What we offer

Hammond Northshore Regional (HDC) Airport Limo Service

Wedding parties, air show groups and corporate teams travel together in Sprinter vans and coaches with our Hammond Northshore Regional (HDC) Airport limo service across Hammond, Covington and Slidell.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Hammond Northshore Regional (HDC) Airport

Private aviation moves at its own tempo on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, and the car waiting on the ramp should match it. Union Limousine delivers Hammond Northshore Regional (HDC) Airport limo service for executives, families, medical travelers and event groups touching down in Hammond. Our chauffeurs follow your tail number, greet you inside the FBO lounge and carry you anywhere in Louisiana, LA, whether that means a boardroom near Interstate 12, a wedding venue in Covington or a hotel on Canal Street. Every HDC booking runs under our statewide Louisiana airport limo service program, which means fixed pricing, licensed chauffeurs and a dispatcher who knows that charter departures rarely leave on the minute.

Why Pair a Private Flight Into HDC With a Chauffeur?

Hammond Northshore Regional sits about three miles northeast of downtown Hammond, close to the junction of Interstate 12 and Interstate 55. That position puts Baton Rouge roughly 45 miles west and New Orleans about 55 miles southeast, which is exactly why charter operators, corporate flight departments and medical flights favor HDC over the congestion at the big commercial fields. The catch is ground transportation. Hammond has no taxi rank at the airport, rideshare coverage on the Northshore thins out after dark, and rental counters are not staffed inside the FBOs. A prebooked limo closes that gap.

  • Chauffeur waiting inside the FBO before your wheels touch the runway
  • Flight tracking tied to your tail number, with no charge for early or delayed arrivals
  • Flat quotes to Hammond, Covington, Mandeville, Baton Rouge and New Orleans
  • Vehicles sized for one passenger or a 56 seat group on the same reservation
  • Licensed, background checked chauffeurs who know the Northshore road network

How HDC Airport Limo Pickup Works?

Meeting Your Chauffeur at the FBO

Tell us which fixed base operator your aircraft is parking with, and your chauffeur will be standing in that lounge holding a name board. Pierce Aviation, Top Gun Aviation and the new Sky X facility each have their own ramp access, so sending the FBO name ahead of time keeps the handoff quick. If your pilot requests planeside loading, we coordinate with the FBO line crew so the vehicle is positioned on the ramp when the stairs come down.

Flight Tracking for Charter and Corporate Arrivals

Private flights slip earlier or later for weather, crew duty limits and passenger schedules. Our dispatch team monitors your flight from departure, adjusts the chauffeur's arrival time automatically and sends you a text with the vehicle description and the chauffeur's mobile number. You pay for the ride you booked, never for the minutes a headwind added.

Luggage, Golf Bags and Business Equipment

Charter travelers tend to pack heavily because weight limits are generous and security lines do not exist. Let us know about golf clubs, trade show displays, camera cases or sports gear during booking and we will assign a vehicle with the cargo space to swallow all of it without stacking bags on seats.

Our Fleet for Hammond Northshore Regional Airport Transfers

Union Limousine maintains a late model fleet that covers every passenger count arriving at HDC. All vehicles are detailed before each run, stocked with bottled water and fitted with phone chargers.

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

Executive sedans suit single travelers and couples heading to meetings near the airport industrial park, Southeastern Louisiana University or hotels along the Interstate 12 corridor. Leather seating, a quiet cabin and a trunk that holds three full size cases.

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Full size SUVs handle families returning from a Gulf Coast vacation, small executive teams and anyone with oversized luggage. Captain's chairs in the second row keep the ride comfortable on the longer run into New Orleans or Baton Rouge.

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Stretch limousines bring the celebration to the ramp for wedding parties flying in, milestone birthdays and bachelor or bachelorette weekends bound for the Northshore wineries or the French Quarter. Configurations range from 8 to 20 seats with bar areas and mood lighting.

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

Sprinter vans are the workhorse for corporate groups, film crews and sports teams using HDC. Standing height interiors, individual leather seats and rear luggage compartments make them ideal for plant site visits, multi stop itineraries and transfers to the Northshore Harbor Center in Slidell.

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Party buses carry 20 to 30 guests with wraparound seating, sound systems and LED lighting. Popular for Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival weekends, Mardi Gras runs into New Orleans and reunion groups arriving on a shared charter.

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mini coaches seat 25 to 35 passengers in forward facing seats with overhead storage and underfloor luggage bays. A good fit for university athletic teams, corporate retreats on Lake Pontchartrain and conference shuttles between Hammond hotels and Covington meeting venues.

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Full size motorcoaches move 40 to 56 passengers with restrooms, reclining seats, Wi Fi and climate control. Ideal for Hammond Air Show weekend groups, incentive travel arriving on a chartered jet and large wedding parties moving between the airport, hotels and reception halls.

Where We Take You From Hammond Northshore Regional Airport?

Hammond, Ponchatoula and Tangipahoa Parish

Downtown Hammond is a ten minute ride from the FBO ramp, with its historic brick storefronts, the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts and the shops at Hammond Square. Southeastern Louisiana University sits on the north edge of downtown, and Strawberry Stadium game days keep our chauffeurs busy with alumni flying in for the weekend. South on Interstate 55, Ponchatoula draws visitors for its antique district and the April Strawberry Festival, while Amite, Independence and Kentwood anchor the northern half of the parish. Our HDC airport car service handles the short local hops as readily as the long interstate runs, and every ride is quoted up front.

Covington, Mandeville and the St. Tammany Northshore

Interstate 12 carries you east from Hammond into St. Tammany Parish in about 35 minutes. Covington's historic downtown, the lakefront in Mandeville, Fontainebleau State Park and the Tammany Trace bike path all sit within a comfortable chauffeured ride. Slidell and the Northshore Harbor Center lie farther east near the Interstate 10 interchange. Travelers unfamiliar with the area can review the parish's own St. Tammany Parish transportation resources, though with a chauffeur at the wheel the routing is already handled. Weddings at Northshore estates, fishing trips launching from Mandeville and corporate visits to the Covington business parks are all regular HDC transfers for us.

New Orleans and Baton Rouge Connections

Many of our HDC passengers never intended to stop in Hammond at all. They chose the airport for its quick turnarounds, then ride south on Interstate 55 to Interstate 10 for a 60 to 70 minute trip into New Orleans, arriving at the French Quarter, the Warehouse District hotels or the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Visitors planning the rest of their stay can look over the city's official guide to getting around New Orleans once the airport transfer is settled. Heading west, Interstate 12 reaches Baton Rouge in under an hour, placing the State Capitol, LSU and the downtown riverfront within easy reach. Both routes fall under our broader limo service in Louisiana, so the quote you receive covers tolls, fuel and waiting time.

Livingston Parish and the Interstate 12 Corridor

Denham Springs, Walker and Livingston sit between Hammond and Baton Rouge along Interstate 12, a corridor full of distribution centers, manufacturing plants and new residential developments. Executives inspecting sites in this stretch rely on our Louisiana chauffeur service for hourly bookings that keep a vehicle on standby between appointments, then return them to HDC for the evening departure.

Occasions That Bring Travelers Through HDC

Corporate and Industrial Travel

The airport shares its boundary with a growing industrial park served by rail and interstate access, and regional manufacturers host suppliers and investors here throughout the year. Our chauffeurs provide a quiet cabin for calls on the way in, wait during plant tours and return clients to the FBO with time to spare before the crew's filed departure.

Weddings and Celebrations on the Northshore

Northshore wedding venues from Hammond to Covington attract out of state guests who often arrive together on a chartered aircraft. We stage Sprinter vans and coaches at the FBO, deliver the party to the hotel block, then run shuttle loops between ceremony and reception so nobody has to think about parking.

Medical and University Travel

North Oaks Medical Center is minutes from the runway, and families flying in to be with a patient appreciate a chauffeur who handles everything from the ramp to the hospital entrance. Southeastern Louisiana University brings visiting lecturers, recruits and parents through HDC each semester, and our sedans and SUVs cover those short campus transfers daily.

Group Charters and Air Show Weekend

The Hammond Air Show fills the field with warbirds, aerobatic teams and tens of thousands of spectators, and private aircraft arriving for the event need coordinated ground logistics. Our airport Sprinter van service and motorcoaches handle crews, sponsors and VIP guests, working with airport staff on gate access and staging areas.

What Sets Our Chauffeurs Apart?

Union Limousine chauffeurs complete defensive driving training, pass background and drug screening, and study the Northshore before they take a single HDC assignment. They dress in suits, open doors, load luggage and keep conversation to the level you prefer.

Vehicle Preparation Before Every HDC Run

Each vehicle is washed, vacuumed and inspected before leaving the garage. Chargers are tested, water is restocked and the climate control is set for the Louisiana weather waiting outside the FBO door.

Child Seats, Accessibility and Special Requests

Infant seats, boosters and accessible vehicles with extra entry space are available on request. Add the detail during booking and the right equipment will be installed before the chauffeur departs for Hammond.

History and Importance of the Airport

Hammond's first airfield opened in 1932 as an emergency stop on an airmail route, and the current site took shape in 1942 when the Army Air Forces turned a new parish airport into Hammond Army Air Field. Bomber and fighter crews trained here through 1945, using a gunnery range northeast of town and the waters of Lake Pontchartrain, and part of the field also held German prisoners of war. The City of Hammond took over the lease in 1947 and has run the airport as a public facility ever since. Today the field covers roughly 920 acres and hosts both civilian and military aviation. The Louisiana Army National Guard built a 56 acre campus on the property in 2008 and 2009, bringing helicopter battalions and an air operations command to Hammond, and in December 2014 a new control tower opened staffed entirely by Guard controllers, the only arrangement of its kind in the country. With over $100 million in improvements planned or completed in recent years, HDC has become the primary business aviation gateway for the Northshore and a reliever for the New Orleans metro.

Airlines Operating From HDC

No scheduled passenger airline serves Hammond Northshore Regional. The airport is built around general aviation, business jets, air charter, flight training, air ambulance and military traffic. Three fixed base operators handle arriving aircraft: Pierce Aviation on Judge Leon Ford Drive, Top Gun Aviation beside the airport industrial park, and Sky X Aviation, which opened in August 2026 as an Avfuel branded facility with maintenance, charter and aircraft management. The Louisiana Army National Guard's 1/244th Air Assault Helicopter Battalion and the 204th Theater Airfield Operations Group are based on the field, and a United States Customs presence allows international general aviation arrivals to clear here.

Domestic Destinations

Because HDC has no airline timetable, destinations follow the charter market. Flight departments and charter brokers regularly connect Hammond with Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Nashville, the Florida Panhandle beaches, Orlando and the Carolinas, and transcontinental trips to New York, Chicago and Southern California are routine for midsize and large cabin jets using the 6,502 foot main runway. Travelers who need a scheduled airline ticket typically drive to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International or Baton Rouge Metropolitan, both within an hour, and we provide those connecting transfers as well.

Terminal Information

There is no airline style terminal at HDC. Passengers move through the FBO buildings, each offering a lounge, restrooms, Wi Fi, crew rest areas, conference space and a ramp side door where chauffeurs meet arriving guests. The airfield has two lighted runways: Runway 13/31 at 6,502 by 100 feet with a full ILS approach, and Runway 18/36 at 5,001 by 150 feet. Both are served by GPS approaches, and the tower manages civilian and military traffic during daytime hours while the common frequency takes over at night.

Passenger Traffic

Commercial enplanement figures do not exist for Hammond because the airport carries no airline passengers. Activity is measured in aircraft movements instead, and FAA records show roughly 86,500 annual operations and about 91 based aircraft, including corporate jets and helicopters. The airport itself reports an average near 230 flights per day across training, charter, corporate and Guard missions. Traffic spikes sharply during the Hammond Air Show and on LSU and Saints game weekends when private jets divert here to avoid ramp congestion elsewhere.

Parking Overview

Parking at HDC is simple. Each FBO maintains a surface lot directly in front of its building for passengers, crews and visitors, and there are no garages, shuttles or ticketed pay stations. Spaces fill during the air show and large Guard exercises, so passengers driving themselves on those dates should allow extra time. Chauffeured arrivals avoid the question entirely, since our vehicles pull into the FBO loading area moments before the aircraft blocks in.

Pickup and Drop Off Guidance

For arrivals, your chauffeur waits inside the FBO lounge or, with line crew approval, on the ramp beside the aircraft. Share the tail number, FBO name and passenger count at booking and the rest is handled. For departures, we deliver you to the FBO entrance 20 to 30 minutes before the scheduled wheels up time, which is all private aviation requires, and the chauffeur assists with luggage to the counter or directly to the aircraft.

Ground Transportation Options

Options at Hammond Northshore Regional are limited by design. FBOs can arrange rental cars delivered to the ramp with advance notice, and crew cars are sometimes available for short errands. Rideshare pickups can take 20 minutes or longer to arrive on the Northshore, particularly late at night, and no taxi stand exists on airport property. Amtrak's City of New Orleans train stops at the historic Hammond station downtown, about three miles from the field, for travelers continuing to Jackson, Memphis or Chicago by rail. A prebooked chauffeur remains the most dependable choice for passengers with a schedule to keep.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Confirm which FBO your flight crew filed for, since the three facilities sit on different parts of the field
  • Expect summer afternoon thunderstorms between June and September that can delay approaches by 30 to 60 minutes
  • Keep United States Customs paperwork ready if arriving from outside the country, as clearance happens on the ramp
  • Pack for humidity; the cabin may be cool but the ramp will not be
  • Tower service ends at 6 PM, so late arrivals operate on the common frequency and FBOs may require after hours notice
  • Share your mobile number with your chauffeur so a quick text can adjust the meeting point if gates change

Why Prebooked Chauffeur Service Works Best at HDC?

Taxis and rideshare apps are designed for dense urban pickups where a driver is always a few blocks away. Hammond is not that environment. Private flights also arrive at odd hours and shift without warning, and app based drivers cannot see your tail number or wait on a ramp. A prebooked chauffeur has already been briefed on your aircraft, your FBO and your destination, carries commercial insurance and a livery license, quotes a fixed fare before you take off and absorbs the delays that private aviation produces. For passengers who chose HDC specifically to save time, the chauffeur completes that decision.
