Yard, a physician on rotation at Great Plains Health, or a couple heading to a wedding at the D&N Event Center. Leather seating, bottled water, and a quiet cabin make the short ride from Lee Bird Field into downtown North Platte feel like the first part of the trip that actually went right.

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Full size SUVs carry up to six people with real cargo space, which matters at LBF because so many arriving passengers travel with golf clubs bound for the area courses or hunting gear for a Sandhills season. The extra clearance is also welcome on gravel county roads and during winter weather on Highway 83 north toward Stapleton and Thedford.

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Stretch limousines seat up to 20 and turn an airport pickup into an occasion. They are the usual request for wedding parties flying in through Denver, anniversary surprises, prom night connections, and corporate welcomes when a visiting leadership team lands at North Platte Regional Airport and the company wants the first impression to be a strong one.

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

Executive Sprinter vans hold up to 14 passengers with stand up headroom and rear luggage racks. They fit sports teams flying into LBF for tournaments, extended families arriving for NEBRASKAland Days in June, and company groups moving between the airport, hotels on South Dewey Street, and the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Party buses carry up to 30 guests with perimeter seating, sound systems, and lighting. Bachelor and bachelorette weekends, milestone birthdays, rodeo weekends during the Buffalo Bill PRCA Rodeo, and concert nights all start better when the group leaves LBF together in one vehicle with one driver who handles every stop.

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mini charter buses seat up to 35 with overhead storage and climate control. School groups, church trips, and railroad enthusiast tours arriving at Lee Bird Field for Golden Spike Tower visits use this size for day itineraries that run from the airport to Bailey Yard, Buffalo Bill Ranch, Cody Park, and back to the terminal for an evening flight.

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Full size motor coaches carry up to 56 passengers with underfloor luggage bays, restrooms, and reclining seats. Conventions at the Sandhills Convention Center, agricultural tours across Lincoln and Keith counties, and multi day charters to Lake McConaughy or Fort Robinson begin with a coach staged at the LBF terminal lot, ready to roll as soon as the last bag clears the carousel.

LBF Airport Limo Service Coverage Across Nebraska, NE

Our Nebraska limo service network treats North Platte as a hub for the whole western half of the state. Chauffeurs run LBF transfers to Ogallala and Lake McConaughy, Gothenburg, Cozad, Lexington, Kearney, Broken Bow, Valentine, McCook, Imperial, and Sidney, as well as the ranch country north of the Platte that has no scheduled transit at all. Hourly bookings are also available for travelers who need to combine an airport pickup with several business stops before returning for the evening Denver flight.

North Platte, Lincoln County and the Sandhills Corridor

Inside North Platte itself, the drive from Lee Bird Field to most destinations takes under fifteen minutes. We serve the hotels and restaurants along South Dewey Street near Interstate 80, downtown offices around the Lincoln County Courthouse, the Mid Plains Community College campuses, Great Plains Health, and the attractions on the west side of town. Visitors with a free afternoon often ask for a stop at the Golden Spike Tower above Union Pacific's Bailey Yard, the largest rail classification yard in the world, or at Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park on Scouts Rest Ranch Road, and both fit neatly into a chauffeured airport transfer.

Connecting LBF with Other Nebraska and Front Range Airports

Because LBF offers Denver as its only scheduled destination, some travelers mix airports to fit a schedule. We run direct transfers between North Platte and Kearney Regional Airport (EAR), McCook Ben Nelson Regional Airport (MCK), Central Nebraska Regional Airport (GRI) in Grand Island, Lincoln Airport (LNK), Eppley Airfield (OMA) in Omaha, and Denver International Airport (DEN) when a nonstop elsewhere makes the long drive worthwhile. Groups of up to 14 who want to make those runs together usually choose our Nebraska Sprinter van service so that luggage, people, and a single invoice all travel in one vehicle.

Airport Information: North Platte Regional Lee Bird Field (LBF)

North Platte Regional Airport Lee Bird Field is located at 5400 E Lee Bird Dr, Suite 10, North Platte, NE 69101, about three miles east of downtown on Highway 30 with quick access from Interstate 80. The airport is owned and operated by the North Platte Airport Authority, which can be reached at +1 308 532 1900. The field covers roughly 2,831 acres at an elevation of 2,777 feet and has two runways, the longest stretching 8,001 feet, which is why 50 seat regional jets and corporate aircraft use it comfortably.

Brief History and Importance of the Airport

The airfield began in 1921 as North Platte Field, built with private money to serve the U.S. Air Mail Service on the transcontinental route between New York and San Francisco. It earned a place in aviation history as the first lighted airfield in the country, the site that made night airmail possible. The City of North Platte bought the field in 1929, added runways in 1941 when it became a wartime training base, and renamed it Lee Bird Field the same year after Lee Bird, the son of a pioneer family who died in a 1918 pilot training accident. The North Platte Airport Authority took over operations in July 1963, and the airport received its present name, North Platte Regional Airport Lee Bird Field, in June 1992. Today it is classified by the FAA as a primary commercial service airport and anchors air access for west central Nebraska.

Airlines Operating from LBF

United Express, operated by SkyWest Airlines, is the sole scheduled passenger carrier at Lee Bird Field. SkyWest launched the route on February 1, 2018 with 50 seat CRJ200 jets under the federal EAS program, replacing earlier turboprop service, and the Airport Authority has kept the jet contract in place since. Tickets are sold through United, and connections at Denver use United's Concourse B. FedEx Feeder flights operated by Baron Aviation and cargo runs by Bemidji Aviation also use the field, along with a busy general aviation community served by the Trego Dugan fixed base operation.

Domestic Destinations

Denver International Airport is the only nonstop destination from LBF, with daily round trips that typically run twice a day. The early 6:15 a.m. departure returned on January 6, 2026 after a three year gap caused by pilot shortages, restoring same day connections through Denver's eight daily flight banks to the West Coast, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Chicago, and international gateways. Airport leadership has also discussed a possible midday flight timed to golf season, so check the current United schedule when planning.

Terminal Information

A brand new passenger terminal, built under the North Platte New Places project, opened for flights in August 2026. The public open house was held on August 10, the first inbound SkyWest flight arrived the evening of August 11, and the first departure left on the morning of August 12. The building brought North Platte its first passenger jet bridge, a 110 seat boarding room designed to expand, natural light throughout, upgraded restrooms, and food and beverage concessions both before and after security. Einstein Bros. Bagels opens at 5 a.m. for the early flight. Complimentary wireless internet, charging stations in every seating area, and ADA approved boarding ramps round out the amenities. All commercial flights board at Gate 1.

Check In and Security Timeline at LBF

The airport asks all commercial passengers to arrive at least 90 minutes before departure. The United check in counter and checked bag screening open 90 minutes out and close 45 minutes before the flight. The TSA checkpoint opens one hour before departure and closes 15 minutes before, and boarding begins 25 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. Travelers connecting beyond Denver on a separate airline should confirm that United holds a baggage transfer agreement with that carrier, since otherwise bags must be claimed and rechecked at DEN.

Passenger Traffic

LBF boarded 12,982 passengers in SkyWest's first year of 2018 and 15,928 in 2019 before the pandemic cut 2020 to 7,368. Traffic rebounded to 13,502 in 2021, climbed to around 17,500 boardings in 2024, and settled at about 16,500 in 2025, a dip the Airport Authority attributed to the missing early and late flights. Volume rose roughly 20 percent over the year leading into the new terminal opening, while similar markets nationally slipped, and general aviation activity is up around 45 percent on the strength of private jet traffic tied to the area's golf courses. Long range planning forecasts 25,000 annual boardings by 2040.

Parking Overview

Parking at Lee Bird Field is free for airport customers and sits directly outside the terminal. The lot is divided by trip length: a two hour zone for quick drop offs and pickups, short term spaces for trips under 15 days, and long term parking at the north end of the lot for trips over 15 days. Travelers leaving a vehicle for over 30 days must notify airport staff at check in and provide vehicle documentation, and registration tags must be current or the vehicle can be removed. The 2026 terminal project added over 30 new stalls and an expanded free long term area.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

The loading zone under the terminal canopy is for active loading only. Drivers may stop briefly to drop off or collect passengers but must stay with the vehicle and move it as soon as the exchange is done; unattended vehicles are not permitted there. For arrivals, the simplest plan is to park in the free two hour zone and walk the few steps into the baggage area. Our chauffeurs do exactly that, holding a name sign at the terminal entrance, loading bags, and walking you to a vehicle that is already warmed up or cooled down.

Ground Transportation Options

Three rental counters serve LBF: Thrifty, Hertz, and Enterprise, each reachable by phone to confirm hours around the flight schedule. The City of North Platte Public Transit system offers door to door rides within city limits on weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. for a small fare, but it requires booking at least 24 hours ahead through the dispatcher and does not operate on Sundays. Uber and Lyft exist in North Platte, yet drivers are often unavailable, especially for the first flight of the morning. Intercity buses, including Arrow Stage Lines and Burlington Trailways, stop at the Timesaver on South Dewey Street, well away from the airport. The airport itself strongly discourages walking to or from the terminal.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Book ground transportation before you leave Denver; the North Platte visitors bureau notes rideshare drivers are not always available, and rental counters keep limited hours.
  • Pack a layer for the walk to the car in winter; even with the new jet bridge, Nebraska wind on the apron side of the terminal is no joke.
  • If you are connecting onward by car to the Sandhills, fill up in North Platte, since stations thin out quickly north of town on Highway 83.
  • Flying with golf clubs or firearms? TSA at LBF handles hundreds of golf bags each season; declare firearms at the United counter in a locked hard case.
  • Save the ASOS weather line, +1 308 220 0580, for a quick check on fog or crosswinds before heading to an early departure.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at LBF?

At a large hub, a missed rideshare match is a minor annoyance. At Lee Bird Field, it can mean standing under the canopy with no car in sight while the rental counter locks up. A reservation with Union Limousine removes that risk entirely: the chauffeur is dispatched against your flight, waits inside if the SkyWest jet is late, and already knows whether you are headed to a hotel off Interstate 80 or a ranch two hours north. You get a fixed price, a vetted driver, a clean vehicle sized for your bags, and one phone number that answers at 5 a.m. on the morning of the first flight.

Your driver parks in the free two hour zone directly outside the terminal and waits inside the arrivals area with a name sign. Lee Bird Field has a single terminal and one gate, so the meeting point is simple: walk from the jet bridge to baggage claim and your chauffeur is right there. Curbside pickup under the canopy is also available if you prefer to be collected the moment you step outside.

Yes. Every airport reservation is attached to the United Express flight number, and dispatch tracks it from pushback at Denver International. If weather or a late inbound aircraft shifts the arrival, the chauffeur adjusts automatically and there is no waiting fee for flight related delays.

The airport asks commercial passengers to arrive 90 minutes before departure, and the bag cutoff is 45 minutes out. For the early flight we recommend a 4:30 a.m. pickup anywhere inside North Platte, with more margin for travelers coming from Ogallala, Gothenburg, or the Sandhills. Einstein Bros. Bagels opens in the terminal at 5 a.m., so there is coffee waiting.

Absolutely. We run point to point transfers between Lee Bird Field and Kearney Regional, Central Nebraska Regional in Grand Island, McCook, Lincoln, Eppley Airfield in Omaha, and Denver International. Quotes are flat rate, and the chauffeur will coordinate timing with both flights.

Yes. SUVs comfortably hold two or three golf travel bags alongside luggage, Sprinter vans carry gear for a full foursome or hunting party, and charter buses have underfloor bays for large groups. Tell us what you are bringing when you book and we will assign the right vehicle.

Most wedding groups choose a stretch limousine for up to 20 guests or a Sprinter van for up to 14 with luggage. For larger parties flying in across several Denver connections, we can stage a mini charter bus at the terminal lot and make one departure once everyone has arrived.

We do. Rear facing infant seats, forward facing toddler seats, and boosters are available on request at the time of booking at no additional charge. Let us know the ages of the children so the correct seats are installed before the chauffeur leaves for LBF.

The airport is about three miles east of downtown on Highway 30. Most hotels along South Dewey Street near Interstate 80 are a ten to fifteen minute drive, and destinations on the west side of town such as the Golden Spike Tower or Buffalo Bill Ranch take roughly twenty minutes.

Yes. Hourly bookings start at the terminal and let you keep the chauffeur and vehicle for meetings at Bailey Yard, site visits across Lincoln County, or a tour of area attractions before returning for an evening flight. Minimum hours apply and are confirmed on the quote.

Call or text dispatch as soon as you know. We will rebook the pickup for your new arrival time at LBF or redirect the chauffeur to meet you at Denver International, Kearney, or wherever your rerouted journey ends, without a cancellation penalty when we are notified before the driver departs.
