Lafayette Regional (LFT) Airport Limo Service
Festival weekends, UL Lafayette graduations, and wedding guests call for a stretch limo or party bus at the curb. Our Lafayette Regional (LFT) Airport limo service seats groups of up to 56 in comfort.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Lafayette Regional (LFT) Airport
Acadiana's gateway airport deserves ground transportation that matches the comfort of its new terminal. Our Lafayette Regional (LFT) Airport limo service pairs licensed chauffeurs with late model sedans, SUVs, stretch limousines, Sprinter vans, and charter buses for travelers arriving at or departing from 200 Terminal Drive. As part of our wider Louisiana airport limo service network, we monitor every inbound flight, greet passengers beneath the terminal canopy, and load luggage so the ride to Youngsville, Broussard, Carencro, or Downtown Lafayette begins the moment bags come off the belt.
Why Travelers Across Louisiana, LA Choose Our LFT Limo Service?
Lafayette Regional handles four daily hub connections and a steady flow of energy executives, university families, festival visitors, and medical travelers. Taxis queue at the curb only when a flight is due, and rideshare coverage thins out after the last evening arrival from Houston. Union Limousine removes that uncertainty with confirmed reservations, a named chauffeur, and a flat rate quoted before the trip begins. Every LFT airport car service booking includes the same standard of care, from a single executive sedan to a full size coach for a conference delegation.
- Real time flight monitoring for American, Delta, and United arrivals, so pickup times adjust automatically when a connection runs late
- Meet and greet inside the baggage claim area with a name board, or curbside pickup under the canopy for frequent flyers who prefer speed
- Flat rate pricing with tolls, fuel, and standard wait time built in, with no surge multipliers on Mardi Gras weekend or during Festival International
- Chauffeurs who know the Evangeline Thruway, Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Kaliste Saloom Road, and the quickest routes to Interstate 10 and Interstate 49
- Vehicles detailed before every assignment, with bottled water, phone chargers, and climate control set before you step in
- Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing for oilfield service companies, law firms, and healthcare systems based in Lafayette Parish
Chauffeured Rides for Every Reason to Fly Through Lafayette
Energy Executives and Offshore Crew Changes
Lafayette remains the operational center for dozens of oil and gas service companies with offices along US Highway 90 in Broussard and New Iberia. Crews rotating in from Dallas or Houston often land at LFT with heavy gear and tight shuttle windows to Port Fourchon or Intracoastal City. A Sprinter van waiting at the curb keeps the whole team together, and an SUV with a professional driver delivers a visiting executive to a Broussard field office in time for a morning safety briefing.
University Families, Game Days, and Graduation Weekends
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette brings thousands of parents and alumni through the airport each semester. Our limo service handles move in weekends, Ragin' Cajuns football Saturdays at Cajun Field, basketball nights at the Cajundome, and the spring commencement rush when hotel shuttles fill up and parking near campus vanishes. A stretch limousine or party bus turns a graduation celebration into a memorable ride from the terminal to a Downtown Lafayette restaurant.
Festival Weekends and Wedding Parties
Lafayette has been called the Happiest City in America, and its calendar proves the point. Festival International de Louisiane fills downtown every April, Festivals Acadiens et Créoles takes over Girard Park in October, and Mardi Gras parades roll through the Oil Center and along Jefferson Street. Wedding guests flying in for ceremonies at Vermilionville, the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, or a sugar cane plantation venue near Breaux Bridge appreciate a chauffeur who already knows where the reception is.
Medical Travel and Senior Transportation
Ochsner Lafayette General, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, and the Lafayette VA clinics draw patients from across Acadiana and from out of state. We provide gentle, patient paced airport transfers with assistance for mobility devices, extra time at the curb, and chauffeurs who wait with family members in the arrivals hall.
Where We Drive From Lafayette Regional Airport?
LFT sits two miles southeast of the city center beside US Highway 90, which makes it a convenient launch point for the entire Acadiana region and for longer runs to the state capital or the Gulf Coast. Our Louisiana car service covers every parish in the state, and the destinations below are among the most requested from the Lafayette terminal.
- Downtown Lafayette, the Oil Center, and River Ranch, roughly 10 to 15 minutes from the terminal
- Youngsville, Broussard, and Milton along the Ambassador Caffery and Highway 89 corridors
- Carencro, Scott, and Duson on the north and west sides of the parish
- Breaux Bridge and Henderson for swamp tours, Lake Martin, and Atchafalaya Basin outings
- New Iberia, Avery Island, and Jeanerette, about 30 to 40 minutes down US Highway 90
- Opelousas, Eunice, and Ville Platte for Cajun and zydeco music venues in St. Landry and Evangeline Parishes
- Crowley and Rayne, home of the International Rice Festival and the Frog Festival, west along Interstate 10
- Baton Rouge, about an hour east, for the State Capitol, LSU, and State of Louisiana agency offices
- Lake Charles, about 75 minutes west, for casino resorts and the petrochemical corridor
- New Orleans, roughly two and a half hours, for cruise departures, conventions, and connections through MSY
Visitors who want to plan around the region's music, food, and cultural events can review the annual festivals in Lafayette calendar maintained by the parish tourism office, then reserve a vehicle sized for the whole group. For executives who shuttle between Lafayette and the capital several times a month, our Louisiana limo service offers hourly chauffeur bookings that keep a car and driver on standby between meetings.
Our Fleet for Lafayette Regional Airport Transfers
Union Limousine maintains a mixed fleet so that one phone call covers an individual traveler, a crew of twelve, or a full conference group. Every vehicle is commercially insured, inspected on a fixed schedule, and assigned a chauffeur who has completed background and driving record checks.
Executive Sedans, Up to 3 Passengers
Mercedes Benz E Class and Cadillac CT6 sedans suit solo business travelers, couples, and anyone connecting from a Charlotte or Atlanta flight with a carry on and one checked bag. Leather seating, tinted glass, and a quiet cabin make the short run to the Oil Center or a River Ranch hotel feel like an extension of first class.
Luxury SUVs, Up to 6 Passengers
Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Suburban SUVs carry families, golf foursomes, and small project teams with room for luggage, equipment cases, and strollers. The raised ride height and all weather capability are welcome during the afternoon thunderstorms that roll across south Louisiana in summer.
Stretch Limousines, Up to 20 Passengers
Classic stretch limousines serve wedding parties, prom groups, milestone birthdays, and bachelorette weekends heading downtown. Fiber optic lighting, a premium sound system, and a stocked bar area make the ride from the airport part of the celebration.
Sprinter Vans, Up to 14 Passengers
Mercedes Benz Sprinter vans are the workhorse of Lafayette crew transportation. Rear luggage bays swallow duffel bags and tool cases, high ceilings allow passengers to stand, and executive configurations add leather captain's chairs, tables, and USB power for teams working between the airport and a Broussard yard.
Party Buses, Up to 30 Passengers
Party buses carry large wedding groups, festival crowds, and corporate celebration teams. Wraparound seating, dance floor lighting, and onboard coolers keep the energy up from the terminal to a Jefferson Street venue or a crawfish boil in Breaux Bridge.
Mini Charter Buses, Up to 35 Passengers
Mini coaches work well for visiting athletic teams, church groups, academic delegations, and tour operators bringing visitors into Acadiana for swamp tours and plantation visits. Reclining seats, overhead storage, and under floor luggage compartments keep everyone comfortable for day trips to Avery Island or the Atchafalaya Basin.
Full Size Charter Buses, Up to 56 Passengers
Full size motorcoaches handle conference shuttles between LFT and the Cajundome Convention Center, multi day group tours across the state, and university programs moving large cohorts. Restrooms, Wi Fi, power outlets, and professional drivers certified for long distance routes come standard.

A Brief History and Why the Airport Matters
Aviation in Lafayette dates to 1930, when the city established its first airfield on the southeastern edge of town. The facility grew with the Acadiana oil boom of the 1950s and 1960s, becoming a hub for helicopter operators ferrying crews to offshore platforms in the Gulf. The airfield now spans about 1,116 acres and is the home base of PHI, one of the largest helicopter operators in the world. In December 2014, Lafayette Parish voters approved a temporary one cent sales tax to fund a replacement passenger terminal, and construction began in late 2018. The new terminal opened to flights on January 20, 2022, the old 1980s building was demolished later that year, and the entire project finished under budget with surplus funds returned to the community. Today LFT is the busiest commercial airport in Acadiana, supporting over 1,500 jobs on airport property.
Airlines Operating From LFT
Three carriers provide scheduled passenger service, operating mostly regional jets with occasional mainline aircraft on peak departures.
- American Airlines, operated by American Eagle partners, with multiple daily flights
- Delta Air Lines, operated by Delta Connection and periodic mainline service
- United Airlines, operated by United Express
Domestic Destinations
LFT offers nonstop regional jet service to four major hub airports, with roughly 18 departures on a typical weekday. Each hub opens one stop connections to hundreds of cities across the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
- Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) on American Airlines
- Charlotte Douglas (CLT) on American Airlines
- Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta (ATL) on Delta Air Lines
- Houston George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) on United Airlines
Terminal Information
The single passenger terminal covers about 120,000 square feet, twice the footprint of the building it replaced. It houses five gates with jet bridges, with pads reserved for two future gates, and two TSA screening lanes with space for a third. A central rotunda holds a restaurant and bar, a gift shop, and seating with views of the apron, while a smaller cafe sits past security. Rental car counters, baggage claim, and airline ticket counters share the ground level, and free Wi Fi and charging stations are available throughout the building. Security screening opens at 4:00 a.m. for the first departures.
Passenger Traffic
Lafayette Regional served 590,860 passengers in 2025, a new all time record and a sharp climb from 457,054 in 2022, the first year of operations in the new terminal. The previous high of 532,811 passengers was set in 2024, which means the airport has broken its own record in consecutive years as the energy economy, tourism, and university travel have all strengthened. Demand peaks around the spring festival season, summer vacations, and fall crew rotations.
Parking Overview
The airport operates 966 parking spaces across two public lots directly in front of the terminal, managed by Republic Parking. The first 30 minutes are free in both lots, and all gates accept cash and major credit cards. Current prices appear on the Lafayette Regional Airport parking page and on signage at each entrance.
Short Term Lot
Closest to the terminal doors, the short term lot charges one dollar for 31 to 60 minutes, one dollar for each additional half hour up to three and a half hours, then 11 dollars up to four hours and 15 dollars for a full day.
Long Term Lot
The long term lot charges two dollars per hour with a daily maximum of nine dollars, which makes it the practical choice for trips of two or more days. Spaces fill during holiday weeks and festival weekends, and the airport has opened an overflow lot when both main lots reach capacity.
Cell Phone Waiting Area
A free cell phone waiting area lets drivers hold until a passenger calls from the curb. Drivers must remain with their vehicles, and TSA rules prohibit waiting in front of the terminal.
Pickup and Drop Off Guidance
Departures Curb
Drop off happens on the single curb directly in front of the terminal entrance. Vehicles may stop only long enough to unload passengers and luggage, and airport police move stationary cars along quickly. Travelers with mobility needs can request wheelchair assistance from their airline at the curb.
Arrivals Pickup
Arriving passengers collect bags on the ground floor and exit under the covered canopy. Our chauffeurs either greet you inside baggage claim with a name board or pull to the canopy within two minutes of your call from the cell phone lot. Oversized items such as golf clubs, surfboards, and crew equipment arrive at the same claim area.
Ground Transportation Options
Ground options at LFT are modest compared with larger hubs, which is one reason advance reservations matter.
- Taxi: a local cab company serves the airport around the clock, with reservations recommended for early morning departures
- Rideshare: Uber and Lyft operate from a designated pickup zone, with limited driver availability late at night and during festival weekends
- Rental cars: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National maintain counters in the terminal with vehicles in an adjacent lot
- Hotel shuttles: a handful of airport area hotels provide courtesy vans on request
- Public transit: Lafayette Transit System runs city routes, though service to the terminal itself is limited, so most travelers without a car depend on taxis, rideshare, or prebooked chauffeurs
- Private chauffeur: prebooked sedans, SUVs, Sprinter vans, and buses with guaranteed availability and fixed pricing
Tips for Arriving Passengers
- Set your phone to Central Time and expect humidity year round; a light layer helps in the terminal air conditioning
- Rideshare wait times stretch past 20 minutes after the final evening arrivals, so book ground transportation before you fly
- Check the Louisiana DOTD traffic and travel page for construction on Interstate 10 and the Interstate 49 connector before scheduling a Baton Rouge or Lake Charles transfer
- Hurricane season runs June through November; chauffeurs monitor weather advisories and will contact you about rescheduling if conditions change
- Pack a small bag of festival gear in your carry on if you land on a Friday during Festival International, because downtown street closures start early
Chauffeur Note
Share your airline and flight number when you reserve. We track the aircraft from its origin hub, so a gate hold in Houston or a weather delay in Dallas never leaves you searching for a ride.
Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at LFT?
Smaller regional airports expose the weak points of on demand transportation. A taxi may already be committed to another arrival, a rideshare driver can cancel when the pickup zone is crowded, and prices climb when demand spikes around festivals, graduation, and hurricane evacuations. A reserved chauffeur removes every variable: the vehicle is assigned to you alone, the rate is fixed in writing, and a dispatcher watches your flight from the moment it leaves the hub. Union Limousine also screens every driver, insures every vehicle commercially, and provides child seats, luggage assistance, and multi stop itineraries on request. For companies moving crews, executives, and clients through Lafayette each week, our Louisiana airport chauffeur service keeps billing, scheduling, and accountability under one account.
