What we offer

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY) Airport Limo Service

Convention delegates, Saints game weekends, and cruise groups ride together in Sprinter vans and coaches with our Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY) Airport Limo Service in Louisiana, LA.

Stretch Limo Service to and from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY) Airport

Flights into Kenner arrive from every corner of the country, and the drive that follows should already be settled before the wheels touch the runway. Union Limousine provides chauffeured transfers at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY) Airport for travelers who want a confirmed vehicle, a named chauffeur, and a fixed rate waiting on Level 1. Our Louisiana airport limo service covers MSY along with Lakefront, Baton Rouge Metropolitan, and the regional fields, so one reservation desk handles every arrival and departure you have across the state.

Chauffeured MSY Airport Transfers Across Louisiana, LA

Every reservation is built around the flight itself. We log your airline and flight number at booking, follow the aircraft from pushback to touchdown, and adjust the pickup time on our side when a delay or an early arrival changes the picture. Your chauffeur is positioned at baggage claim before the carousel starts turning, holding a name board, ready to take the luggage cart and walk you to a vehicle parked in the commercial lane. From Kenner, the run to the Central Business District takes about 20 to 30 minutes on Interstate 10, and the Garden District, Uptown, and the Westbank are all within a similar window.

What Comes With Every MSY Limo Booking?

  • Live flight tracking on every airline serving MSY, with pickup times adjusted automatically
  • Meet and greet inside Level 1 baggage claim with a printed name board and help with luggage
  • Complimentary wait time: 60 minutes on domestic arrivals and 90 minutes on the London and Toronto flights
  • One flat quote that itemizes tolls, airport fees, and gratuity before you confirm
  • Chauffeurs who know Airline Drive, the Earhart Expressway, and the Causeway as well as the interstate
  • A dispatch desk that answers around the clock, including Mardi Gras weekend and hurricane season reroutes

Who Books an MSY Airport Limo?

Convention delegates bound for the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center make up a steady share of our MSY schedule, followed by Saints and Pelicans fans, Sugar Bowl travelers, Jazz Fest regulars, and families visiting students at Tulane and Loyola. Energy executives connecting to Houma and Port Fourchon book sedans for the drive down Highway 90, and wedding parties fill the stretch limousines for the ride from the terminal to a Garden District venue. Cruise passengers sailing from Julia Street or Erato Street rely on our Port of New Orleans cruise terminal transfers so the airport leg and the pier leg are handled by the same chauffeur.

Vehicles Available for MSY Airport Transfers

Every vehicle in the Union Limousine fleet is detailed between trips, carries bottled water, and is driven by a licensed, background checked chauffeur. Pick the class that matches your party size and luggage count, and we will confirm the exact model on your reservation.

Sedans (Up to 3 Passengers)

Executive sedans suit solo business travelers and couples arriving with two or three checked bags. Popular for Central Business District hotels, Tulane Medical Center visits, and quick runs to Metairie offices.

SUVs (Up to 6 Passengers)

Full size SUVs carry families and small teams with room for golf bags, strollers, and convention display cases. A frequent choice for Northshore transfers across the Causeway and for Garden District rentals with several suitcases.

Stretch Limousines (Up to 20 Passengers)

Stretch limousines turn an airport pickup into the first stop of a celebration. Bachelor and bachelorette groups arriving for Bourbon Street weekends, anniversary couples, and wedding parties use them for arrivals and for the ride back to Level 3 departures.

Sprinter Vans (Up to 14 Passengers)

High roof Sprinter vans move a full sales team or an extended family from MSY to a single hotel in one vehicle, with standing headroom and rear luggage space for everyone's bags. Ideal for Jazz Fest house rentals and corporate retreats in the French Quarter.

Party Buses (Up to 30 Passengers)

Party buses with wraparound seating, sound systems, and lighting are reserved for Mardi Gras krewes, reunion groups, and sports fans who want the ride from the airport to the Superdome to feel like part of the game day.

Mini Charter Buses (Up to 35 Passengers)

Mini coaches handle convention breakout groups, church delegations, and school bands arriving together. Underfloor luggage bays hold instrument cases and trade show materials, and the coach can stage at the Ground Transportation Center for a single group load.

Full Size Charter Buses (Up to 56 Passengers)

Full size motorcoaches carry incoming conference blocks, athletic teams, and cruise groups from MSY to the convention center, the Smoothie King Center, or the Port of New Orleans with restrooms, reclining seats, and climate control for the full ride.

Service Areas From MSY Across Louisiana

Our limo service in Louisiana covers Orleans and Jefferson Parishes door to door and reaches the Northshore, the River Parishes, Baton Rouge, and the bayou communities on a flat rate quoted at booking.

New Orleans Neighborhoods and Jefferson Parish

Most MSY arrivals head east toward the hotels and neighborhoods that the state tourism office profiles on its guide to New Orleans, and these are the drop points we handle every day:

  • French Quarter and Central Business District, about 20 to 30 minutes via Interstate 10 and the Pontchartrain Expressway
  • Warehouse and Arts District, home to the convention center, the National WWII Museum, and the Julia Street galleries
  • Garden District and Uptown along St. Charles Avenue, including Tulane, Loyola, and Audubon Park
  • Faubourg Marigny, Bywater, and the Frenchmen Street music clubs east of Esplanade Avenue
  • Mid City, Bayou St. John, and the Fair Grounds Race Course during Jazz Fest
  • Metairie and Kenner, including Lakeside Shopping Center and the Clearview corporate corridor
  • The Westbank communities of Gretna, Harvey, Marrero, and Algiers across the Crescent City Connection
  • Lakeview and Lakeshore along Lake Pontchartrain, plus Lakefront Airport for private aviation connections

Northshore, River Parishes, and Beyond

Our MSY airport car service also runs long distance transfers that would cost a fortune by taxi and are often unavailable through ride apps:

  • Slidell, Mandeville, Covington, and Abita Springs across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, roughly 45 to 60 minutes
  • LaPlace, Destrehan, and the River Road plantations in St. Charles and St. John the Baptist Parishes
  • Baton Rouge, the State Capitol, and the Louisiana State University campus, about 80 minutes west on Interstate 10
  • Houma, Thibodaux, and Port Fourchon for the offshore energy sector
  • Gulfport, Biloxi, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast casinos, under two hours east on Interstate 10
  • Lafayette and the Acadiana region for festival weekends and oil and gas travel

Brief History and Importance

The airport opened in 1946 as Moisant Field, named for aviator John Moisant, who died in a 1910 crash on the land where the runways now sit. The code MSY survives from that era and stands for Moisant Stock Yards. The city renamed the facility New Orleans International Airport in the early 1960s and adopted the Louis Armstrong name in 2001 to honor the trumpeter's centennial. The biggest change in the airport's history came on November 6, 2019, when a new $1.3 billion terminal opened on the north side of the airfield, replacing the aging south terminal with 35 gates under a single roof. MSY is Louisiana's largest airport by a wide margin, a Federal Aviation Administration medium hub, and the arrival point for the conventions, cruises, and festivals that drive the region's visitor economy.

Airlines Operating From MSY

Over a dozen carriers serve the airport. Southwest Airlines is the largest by a long stretch, accounting for roughly one third of departing passengers in 2025, followed by Delta, American, and United. JetBlue, Alaska, Allegiant, Breeze, Frontier, Sun Country, and Avelo round out the domestic lineup, with Breeze alone connecting New Orleans to over a dozen cities. British Airways flies to London Heathrow and Air Canada serves Toronto Pearson, while Southwest and Breeze operate seasonal flights to Cancun.

Domestic Destinations

Nonstop routes reach every major hub: Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth, Dallas Love Field, Houston Hobby, Houston Intercontinental, Chicago O'Hare, Chicago Midway, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, and Salt Lake City to the west and north; New York JFK, New York LaGuardia, Newark, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington Reagan, Washington Dulles, Baltimore, and Charlotte to the east; and Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Jacksonville, Fort Myers, Nashville, Minneapolis, Detroit, St. Louis, Kansas City, Austin, San Antonio, Raleigh/Durham, Charleston, Savannah, Richmond, Norfolk, Myrtle Beach, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Bentonville across the rest of the map.

Terminal Information

MSY operates one terminal with three concourses, A, B, and C, and 35 gates arranged on three levels. Level 1 holds arrivals, baggage claim, and the Ground Transportation Center across the arrivals roadway. Level 2 is the single security checkpoint, the concourses, and the main concessions hall with local restaurants and a police substation before the checkpoint. Level 3 is ticketing and check in with over 100 counters. Concourse A on the west end houses the Federal Inspection Station for international arrivals along with Frontier, Breeze, and the other low fare carriers, plus The Club MSY lounge. Concourse B in the center has 14 gates shared by Southwest and American. Concourse C on the east end is the largest with 15 gates for Delta, United, and JetBlue, and it holds the Delta Sky Club and the United Club.

Passenger Traffic

MSY handled 12.42 million passengers in 2025, including 6.22 million enplanements, with domestic traffic making up about 98 percent of the total. The record stands at 13.64 million passengers in 2019, the year the new terminal opened, and the airport has recovered most of that volume since. Southwest alone boarded 2.04 million passengers in 2025. Peak months run from February through May, when Mardi Gras, the French Quarter Festival, and Jazz Fest stack back to back.

Five parking products operate on the airport, and the MSY parking page takes reservations for all of them with QR code entry.

Pickup and Drop Off Guidance

Departing passengers are dropped on the Level 3 ticketing curb, where airline counters are posted on overhead signs by door number. Arriving passengers exit baggage claim on Level 1, where the curb is divided by door number: courtesy hotel and off airport parking shuttles use Doors 1 through 5, public buses load outside Door 2 at Zones B4 and B5, taxis queue at Door 7, ride app pickups use the middle curb and the numbered zones in the Ground Transportation Center, and the rental car and economy parking shuttles stop at Door 9. Our chauffeurs meet you inside at your carousel and walk you to the vehicle, so there is no need to find a zone or wait at a curb.

Ground Transportation Options

Taxis charge a flat $36 for up to two passengers to the Central Business District or the French Quarter west of Elysian Fields Avenue, and $15 per person for three or more. Ride app fares to downtown average around $46 before surge pricing. The RTA 202 Airport Express and Jefferson Transit E2 buses run to downtown for a few dollars with a 45 to 60 minute ride. Rental cars live at a consolidated center at 600 Rental Boulevard reached by shuttle, and hotel courtesy vans serve the Airline Highway properties. A prebooked chauffeured vehicle is the only option that is waiting before you clear the carousel.

Tips for Arriving Passengers

  • Check live conditions on Interstate 10 and the Causeway through the state DOTD 511 Louisiana traveler map before you confirm a tight connection to a meeting
  • Hurricane season runs June through November; we monitor National Hurricane Center advisories and reroute or reschedule at no charge during declared evacuations
  • Summer humidity is intense; cold bottled water is stocked in every vehicle and the cabin is cooled before you board
  • During Mardi Gras and major parades, Canal Street and St. Charles Avenue close for hours; tell us your hotel and we will route around the parade perimeter
  • International arrivals on British Airways and Air Canada clear customs at the Concourse A inspection station; allow 45 to 90 minutes and we will hold the car
  • Keep baggage claim tags handy; MSY carousels are assigned by flight on the Level 1 monitors and change frequently

Why a Prebooked Chauffeur Beats Taxis and Ride Apps at MSY?

The taxi line at Door 7 can stretch past 30 minutes when several flights land together, and ride app surge pricing during the 5 am to 8 am and 4 pm to 7 pm peaks regularly doubles the base fare. A prebooked chauffeur removes both problems. Your rate is locked when you confirm, your chauffeur is already in the terminal when you reach baggage claim, and the vehicle is sized for your party and your bags, which matters when four people arrive with convention crates or golf clubs. You also get a chauffeur who tracked your flight, a receipt that itemizes every charge for expense reports, and a direct number to a human dispatcher if plans change in the air.

Group Arrivals and Convention Transportation at MSY

New Orleans hosts hundreds of conventions a year, and MSY is where most delegates arrive. We coordinate staggered flight manifests into a single ground plan, with greeters at baggage claim, a coach staged in the commercial lane, and a dispatcher reconciling late arrivals so no one is left at the curb. Our Sprinter van service for Louisiana airports covers mid size teams, while motorcoaches handle full conference blocks, incentive groups, and cruise charters sailing from the Port of New Orleans. Shuttle loops between MSY, the convention center, and the Superdome are scheduled on request for multi day events.
