What we offer

Lake Charles Regional (LCH) Airport Limo Service

Casino weekends start at the LCH curb when a chauffeur in a stretch limousine or party bus takes your group to L'Auberge, Golden Nugget or Horseshoe Lake Charles with bags handled and the rate locked.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Lake Charles Regional (LCH) Airport

Lake Charles Regional (LCH) Airport sits just south of the city on Highway 385, and every flight that arrives there brings travelers into a region where the drive to the hotel, the plant gate, or the casino floor matters as much as the flight itself. Union Limousine provides a Lake Charles Regional (LCH) Airport limo service built around that drive. Our chauffeurs track your inbound flight, meet you at the terminal curb or inside baggage claim, and carry you across Calcasieu Parish and the wider state in a vehicle matched to your group. This page is part of our statewide Louisiana airport limo service, and it covers everything a traveler arriving at LCH needs to know before booking.

LCH handles two airline brands, a short list of daily departures, and a growing passenger base from the petrochemical corridor along the Calcasieu Ship Channel. That mix means the arrivals hall fills quickly when a Dallas or Houston flight comes in, and the people stepping off those flights tend to have somewhere specific to be. We built our LCH schedule around those arrival banks so a car is already waiting when the jet bridge connects.

Why Travelers Across Louisiana, LA Choose Us at LCH?

  • Flight monitoring on every American Eagle and United Express arrival, with pickup times adjusted automatically for early arrivals and weather delays.
  • Meet and greet inside the terminal with a name sign, or curbside pickup under the arrivals canopy, whichever you prefer.
  • Flat rate quotes for transfers to Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, Moss Bluff, Jennings, DeRidder, and destinations across Texas and Louisiana.
  • Licensed, background checked chauffeurs who know the Interstate 210 loop, the Interstate 10 bridge, and the plant access roads along the ship channel.
  • One booking channel for a single sedan today and a 56 passenger coach next quarter, backed by our dedicated LCH airport car service team.
  • Around the clock dispatch, so a 3 a.m. check in for the first Dallas departure gets the same attention as a midday arrival.

Our Fleet for Lake Charles Regional Airport Transfers

Every vehicle Union Limousine sends to LCH is late model, detailed before dispatch, and driven by a chauffeur who handles your luggage from the carousel to the trunk. Capacities below are passenger counts with standard luggage; tell us about oversized cases, golf bags, or equipment crates and we will size up accordingly.

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

The default choice for a single executive flying in from Dallas for plant meetings, a couple heading to a lakefront resort, or a consultant who wants a quiet ride to an office in Westlake. Leather seating, a cabin already cooled against Gulf Coast humidity, and room for three full size bags.

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Families arriving for a weekend at the casino resorts, small project teams with carry on bags and laptop cases, and anyone who wants extra cargo depth. Our SUVs are the vehicle most often requested for LCH to Houston transfers because they handle the long Interstate 10 run in comfort.

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Wedding parties arriving for a ceremony at a Lake Charles venue, bachelor and bachelorette groups bound for the casino strip, prom night pickups, and milestone birthdays. The stretch limousine turns the airport transfer into the first event of the trip.

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

Our busiest LCH vehicle for industrial and corporate work. Turnaround crews, contractor teams, and conference delegates ride together with standing headroom, individual seating, and a rear luggage area that swallows tool bags and duffels.

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Casino weekend groups, Mardi Gras visitors, and reunion crowds who want the celebration to start at the arrivals curb. Perimeter seating, a sound system, mood lighting, and onboard coolers for the ride from the terminal to the lakefront.

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mid sized conference groups, visiting athletic teams playing at McNeese State, church delegations, and corporate site tours. Forward facing coach seating, underfloor luggage bays, and a professional driver who stages at the terminal before your flight touches down.

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Plant turnaround crews, trade show delegations headed to the Lake Charles Event Center, and large tour groups routing through LCH. Restroom equipped, climate controlled, and able to run multi stop itineraries across Southwest Louisiana and into Texas.

Where We Take You from LCH?

Lake Charles Regional (LCH) Airport is the gateway to a five parish region, and our transfers reach every corner of it as part of our broader limo service in Louisiana. The most common drop points from the terminal are below.

Casino Resorts and the Lakefront

L'Auberge Casino Resort and Golden Nugget Lake Charles sit side by side on Contraband Bayou south of Interstate 210, roughly 15 minutes from the terminal. Horseshoe Lake Charles in Westlake and Delta Downs Racetrack in Vinton round out the gaming circuit. We run constant transfers between LCH and all four properties, with chauffeurs who know which porte cochere to use at each one. The downtown lakefront, the Lake Charles Event Center, and the Charpentier Historic District are all within a 20 minute ride.

Industrial Corridor and Corporate Travel

A large share of our LCH bookings come from the energy and petrochemical sector. The refineries and chemical plants of Westlake and Sulphur, the LNG export terminals near Cameron and Hackberry, and the engineering offices along Highway 90 bring a steady flow of executives, inspectors, and contractors through the airport. For plant turnarounds and multi week projects we coordinate repeating transfers for rotating crews, and for larger site mobilizations our Louisiana airport charter bus service moves full teams from the terminal to the job site in one vehicle.

Regional Rides to Houston, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge

Because LCH offers nonstop flights only to Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston, many travelers combine a flight into Lake Charles with a drive elsewhere in the region. We regularly carry passengers to Beaumont and Orange in Texas, to Lafayette and the Acadiana parishes, to Alexandria, and to Baton Rouge. The reverse trip is just as common: a passenger whose flight was cancelled at LCH can be at the Houston hub in about two and a half hours with one of our chauffeurs behind the wheel.

History and Importance of LCH

Commercial service at the current site began in 1961, when Calcasieu Parish opened the field south of the city to replace the older civilian airstrips around Lake Charles. For decades the airport grew in step with the petrochemical industry, which needed dependable connections to national hubs for engineers, executives, and equipment. Hurricane Rita in 2005 damaged the original terminal, and the parish answered with a new 45,000 square foot passenger terminal that opened in 2009 after four years of construction. Built in a Louisiana plantation architectural style with second level boarding, the building was designed to be the first and last thing visitors see in Southwest Louisiana. Hurricanes Laura and Delta struck in 2020 and caused close to $12 million in damage, yet the airport reopened within days and finished repairs while adding new canopies, boarding bridges, and parking. Today the field covers nearly 2,000 acres with two runways, hosts over 30 tenant businesses including a major helicopter maintenance base serving the offshore energy industry, and serves a combined statistical area of roughly 375,000 residents.

Airlines Operating from LCH

Two carriers serve the airport. American Eagle, operated by Envoy Air, flies regional jets to Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) several times daily. United Express, flown by SkyWest and CommuteAir, connects Lake Charles to George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) in Houston. Together they schedule a handful of departures each day, with American boarding at Gate 1 and United using the neighboring gates on the single concourse. American suspended Lake Charles for three months in late 2020 after Hurricane Laura and returned in December of that year, and both carriers have operated continuously since.

Domestic Destinations and Connections

Nonstop service covers DFW and IAH, and those two hubs open up the rest of the map. American advertises connections to over 170 destinations through Dallas, and United lists over 160 onward cities through George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. Popular one stop itineraries from Lake Charles include Chicago, Denver, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Washington, along with international connections through both hubs. The Houston flight takes under an hour in the air, which makes LCH a practical starting point for travelers who would otherwise drive two and a half hours to IAH.

Terminal Information

The passenger terminal is a two story building with one concourse and four gates, each fitted with a passenger loading bridge. Ticketing, baggage claim, and rental car counters are on the ground floor; the security checkpoint and gate area are upstairs. Curb canopies span all three traffic lanes at the front door, so pickups and drop offs stay dry during Gulf Coast downpours. TSA PreCheck is accepted at the single checkpoint, and wait times are typically under ten minutes.

Terminal Hours and Amenities

Doors open at 3 a.m. and stay open until the last arrival of the night. Inside you will find free wireless internet, an ATM, an Airport Business Lounge with coffee service across from Gate 1, vending with hot and cold options, and wheelchair assistance arranged through your airline.

Concessions After Security

For most of its history LCH had no food or drink past the checkpoint. That changed in late September 2025 when the airport opened its first post security concession.

Tailwind at Gate 1

Tailwind sits directly across from Gate 1 on the secure side and offers a full bar with Louisiana draft beer, coffee, hot and cold food, and travel sundries. Allow a few extra minutes if you want to sit down before an early Dallas departure.

Passenger Traffic

Lake Charles Regional recorded its best year on record in 2024, with close to 200,000 passengers boarding flights and a single month in October above 10,000 enplanements. That was roughly 57 percent above the 2019 baseline, a strong recovery for a field that lost its American service for three months during the 2020 hurricane season. Traffic edged higher again through 2025. Airport leadership estimates that about three quarters of travelers in the region still begin their trips by driving to Houston, which is why continued growth at LCH depends on competitive fares and schedules. For our passengers the numbers mean a small, fast terminal where the walk from gate to curb takes under five minutes.

Parking Overview

Parking at LCH is free for airline passengers, a rare benefit among commercial airports in Louisiana. The surface lot sits directly in front of the terminal, was expanded in 2024 to handle record demand, and requires no ticket or payment on exit. The airport's directions and free parking page publishes terminal and area maps along with turn by turn routes from Interstate 10 in both directions. There is no cell phone lot, so drivers waiting for arriving passengers simply park in the main lot and walk over when the flight is in. With a prebooked chauffeur none of this concerns you; your car is staged before you clear the jet bridge.

Pick Up and Drop Off Guidance

All pickups and drop offs happen at the terminal curb beneath the arrivals and departures canopy, which covers three lanes of traffic. The inner lane is for active loading, and sheriff's deputies keep vehicles moving. For departures, ask your chauffeur to stop at the entrance closest to your airline counter; American and United share the same compact ticketing hall, so the walk is short either way. For arrivals, our standard procedure is a meet and greet inside baggage claim, after which the chauffeur brings the vehicle to the curb while you collect bags. If you prefer a straight curbside pickup, text your chauffeur when you reach the carousel and the car will pull up within two minutes.

Ground Transportation Options

On airport options are limited to rental cars. Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National operate counters on the ground floor, and the airport's ground transportation page lists their direct phone numbers; rental desks follow airline schedules and a few close after the last evening arrival unless a late pickup is arranged in advance. Taxis do not queue at the terminal, and rideshare availability depends on how many drivers happen to be near the south side of town at the moment you arrive. City buses do not serve the airport. For rail travel, Amtrak's Sunset Limited stops three days a week at the Lake Charles station on Ryan Street downtown, about 15 minutes from LCH, and we can connect an arriving flight to a departing train.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Pack for the climate. Lake Charles summers are hot and humid, and afternoon thunderstorms are routine; a chauffeur waiting at the curb spares you the walk across the lot.
  • Watch the tropics between June and November. The National Hurricane Center publishes the forecasts that decide whether LCH flights operate, and we monitor them alongside your airline's status page.
  • Expect a short walk. Baggage claim, rental counters, and the curb are all within a hundred feet of each other on the ground floor.
  • Confirm the hub. Delays at DFW and IAH ripple down to Lake Charles, so check your connecting flight before you board the LCH leg.
  • Keep the rideshare app closed. Your chauffeur already has your flight number, your bag count, and your destination.

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Rideshare at LCH?

Small airports expose the weakness of on demand transportation. With one or two flights arriving at a time and no taxi stand, every passenger opens the same app at the same moment and competes for the same two or three drivers. Surge pricing follows, and late evening arrivals sometimes find no driver at all. A prebooked chauffeur removes that lottery. Your vehicle is assigned the day before, your chauffeur tracks the flight, and your rate was fixed when you booked. You also get a professional who knows the plant gates, the casino entrances, and the detours when Interstate 10 bridge traffic backs up. Across our Louisiana airport car service network the pattern holds: the smaller the airport, the bigger the advantage of reserving ahead.

Your chauffeur waits inside baggage claim on the ground floor holding a sign with your name. Once you have your bags, the vehicle is brought to the curb under the canopy. If you would rather go straight to the car, we can arrange a curbside pickup instead and text you the lane and vehicle details before you deplane.

L'Auberge and Golden Nugget are about 12 miles from the terminal, which works out to roughly 15 minutes by car in normal traffic. Horseshoe Lake Charles in Westlake takes closer to 20 minutes, and Delta Downs in Vinton is about 35 minutes west along Interstate 10.

Yes. The drive from Lake Charles to IAH takes about two and a half hours in normal conditions, and we run it in both directions every week. It is a common booking when a connection is missed, when fares out of Houston are lower, or when a group wants to fly into one airport and out of the other.

Every reservation includes live flight monitoring. If your Dallas or Houston flight arrives early, the chauffeur is already in position; if it is delayed by weather at the hub, the pickup time moves with it at no extra charge. You will never be billed for waiting time caused by the airline.

A Sprinter van carries up to 14 passengers with their tool bags and is the usual pick for crews flying in together. Larger mobilizations use a mini charter bus for up to 35 or a full size coach for up to 56, and we can stage several vehicles for staggered arrivals across the same day.

Yes, airline passengers park at no charge in the lot directly in front of the terminal, and there is no ticket or gate on exit. That benefit matters for people driving themselves, but a chauffeured transfer removes the walk across the lot in summer heat or rain entirely.

For the first Dallas and Houston departures we recommend arriving 60 to 75 minutes before the flight. The checkpoint is small and fast, so most of that cushion covers bag check and any delay crossing the Interstate 10 bridge from Westlake or Sulphur. Your chauffeur will suggest a pickup time when you book.

We cover all of Calcasieu Parish along with Jefferson Davis, Beauregard, Allen, and Cameron parishes, and transfers into Texas as far as Beaumont, Orange, and Houston. Flat rates are quoted by destination, so a ride to DeRidder or Jennings costs the same whether traffic is light or heavy.

A stretch limousine seating up to 20 can meet a wedding party at the curb, and we often pair it with an SUV for luggage when the group is flying in with dresses and gifts. Tell us the venue and ceremony time and we will build the schedule backward from there.

When a tropical system closes the airport or cancels your flight, we rebook your transfer for the new arrival time or cancel it without penalty. During evacuation periods we also run ground transfers to Houston, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge so passengers can reach an operating airport.
