What we offer

Baton Rouge Metropolitan (BTR) Airport Limo Service

Game weekends and wedding parties arrive together and stay together. Baton Rouge Metropolitan (BTR) Airport limo service with stretch limousines, Sprinter vans and motorcoaches for groups of up to 56.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Baton Rouge Metropolitan (BTR) Airport

Flights into Baton Rouge arrive in clusters. Regional jets from Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and Charlotte touch down within minutes of each other and send a wave of passengers toward one short curb on Jackie Cochran Drive. A reserved car takes you out of that scramble. Our Baton Rouge Metropolitan (BTR) Airport limo service places a licensed chauffeur in the arrival court before your flight reaches the gate, follows your inbound aircraft in real time, and carries you to the Capitol district, the LSU campus, the river plants or any address in the state in a vehicle sized for your party. Union Limousine runs this Louisiana airport limo service with the same standards we hold at the busiest hubs in the country, so a mid sized airport in East Baton Rouge Parish receives the same preparation as a major gateway.

Why Travelers in Louisiana, LA Reserve a BTR Limo With Us?

Baton Rouge is a government town, a university town and an industrial town all at once, and each of those worlds produces airport trips with different demands. A lobbyist flying in for a committee hearing wants a quiet sedan and a chauffeur who understands the Capitol parking rules. An engineering crew heading to a turnaround at a plant on Scenic Highway wants an SUV with room for tool bags and hard hats. A wedding party flying in from Dallas for a reception at a historic home in St. Francisville wants a stretch limousine or a party bus. We staff for all of these at the same time, which is why our limo service is booked again and again by the same agencies, firms and families across the Capital Region.

  • Flight tracking on every BTR pickup, with wait time set to the actual arrival, so a late inbound from Houston costs you nothing extra
  • Chauffeurs who meet you in the arrival court on the second level of the terminal, by the fountain, holding a name board
  • Flat rate quotes to Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston and West Baton Rouge addresses, with no surge pricing during LSU home games or session week
  • Child seats, extra luggage capacity and wheelchair accessible vehicles arranged in advance at no extra charge
  • One reservation that covers the airport leg, hotel transfers, dinner runs and the return trip to BTR

Union Limousine has chauffeured clients since 1997, and the habits that come with that history show up in small ways at BTR. Our dispatchers watch the arrivals board around the clock. Our chauffeurs know that the garage skybridge delivers you to the second floor, that the cell phone lot sits beside the end of Runway 4L, and that the fastest route downtown is Interstate 110 southbound to the Capitol exits. You will never be asked to find a shuttle island or wait for an app to pair you with a driver who is still twenty minutes away on Harding Boulevard.

Our Fleet for Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport Transfers

Every vehicle we send to the terminal is late model, detailed before each run, and matched to the headcount and luggage you give us at booking. The capacities below are passenger seats with luggage space kept clear, so a family of five with golf bags belongs in an SUV, and a sales team of twelve with carry ons belongs in a Sprinter van.

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

Executive sedans handle the bulk of our BTR work. They fit three adults and three checked bags, and they are the right choice for a single executive flying in from Charlotte, a couple returning from a Caribbean connection through Atlanta, or a consultant with a 7:00 a.m. meeting at a state agency downtown.

  • Capacity: 1 to 3 passengers with up to 3 large suitcases
  • Best for: business travel, Capitol visits, hospital and medical appointments, quiet solo transfers

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Full size SUVs give a family, a project team or a group of friends extra legroom and a cargo area that swallows strollers, coolers and equipment cases. They are also the vehicle we recommend when heavy rain is in the forecast, since the raised ride height copes well with standing water on surface streets after a Gulf storm.

  • Capacity: 4 to 6 passengers with up to 6 suitcases
  • Best for: families, plant and contractor crews, LSU recruiting visits, airport runs with oversized luggage

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

A stretch limousine turns the drive from BTR into part of the occasion. Wedding parties, anniversary couples, prom groups and birthday celebrations use them for the ride into town and for the evening that follows. Interiors include fiber optic lighting, a bar area, privacy partition and premium sound.

  • Capacity: 8 to 20 passengers depending on the model reserved
  • Best for: weddings, milestone birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette weekends, casino nights at L'Auberge

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

High roof Sprinter vans are the workhorse for mid sized groups. Passengers stand up to walk the aisle, every seat has a window, and the rear luggage bay takes a bag per person with room to spare. Corporate groups use them for site visits along the Mississippi, and extended families use them for reunion weekends.

  • Capacity: 8 to 14 passengers with full luggage
  • Best for: executive retreats, visiting delegations, church groups, family reunions, multi stop industrial tours

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Party buses carry a large celebration from the airport to the hotel and then on to Third Street, Tiger Stadium or a reception hall without anyone driving. Perimeter seating, dance floor lighting and a sound system are standard, and a professional chauffeur stays with the group for the whole booking.

  • Capacity: 20 to 30 passengers
  • Best for: game day tailgates, Mardi Gras weekends, large bridal parties, corporate celebrations

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mini coaches are the practical answer when a conference, a university program or a touring group lands on one flight. Forward facing reclining seats, overhead racks, climate control and under floor luggage keep everyone comfortable from the terminal to the River Center or the LSU campus.

  • Capacity: 24 to 35 passengers with under floor luggage
  • Best for: conference shuttles, athletic teams, school and university groups, corporate training cohorts

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Full size motorcoaches handle the largest arrivals, from a trade association flying in for a Capitol advocacy day to a tour operator bringing visitors to the plantation homes along River Road. Restrooms, reclining seats, power outlets, Wi Fi and large luggage bays come standard.

  • Capacity: 36 to 56 passengers with full luggage bays
  • Best for: conventions, legislative delegations, long distance group transfers to New Orleans or Lafayette, multi day tours

Where We Drive: Baton Rouge and the Louisiana Service Area?

BTR sits about five miles north of downtown, which makes most of our transfers short and most of our clients early. From the airport exit onto Veterans Memorial Boulevard, a chauffeur can reach the Capitol in about fifteen minutes, the LSU campus in twenty, and the Mall of Louisiana in twenty five outside of peak traffic. Our service area extends well beyond the parish line.

Downtown, the Capitol and the LSU Campus

Downtown Baton Rouge packs the Louisiana State Capitol, the Old State Capitol, the Raising Cane's River Center, the Shaw Center for the Arts and the USS Kidd into a few riverfront blocks, with hotels on Lafayette Street and Third Street restaurants in walking distance. We handle session week transfers for legislators, staff and visiting delegations, and we know which Capitol entrances accept drop offs during security screening. South of downtown, the LSU campus brings in recruits, faculty candidates, visiting teams and alumni, and Tiger Stadium weekends fill every hotel from Nicholson Drive to Siegen Lane. Mid City, the Garden District, the Perkins Road overpass district and Towne Center at Cedar Lodge round out the city addresses we serve most. Visitors who want ideas for their stay can browse the things to do in Baton Rouge guide published by the city's tourism office.

Suburbs and Neighboring Parishes

North of the airport, Zachary, Baker and Central are quick runs along Plank Road and Highway 19. East across the Amite River, Denham Springs and Walker in Livingston Parish are frequent destinations for families returning from Florida vacations. South on Airline Highway, Prairieville and Gonzales in Ascension Parish bring in shoppers headed for Tanger Outlets and exhibitors headed for the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. Across the Mississippi, Port Allen, Addis and Brusly in West Baton Rouge Parish and Plaquemine in Iberville Parish are home to many of the plant managers and contractors we drive every week. St. Francisville in West Feliciana Parish and New Roads in Pointe Coupee Parish complete the circle. Each of these towns is covered by our limo service in Louisiana at a quoted flat rate, with no mileage surprises on the invoice.

Long Distance Chauffeured Transfers Across Louisiana

A direct flight into BTR often beats a connection into a larger airport, and a chauffeured car closes the distance. We drive from Baton Rouge to New Orleans in about ninety minutes down Interstate 10, and we deliver passengers to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International for international departures when a nonstop from BTR is not available. Lafayette is less than an hour west, Hammond sits forty five minutes east, and Lake Charles, Houma, Thibodaux, Alexandria and Natchez, Mississippi are all regular runs. Hourly bookings through our chauffeur service in Louisiana let a visiting executive keep the same driver for a plant tour in Geismar, a lunch in Gonzales and an evening flight home.

Corporate, Group and Event Transportation from BTR

The refineries, chemical plants and terminals along the river between Baton Rouge and Donaldsonville generate a steady stream of visiting engineers, auditors, safety inspectors and executives, and most of them arrive through BTR on a morning flight from Houston or Dallas. We hold corporate accounts for contractors, law firms, consulting practices, hospital systems and state agencies, with monthly invoicing, passenger name tracking and a single point of contact for changes. For routine executive transfers, our BTR airport car service runs on the same booking platform as this limo page, so an assistant can move a traveler between a sedan and a stretch limousine without starting over. Union Limousine also supports event planners staging conventions at the River Center, galas at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center and fundraisers on the LSU campus.

Group arrivals are where the fleet mix matters most. An alumni group flying in from Atlanta for a night game, a church delegation arriving for a conference, or a bridal party landing from Charlotte two days before a wedding at a venue in St. Francisville each needs a vehicle that keeps everyone together. Our Sprinter van service in Louisiana covers groups of eight to fourteen with luggage, and our minibuses and motorcoaches scale from there, all dispatched from the same team that handles your sedan.

History and Importance

East Baton Rouge Parish began searching for a site in 1939 to replace the small downtown field on Goodwood Boulevard with an airport that could handle longer runways. Construction was still underway in December 1940 when the U.S. Army asked to lease the property, and on January 22, 1942 the base was named Harding Field in honor of Lieutenant William Harding, a Shreveport born pilot and 1932 Olympic rifle team member who died in a 1936 crash. For four years the field trained fighter and bomber crews who served in every theater of the war. In August 1948 the property passed to civilian use under the Surplus Property Act, and in 1969 the Louisiana Legislature created the Greater Baton Rouge Airport District and its Airport Authority.

Today the airport is owned by the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge, operates as an enterprise fund that receives no general tax revenue, and covers roughly 1,800 acres. Its primary runway, 4L/22R, is 7,500 feet of grooved concrete with a Category II instrument landing system, and a 7,004 foot crosswind runway and a general aviation runway support the airfield. The airport contributes over one billion dollars a year to the regional economy and about 4,500 jobs, hosts the Louisiana State Police Air Support Unit, and maintains a 33,000 square foot cargo facility. It serves a metro area of over 830,000 people and a catchment of about 1.7 million across south Louisiana and southwest Mississippi, which makes it the second busiest airport in the state.

Airlines Operating from BTR

Three network carriers serve Baton Rouge, each flying regional jets to a major hub several times a day. That structure means one connection reaches most of the world, and it also means arrivals bunch together in the early afternoon and evening when the hub banks release flights at once.

American Airlines

American Eagle regional jets connect BTR with Dallas/Fort Worth, Charlotte and Washington National. The Washington route began with the help of a federal small community air service grant and gives the Louisiana capital a direct link to the national capital.

Delta Air Lines

Delta operates the busiest route at the airport, with several daily departures to Atlanta. During football season Delta has also added weekend nonstops to select LSU away game cities, such as Lexington, Kentucky, with larger aircraft on popular dates.

United Airlines

United Express flies to Houston Intercontinental, a short hop that feeds United's global network and carries much of the petrochemical industry traffic between the two cities. United has also run game day nonstops to select SEC matchups in recent seasons.

Domestic Destinations

  • Atlanta (ATL) on Delta Air Lines
  • Charlotte (CLT) on American Eagle
  • Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) on American Eagle
  • Houston Intercontinental (IAH) on United Express
  • Washington National (DCA) on American Eagle
  • Seasonal football weekend nonstops announced each fall by Delta and United

Terminal Information

BTR operates a single two level passenger terminal on the west side of the airfield. Airline ticket counters, car rental desks and baggage claim occupy the ground floor, while the TSA checkpoint, the gates on two compact concourses and the arrival court with its fountain sit on the upper level. An enclosed skybridge connects the second floor directly to the parking garage, so a chauffeur meeting a client can walk from the garage to the arrival court without crossing traffic. The terminal is open 24 hours, offers TSA PreCheck, and holds the History of Harding Field display near the arrival court.

A terminal interior renovation is scheduled to begin in October 2026 with completion expected in the third quarter of 2027. The project brings new flooring, lighting and wall finishes, powered seating for charging devices, upgraded ticket counter areas, new baggage belts, video screens in the ticket lobby and baggage claim, and improvements to the rental car facility. All airport services stay open during the work, though walking routes inside the building may shift as construction moves from one area to the next.

Passenger Traffic

The airport has set annual passenger records three years in a row. Traffic reached 844,025 passengers in 2024, up over ten percent from 2023 and ahead of the previous high of 821,236 set in 2019, and 2025 finished at roughly 847,000 passengers. Atlanta is the busiest route with about 132,000 passengers over a recent twelve month period, followed closely by Dallas/Fort Worth at about 118,000. Monthly volume peaks in late spring and again in October and November, which coincides with the LSU home schedule and the busiest weeks for plant turnarounds.

Parking Overview

All parking at BTR is ticketless. Cameras read your license plate on entry and exit, the first thirty minutes are free, and short stays are billed in small increments before the daily rate applies. Three digital payment lanes and one full service checkout handle departures, and all major credit cards are accepted.

Garage Parking

The multi level garage sits one minute from the terminal by covered walkway and skybridge, with electric vehicle chargers on a first come basis. The daily rate is 16 dollars.

Premium Reserved Garage

Reserved spaces on the second floor open directly onto the skybridge and cost 20 dollars per day. They must be booked online in advance and are marked by signage.

Economy Parking

The surface economy lot behind the garage is a three to five minute walk from the terminal and is the lowest priced option at 13 dollars per day, available to drive up customers only.

Premium Reserved Economy

Covered spaces inside the economy area with a covered walkway to the terminal cost 15 dollars per day and can be reserved ahead of travel.

Why Our Clients Rarely Pay for Parking?

A week in the garage costs over 100 dollars before you count the walk back to a cold car. A chauffeured round trip replaces that line item with a receipt that is often lower, and it removes any worry about a dead battery after ten days away.

Pickup and Drop Off Guidance

For departures, pull up to the ticketing curb on the ground level, where your chauffeur unloads luggage at the door nearest your airline. For arrivals, the airport asks that anyone waiting at the curb stay with the vehicle at all times, and unattended cars can be towed. The official passenger pickup guidance recommends meeting arriving travelers in the second level arrival court beside the fountain, which has seating, restrooms and vending. Friends arriving early can wait in the free cell phone lot next to the end of Runway 4L, on the right as you approach the airport entrance from the Harding Boulevard exit. Our chauffeurs never use the cell phone lot and wait in the arrival court with a name board, because the garage skybridge lets them reach you without moving the car.

Ground Transportation Options

Taxis stage outside baggage claim on the ground level, and rideshare pickups are assigned to a designated zone along the same curb. Rental car counters sit inside the terminal with vehicles in an adjacent lot. Hotel shuttles serve a handful of properties along Harding Boulevard and the Interstate 110 corridor, and public bus service to the terminal is limited, so most business travelers and visitors arrange a car ahead of time. A prebooked chauffeur is the only option that guarantees a specific vehicle, a specific driver and a fixed price before the wheels touch the runway.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

Baggage claim is small and fast, and bags from a regional jet usually appear within fifteen minutes of arrival. Afternoon thunderstorms are common from May through September, so let your chauffeur carry an umbrella to the door. Road work around the city is frequent, and the parish Transportation and Drainage department maintains the traffic signals, road closure listings and construction schedules that our dispatchers consult before each run. On LSU home game Saturdays, allow extra time anywhere near Nicholson Drive and the stadium, and during the spring legislative session expect heavy traffic around the Capitol complex between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Is Often the Easier Choice at BTR?

BTR is a small airport with big surges. When four regional jets release two hundred passengers at once, the taxi line empties quickly and rideshare prices climb within minutes, with drivers accepting the trip from twenty minutes away. A reservation with us fixes the vehicle, the price and the meeting point before you board. Your chauffeur knows your flight number, adjusts to the actual arrival time, helps with luggage, and sets off on a route chosen by someone who drives it daily. The difference is most obvious at 10:30 p.m. after a delayed connection through Houston, when a name board in the arrival court outweighs a few dollars saved on an app.

Your chauffeur is positioned at the airport before the scheduled arrival and is already in the arrival court when your flight parks at the gate. We follow the aircraft in real time, so an early arrival or a delay changes nothing on your end.

Meet in the arrival court on the second level, beside the fountain and the Harding Field history display. Your chauffeur holds a sign with your name, walks you across the skybridge or down to the curb, and loads your luggage.

Yes. Every airport reservation includes flight monitoring from departure through touchdown. If a Houston or Atlanta connection runs late, the chauffeur's schedule shifts with it, and no waiting fee applies to delays caused by the airline.

Downtown is about five miles from the terminal, which makes it one of the shortest airport runs we quote in Louisiana. Pricing is a flat rate by vehicle class, confirmed at booking, with tolls, gratuity options and any wait time shown before you pay.

Absolutely. The run down Interstate 10 to the French Quarter, the Convention Center or the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International terminal takes about ninety minutes, and we quote it as a single flat fare with the return leg available at a reduced rate.

A Sprinter van seats up to fourteen with luggage and is the usual choice for ten. If the group plans to tailgate and ride together to the stadium afterward, a party bus with perimeter seating keeps everyone in one vehicle for the whole day.

Yes. Infant, convertible and booster seats are installed on request when you book, at no extra charge. Tell us each child's age and weight so the chauffeur fits the correct seat before leaving for the airport.

A sedan carries three passengers with three large suitcases and carry ons. An SUV carries up to six passengers with six suitcases. For golf bags, equipment cases or a family returning from a long trip, book the SUV to keep the cabin clear.

We do. The first bank of departures leaves around 6:00 a.m., and we schedule pickups from any Baton Rouge address, Gonzales, Denham Springs or Zachary in time for check in and security. Dispatch confirms the pickup time the night before.

Yes. Hourly bookings start at a minimum block and keep one chauffeur with you for plant visits, Capitol meetings, campus tours or a dinner in Mid City, then return you to the airport or your hotel whenever the day ends.
